hey guys.ive been growing for bout 4 yrs.so after mad research i made a carbon filter for my setup using sugarbears method. i bought the carbon from petco in the aquarium section. ok sounds good. when i testd the unit however, things didnt go so well. i sprayed body spray in the lower portion of box, and literally stuck my nose by the fan in the carbon and smelled the body spray. my box is sealed (double checked) then i noticed something...THER ARE OTHER TYPES OF CARBON. thats right - liquid phase carbon, and vapor (air) phase carbon.
My issue is,(sorry for rambling) for as long as ive been a member here, everyone says "carbon is carbon and it doesnt matter ,go get it from the aquarium section. " but wouldnt vapor phase carbon be optimal for this application?? is everyone exxagerating the success of liquid-phase carbon? if so, where would i get air phased carbon from?
thank you i love you all. heres a link that may clear things up a bit : http://www.calgoncarbon.com/carbon_products/index.html
