I have used plain 6500k ..4 foot, 40 watt, dual bulb shop light, T-12 bulbs for years...
vegging for 3 weeks...works OK...not great...but ok

Growing costs money...$$$...how fast do you want to grow?

I bought 4 foots T5 6500K !!! AWESOME!

Ok!!! After 1 week under the T5...my plants have grown about 50% faster than under T12!! T5 is the shit...I've been using 400Mh and I can't see a difference between 162w of T5 and 400w MH...!!!
