Yup, anxiety all the time with RDWC and Aero. But the yields are crazy!!! I flipped these into flower at 16":Is it me, or does growing hydoponically give ya anxiety? haha...I feel like I constantly got to be checking and the girls...like something could go wrong so quick. I have a hunting trip next week and Ill be gone for probably 5 days. Thats gonna some shit right there.....

Here is the next set in veg scheduled to go in bloom the 24th this month. I dont know if they will be where I want them in size. I want at least 16" plants. Well see I guess.

16" does seem like the golden number for flippin'em. What type of growth rates do you see during veg? My vegin girls seem kinda slow but then again, I could be being to critical.
I know I want to drop the rockwool, I hate how soaking wet it stays. Gonna use lava rocks with the next up and coming girls.
From rooted clone I place 15 of them into a 2x4' E&F tray. They Veg on that tray under a Pioneer VI (330 watts) for 12 days. On day 4 they get topped and on day 6 they or 7 they get topped again. On day 10 they get SuperCropped. On day 11 or day 12 they go into what I call VEG-B in RDWC and every 10 plants get 1200-2,000 watts for up to 10 days max. After that every 10 plants now go to flower under 2,000 Watts. After the VEG-A and VEG-B the plants are 16" bushes. My old method these plants would finish at 55" from 16" but I'm trying to see if I can keep them smaller by gently breaking and bending them. We will see how that goes. Would love to see if I can keep these around 36" when they finish and still get 4 pounds for every 2,000 watts.

Hey and I forgot to ask you, how many plants do you flower at a time? You said every ten gets a dedicated 2kw, what do the remainder 5 get since you start with 15?
And I found out I was feeding to much. After reading so many threads on RDWC and doing online search I decided to cut my EC down.
I thought my girls were veggin' kinda slow, and then the pH dropped .1. Not much I know but enough to cut the EC, so I dropped down to 1.0ec/500ppm and the plants have considerable grown more.
I gotta remember less is more with RDWC. I dropped my flowering girls down to 1.3ec/650ppm because I thought the roots were looking a little pinkish after a nutrient change that I had'em at 1.8ec/900ppm.
Peeps dont lie about the quickness of hydro. Over night the roots are purely white again spidering out.
So basically I wont ever exceed 1.3-1.4ec unless the plants tell me other wise.
Im really starting to like this hydro business. I CAN NOT WAIT TO HAVE SOME VERTICAL TREES!!
I think I finally have it figured out and dialed in. After my first hydro harvest im going to invest in a co2 controller. I have a liquid cooled propane generator but no controller. Winter is the only time I can really run co2 because I can seal up the room. That shit aint possible in the summer, I gotta vent the shit outta of my flower room.

Im not going to lie, this PPM/EC thing is so whack!
My meter gives me whatever reading I want. I can choose EC or PPM and a handful of other readings.
Even if you have a meter the is 500 or 700 conversion, once you flip over to ppm doesnt the conversion mean nothing?
That is what gets me.....I know for EC there is a conversion but its basically dividing the PPM by either 500 or 700, right?
I just leave my meter in PPM mode....EC is cool and all but it only reads to the tenths

Something important to keep in mind along with above is that well over 90% of the growers/forum goers will speak in PPM without the knowledge of the e.c. or conversion factor of their meter.
This means that when 1 grower says 1200 ppm is perfect and where you should be, he's probably actually talking 1.71 e.c. because he has a 700 meter. But if you ran at 1200 ppm you'd be at 2.4 e.c. and burn the shit out of your girls.
1200 ppm is perfect for him but he's clueless about the conversion factor. Hell they may even argue about it with all their worldly knowledge. Yet because they don't know about conversion factors, or their true e.c. they instead perpetuate some amount of ignorance.
Not sure if above came out the way I wanted, but hopefully you get the point.
When I speak of ppm, I always include the e.c. and conversion factor of my meter so hopefully someone less informed learns about it. I learned about these conversion factors right here on this sight thanks to Undercurrent. And this site is where I'm least involved in this thing of ours.
