Marijuana House Mafia (Perpetual 800W~Vertical) - [1#Crop - in progress]

Hey guys.

This is my second time posting on ICMag, the last time I posted I had a smaller setup than I have now and it went a little bit sideways so I didn't want to post the results. Here it is just as a reference: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=2855953#post2855953

In any case, it's a new day and I have partnered up with two mates to make the biggest grow room we ever had.

This is our setup right now.

Setup:

Mother Cabinet

• DarkStreet 60cm x 60cm x 140cm
• CFL 150W
• Fan

Clones Cabinet

• Homebox XXS 60cm x 60cm x 120cm
• UFO 33W

Seeds

• 6 x Northern Lights ( White Label ) [ 2 of which will become mothers ]
• 6 x Blackjack ( Sweet Seeds ) [ 2 of which will become mothers ]
• 3 x Ice Cool ( Sweet Seeds ) [ 1 of which will become mother ]
• 3 x Kaya 47 ( Advanced Seeds )

OK, so now you know the setup and initial seeds I am going to tell you the rest of the plan.

We had the seeds germinating for a couple of days in the closets and then put them in the soil.


Mother Cabinet


In a primary stage, we have them all vegetating in the two cabinets. Day 0 was today and this is how they look

When they mature to 3 weeks, they will be transplanted to 7 litre vases where they will vegetate in both closets simultaneously for 2 months.
After that, we will pick the healthiest / better evolved of each strain to become mothers.
Then we will put the other 12 seeds in a flowering cabinet with these specs

Flowering Cabinet

• Homebox XXL 120cm x 240cm x 200cm
• HPS 600W
• RVK L1 150mm 650 m3/h ( outtake )
• RVK A1 125mm 220 m3/h ( intake )
• Carbon Filter 780 m3/h
• Light-rail will be a future addition

We also added a humidity dome (I think that's the name) to the cloning cabinet at this point.

In this stage we will have:

6 mothers in Mother Cabinet (Vegetating)
12 plants in Flowering Cabinet (Flowering)


Clones Cabinet


We will then procede to take clones from the 6 previously chosen mothers. We expect to keep 20 of them to flower but it's my first time cloning so I'm not really sure how many stems I should cut or if I should trim the mothers in any way after taking the clones. Help would be appreciated concerning this point.

After taking the clones, we will put them in the dome where they'll be rooting for 12 days. Then, they will be moved from the dome into the soil in 3L vases to vegetate for 1 month. We expect to move them to the flowering cabinet with the seeds from before when the seeds are already 6 weeks into flowering. We will also be taking more clones at this point and rooting them.

In this stage we will have:

6 mothers in Mother Cabinet (Vegetating)
12 plants and 20 clones in Flowering Cabinet (Flowering)
20 clones in the dome in Clones Cabinet (Rooting)

The seeds will now complete their 2 month flowering period and we will take them from the flowering cabinet, cut them and put them to dry.

At this point the following will happen:

• Cutting and drying of the initial 12 plants
• Passing of the second batch of clones from the Clones Cabinet to the Flowering Cabinet

In this stage we will have:

6 mothers in the Mother Cabinet (Vegetating)
40 clones in the Flowering Cabinet (Flowering)
20 clones in the dome in the Clones Cabinet (Rooting)
12 harvested plants drying in Drying Cabinet


After this we expect to cycle harvests every 1.5 months give or take.

Yesterday we realized that half a UFO lamp (32W) is not enough for all those plants so we moved most of the plants to the Mother Cabinet, resulting in a 16 + 2 combination.

We were discussing whether to do it or not because of the temps, but so far so good I believe. They're not going over 28ºC with the cabinet closed

Note: This duct goes directly to the closest window to extract the hot air from the cabinet.

Ok, so the UFO wasn't cutting it for 9 plants nor for 2 plants, they were so behind in growth comparing to the others in the Mother Cabinet that we had to get another CFL 150W for the clones cabinet. We then reorganized them, placing 9 plants in each cabinet.
We also needed to add exhaust if we were going to add a CFL, so we used the existing RVK extractor to pull the air from both cabinets using a T-based structure.

Finally I will post pictures of the repot. I decided to divide them by time: before, process, after.

[1]Cut off the vessel with a sharp scissors and made two deep cuts, so as to remove the plant with all its roots

OK, so first of all I want to say that we're here for maximum yields.

That said, we are going to go vertical on the homebox XXL and we have started defoliating already in vegetative to prepare them for defoliation in blooming.

Now, we removed all fan leaves except the top 3 pairs and the result was this



However, we were unhappy with the final canopy inside the cabinet so we decided to grow a pair and snip another pair on each plant






So, this is the canopy before defoliating





And this is the final result after defoliating




They could probably endure with yet another fan leaf pair removed on each one but, since it's the first time we're doing this, we decided to leave it as is.

I dont understand why you have to destroy perfectly good pots to repot plants that dont need repoting?

Defoliation logic right there.

Do you think? They will have at least 2months and half of veg.. they need bigger pots!
Besides this pots will never going to use again.. That's why we cut them.

I used again the defoliating on every plant so they are only with two primary leafs.

Thanks man! They will have a grow tent with 2,40*1,20*2m wich will be perpetual later with clones

Only in the flowering room the setup will be vertical.
