The whole purposely defoliation is to allow light penetration. From the pics, u have no issue with that. Maybe remove leaves as needed for sure. I am only half in agreeance with the high yield tech. Leaves are your energy factories. The more u learn the more u will agree

hey everyone, the clones are doing their thing, a little bigger
and a little stronger every day now. wish I could show you
some pictures, but for some reason I can't up load anything
onto my posts. starting to wonder if it because I switched to
explorer 9 recently, has anyone else experienced trouble after
making the switch, any help would be appreciated .

a return to the flower room

hey everyone, while we wait for the clones to grow, I thought
we should head back over to the flower room and check out
what's going on. the raptures are done, flushed and ready for
harvest tonight.
the old grandads on the other hand are just now
starting to hit high gear, it's week #5 and next week I'll start
giving them their first dose of Kool bloom powder, stay tune
cause that's when it starts getting interesting !

thank you sir, I haven't had to much time to spend with them lately,
as on Thursday morning I crossed another of lives milestones,
and became a grandpa, holy shit that was hard to type, grandpa.
I remember when I became an uncle for the first time
I thought I was old then, lol, but grandpa ?

At any rate, my oldest daughter had a 7 lbs 14 oz bouncing baby boy,
gonna head out and pick up his first fishing pole this afternoon,
and not one of those "mickey mouse" ones either, thinking maybe
a G~Loomis pole with a Shimano reel, just like mine !

well hopefully this works, here's some pics of my clones
lots of new growth on top, got a lil leaf curl going on
due to the Ph change, but thats going away and more
importantly they all survived. I pushed the rocks back
and checked the roots , there busting out everywhere.
I set the nutes @ 600 ppm and the Ph down to 5.9, as
you can see the moms also made a nice recovery, with
lots of new prospects for my next batch .

A Lil~defoliation.

A Lil~defoliation.

Enough peeking at my buds, back to the thread.

It's been a little over 2 weeks now, and the clones have
grown quite a bit, time to start their training program.
As I mentioned before to some dismay, I will be using
a high defoliation method, during the vegetative process.

There's an excellent article over in the Indoor hydro forums
called " defoliation for high yield technique" that goes into
great depth on this method of vegetating young plants.

I placed the photo's in order, so you can see how I removed
most of the feeder leaves, and how I left all the new growth
to continue growing up wards, I will repeat this 3 or 4 times
about every 10 days, until I have plants with 8 to 10 main
branches of equal length, by then they will be around 24 inches
tall and ready for the flower room.

Note; this does add a few weeks to veg time but IMHO it's
time well spent, early indications from my current flower room
seem to back this up, I have 1 plant in there with 14 cola buds
on it, 14, now thats what I'm talking about !

It's going to be a while till I up~date on the clones again,
I mean who wants to see this 3 or 4 times ?
I'll throw in some pic's from the flower room from time to
time, just to keep things interesting.
