My story, my AK47 grow and my OD-plans!

Hello there ICMAG!
I've been lurking around for almost a year on CB-forums. This one mostly, looking for inspiration and ideas and I think I finally found out what I want to do!

This thread is something like a warmup for what there is to come but I still wanna share my story and with you and get feedback on my acts. Fails as well as genious moves!
And I really hope I have something to bring to the community!
Learn by misstakes if nothing else! :chin:

Well! Here goes nothing!
I live in Sweden at 60+ lat. (Yeah, polarbears roam the streets and its -40C all around the year, or something...)
I got tired of all the people around me that "talk the talk" about growing weed and never doing anything more then talk. So I ordered some AF-seeds from a domestic seedshop last spring. The seeds were from a new breeder called "nordenseeds". AK47x. According to a thread on swecan is it AK47 from Serious seeds & Lowryder#1.
Should suit my cold climate! Perfect!

I hunted down 7 different spots to plant at. I really tried to think about putting them moisty enough after Ive read that dehydration was "common".
Little did I know that the "summer" would bring like more rain then the last 5 all together. When July ended I had 4 plants still alive. The rest was planted probably to wet from the start, and after this spring/summer there was no chance for them...

I can plant them outdoor around 3-4 june if I see a week of sun commin up. There is some old saying that its possible to see frost as late as 8 june.
I thought about it and planted 1 (one poor soul...) high up on a mountain as frost-compensation. Far away from any moist and water in the lowland and guess wich one grew best? :drum:

In mid may I pre-vegged my 32(?) babies in a bookshelf at a window.
It was quite a fail. After 3 weeks they hadnt fully rooted the cups 0.4 liters. Not even close acctually, and I recon almost all of them got some root-damage when I transplanted the in the (soon to be mud) earth. I gave each plant about 10 liters of regular plant-soil from the grocerystore.

Due to paranoia didnt I take alot of pics. The final result gave me about 35grams.
Even thou I had to harvest way to early cus of really shitty weather I was more then happy with the outcome concidering my knowledge and experience. The lack in harvest was so compensated by gained experience!
This is some pics from 13-20 aug.

I felt I had to try something again with a few seeds I had left.
Said and done!
I built a box 120*120*160 (4'x 4'x 5'4') and added a 600W HPS, a small bathroom-ventilationfan since smell is not a problem.
1 tablefan just for moving the air around in the box.
Temps between 14-26 degrees.
The 5 ladies stand in 12liter buckets. About 2 liters of claypebbels in the bottom, a mix of 4 liters soil, 1 liter of perlite, 1 liter vercumilite, 1 liter pebbles.
As nutrition ive used orchiid-nutrition for blooming orchids.
On top of that Ive added ½ strength of AN Bud Candy week 1-5 in flower.
I was planning to go all Hydro with another 600w, but this plan failed. Since Im stuck with soil ill get some GHE Maxibloom till next round.

Brb!

Continue..

Here comes some shots from 1 Nov from my box!
This is my groowroom with 5 AK47x

On the left you see another pheno. totally different.. I managed to hurt her while vegging so bad that the stem splitted about 3 cm (1inch).
She has been early to flower. About 4-7 days before the rest.

The mid is LST, just to compare the growthspeed. She seem to be about 10-11 days behind the dmg.

The right one is going all normal...

LST topview.

Ill keep updating a little now and then with more pics from the boxgrow.

When all those ladies are done, ill go with a few DP-seeds.
I have 3 regular WWxTU seeds going on, and 2 Euforia.
They been raised under a 250w LE, LST, HST, beaten, topped, supercropped, FIMed... litterally abused!
The plan is to transplant them to 20liter-buckets (they are in 12 now) and then add a scrog-net in the cabin.
That... will be another thread I think!

After some serious abuse 16 Nov..

Well, i'ts just a tease... Ill make something serious out of it at the Soil-forums once I get going!

I am in a Auto-flower-forum.. so... whats my OD upcomming Auto-plans?

In short; A test-garden in the middle of nowhere.

The plan is to veg them under lights 3-4 weeks from seed and then transplant them into this "garden" of mine in early june.
With a lil' luck I'll have good weather (= temps between 26-27C during days, down to 13-14C nighttime) and the sun will shine on these ladies about 16 hours/day straight on. Then another 5 h light and 3 hours dark (well, not dark.. but not daylight either!)
Worstcase weather Is like 10C and rain all june, july and aug. That was what happened last year, except about 10 days when it was okay. :/
I plan on harvest late aug/beginning sept. That gives the seeds about 120 days lifecycle. Should be sufficient even with my cold conditions.

Im planning a 4m2 (3,5x13 feet) scrog with Nordenseeds AK47x (now called Auto Viking AK47)
Side by side-grows with different nutritions.
Try a vert sog-wall with 2 or 3 plants.
See how DPs new autos handle cold climate.

Do you have any ideas, any questions, any input?
Ill gladly listen! :thank you:

Sounds like you have things planned out better than most. 120 days seems like sufficient time to get some flowers especially if start them inside. I am gonna try to run some Maxigom outdoors in my GH this winter. We get nowhere near your cold temps though. Good luck man. Trial and error is the only way to learn what can be done in your environment.

Are you uploading your pics to IC or taking them from another site? I load pictures into my album and then hit the go advanced button under the reply box and then hit the upload images button on the right hand side of the screen and then click on whatever pics i wanna add to my post. Hope that helps.

I had to HST the one in in the back to the left since she wanted to stretch ALOT..
I just massaged and then snapped the stem. used some electrical tape to help the stem stay at about 90 degrees and left it like that.

Whats your results with those AK47x and in what "zone" did you grown them?
Grams/plant, prevegg, ferts and so on?

(in sweden we have different growingzones since the country is 2000km long with quite harsh conditions...)

If I remember correct it was 60 g on the AK's and I live in zone 2-3 but it was the shitty weather 6days of full sun that was the problem. Hasselfors u-jord and cowshit. About 15 L/plant 60-70% cowshit. Added some hesi pk the last three weeks.

Nice results Dudin. I figure u wanna follow my summer OD thread when its time.. ;)
Ill sure as hell wont hold back on anything! :dance013:

Well, Here is some pics from 18 Nov. They are all going just fine and are still somewhat exploding..

It seems to be 3 different scents from the plants. The damaged one had a fruitier smell, and the other 4 have a more earthly smell with hints of lime/citrus in 2 different versions. (2 plants per smell)

The spear!

Still just going on that orchiid-nutritions... :D

Here is the last 2 plants.
First out the LST; She had ALOT of small, fluffy popcorn wannabes. Got most trim out of this girl, by far! :)
She yielded 55 g and was 57 cm tall.
https://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=41674&pictureid=985408

then the one that I had to snap in midflower cus she got so tall..
Back to the left.
She yielded 72 grams and was 94 cm. Im quite amazed with that weight, concidering that the other plant in the back seemed quite alot bigger.

The LST and the back-lefty SBS!

And the right back and front left SBS.

I know its shitty trimmed, Instead of picking on me for that, please find something nice to say... :)

So... This is it!

So... This is it!

The small damaged plant generated about 33g.

This gives a total of 295g bud that went into curing.
On top of that there was 65g trimm
So 350 g~ under a 600w is 0,58g/w.

Im impressed of myself concidering Ive had temps between 10-22 / 15-27 C depending on the days... (colder later in the grow..)
And Ive gave them only nutrition from the local store... some "nutrition for blooming orchiids". Well, thats not entirely true. they had about 1/5 of the recommended dose of AN bud candy during flowerweek 2-5!

All smelled something like hay/dirty/citrus just after harvest. The longer they cure the better they smell. Now its mainly a limon/fresh/pine-smell.

The smoke was quite different inbetween the plants!
The damaged plant was a bastard, a hallucinogene bastard! I was quite a mess for a while with serious disorientation and derealiasation. It was so intense that I stopped smoking for a week-10 days. The confusion was about a light shroomtrip, and the mindfuck gave me something like a really small 2D CEV when I closed my eyes and the brain went nuts. :dance013:
My friend told me thesame. He was quite mindfucked on this plant too.. but he added that he became horny instead of getting the munchies, and the orgasms was like a 20-sec thingy. (!!!)
Gotta test sex on that plant before I move her away. :bump:

The LST and the left front was way better imo. "Normal" fuzz, easy going and still strong.

The back right was somewhere inbetween the easy ones and the damaged monster-plant. Still a little hallucinogene, but not troublesome.

Havent tried the snapped one in the back left.
All 4 I tried had a easy, fresh smoke. getting better and better while it cures!
It allowes you the possibility to activate oneself after smoking this. Thou if you allow it, there is no problem finding the indica couch lock.
Not really for sleeping I recon. Well, if you not go for a really big strong hit that is.

Here is a pic of the harvest and a Hello from one of my helpers! ;)
The setup is likewise the overview-pics from the grow.

Thanks for shown interest!

Ive just started a scrog-thread you might find interesting..
Check it out some time after newyear since I wont be able to update before..

Enjoy! :)
