You people literally live in your own reality.

Here are the issues "Everytown for Gun Safety" fights for. Which DO NOT include the repealment or ending of the Second Amendment;

https://everytown.org/issue/background-checks/

https://everytown.org/issue/domestic-violence/

https://everytown.org/issue/preventable-deaths/

https://everytown.org/issue/gun-trafficking/

Everytown for Gun Safety is a partisan joke that constantly distorts the facts. Bloomberg and Watts are scum as far as I'm concerned.

Fake News !!! Russia Russia Russia ! :jerkit I am not going to debate you mainly because I don't like you...and I do not wish to waste my time with someone I have zero common ground with. Love of cannabis aside.

So take a hike.

Everytown for Gun Safety:

A 10-year-old student attempted to throw a chair at his teacher during class, and was then forcibly removed from the classroom by an armed police officer,” stated Everytown.

“While being escorted out, the student hit the police officer in his belt, discharging the officer’s handgun, firing into the floor. No injuries were reported,” continued the site. The news report of the incident clarified that the aggressively fighting student had purposely reached into the cop’s holster and deliberately pulled the trigger. Again, nobody was hurt.

That’s obviously an alarming situation, but re-read the description. A trained, certified, badge-carrying police officer’s gun discharged during the course of his official duty, while he was trying to stop a violent kid. This is what Everytown is counting as a “school shooting” and adding to their 291 count!

How about this one? “As an unidentified school employee arrived at work in the morning, he went to lock his handgun in his car’s glove compartment while parked in the school lot,” said the gun control organization, based on a local news report.

“He then unintentionally discharged the gun, shooting through a window in the car. Police announced the man was licensed to carry the handgun, and that licensed school employees are allowed the have a gun locked in a car on campus, and therefore no charges would be filed.”

Again, it looks like some people need to refresh their knowledge of proper gun handling, but this incident didn’t even happen in a school. It was in a car located in the parking lot.

i thought you said they wanted to confiscate guns though? why are you moving the goalposts? i don't give a shit what this organization includes or fails to include in their criteria. you as plain as day said they want your guns. which is a lie.

and now you want to nitpick over how many school shootings per year occur? as if a few inflated stats change anything lmao... our gun homicide numbers are an embarrassment to the world. no other advanced country comes even close, and in part it's because of people like you that equate universal background checks and common sense gun regulation with total gun confiscation.

At this point in history, it almost seems like America is ready for another civil war. I don't see how the different sides can reconcile. You have one side defending the original constitution and generally valuing personal freedom and the other side is moving closer to all-out socialism every day.

I'll be the first one to stand up and offer a solution. I vote that the constitutional supporters start a charity to purchase one-way tickets to Venezuela or Cuba for any American citizen that yearns to live under Socialism. Seems like it would solve everybody's problem. I guess the alternative is a straight up civil war pitting a bunch of weapons owners that can live off the land against people opposed to guns that lived in rich suburbs their whole life. Wonder how that'd work out for the skinny jeans crowd ?

the right wing doesn't defend or support the constitution though, this is meaningless political rhetoric. they're a completely bought out corporate party just like the democrats but 100x worse. they're basically neo-fascists (11 of the 14 Defining Characteristics of Fascism apply directly to the Republican Party and the American political system at large)

venezuela's economy is 2/3 privately owned. socialism is the opposite. they have the world's highest inflation.

if you think the establishment democrats are socialist, you need to pay more attention. they're not even liberals. the clintons and barack obama for example are moderates leaning towards the right on important issues such as the economy and foreign policy.

a second civil war would be a divide and conquer strategy. it's us vs the elites. the sooner half the country wakes up from their propagandic slumber and understands this, the better.

Aside from #5, #8 and #11, how is this not the USA? and even then, arguments could be made #5 and #11 could apply to the US as well.

alright...I'll waste my time with you only once more. I am sick and tired of the condescending, self righteousness that you spew.

Myself, as the majority of citizens, agree on background checks before delivery of any gun. I know that may not be the view of a ton of gun owners...as some believe in no restrictions...but when you belong in a society, there must be common sense restrictions. People suffering from mental illness should be excluded just as much as people convicted of violent crimes. Watts and Bloomberg would love to see the US do what Australia did...guaranteed ! The problem with that...only law abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would not. And we have a shit ton more bad guys.

We have a few thousand murders a year related to gun violence. Now gun deaths are a different stat. Suicide is a terrible thing.

I can't see a solution to the USA's gun problem, and it is a problem, go ask the parents of all the kids killed in school shootings, or all the kids killed who had access to their parents lethal weapons and ended up either shooting themselves or another kid.

Insecurity within our own societies leads to us wanting to protect our own families, often with firearms, if that is at all possible.......its 'The Alamo Complex', and people don't like to feel that they will be without weapons to defend themselves if the shit does hit the fan, and society breaks down to the extent that they might need guns to preserve their lives and liberty....

Its a political 'Hot Potato'.....but I can't see Americans giving up their weapons without some sort of civil war.

I do see an issue with guns in the US and when I was a citizen there I owned a couple, sadly I had to, was just they lay of the cards. I now live in a country (NZ) where you need a police endorsement to own anything more than a shotgun or basic rifle, but at the same time I have in no way a need to own either, I much prefer it this way. We hardly have gun crime here, but we do still have it. It's incredibly expensive to own a handgun or anything else illegally here, but again if I really wanted to I could get one.

I personally don't think talk of gun control will do anything positive for America, it's too ingrained in us, shit, it's in our constitution. I'd love to offer an end all and be all solution but there simply isn't one, we'll need to see how society moves this one and that isn't up to any of us singularly, but societaley and culturally, lets hope we make the right choices.

I'm not here defending the left or right wing, I don't belong to a political party. You can see by the spending bill that just went through that neither side is "conservative" with our money.

I'm referring to everyday people and how they view how society should operate. I'm talking like go to a cafe or bar and ask how things should be run. Half the country fundamentally believes the government should provide robust services at the cost of higher taxes, and half would prefer much fewer services choosing to fend for themselves more or less.

On the left and right people elect officials who campaign on these beliefs and then betray us for the same globalist bullshit agenda that doesn't fully help any of us.

I digress. Please don't interpret my views as stumping for a party. I just have a fundamental belief that time after time we see politicians screwing us over, dem or rep, I've seen it enough times at this point in my life that I would prefer to just keep more of my paycheck and try to solve my own problems. Is that so wrong?

" There are three types of lies. . .damned lies. . . and statistics. "

Anyone interested in a " Study " should study the whole Russian collusion thingy.

C'mon almost 1.5 years and nothing to show for it ?

Their is absolutely something to show, the democrats were in bed with Steele who was being feed info from Russian sources. The Clinton camp was colluding with the Russians.

The germans are crazy, some of the left wingers hate their own country. We´ve got a discussion if it is OK to say yes to your "Heimat". It´s unbelievible?! For them is everybody a Nazi who loves his "Heimat", homeland in english. It has to do with the german history.

The real problem is most people don't understand how to think critically to be able to see beyond imprint and bias.

It is a difficult conversation to have because manipulation is done by people of high intelligence who can think naturally outside the mainstream paradigm and use that ability to control common perceptions and frankly no one wants to hear they aren't thinking logically no matter how nicely you say it.

Probably why I only say things nicely once these days and if someone tries to give it back any other way I am glad to reciprocate.

As far back as I can remember the FBI hasn’t given regular updates on current investigations, a fact that is overlooked these days by some.

And while I dislike politicians as a whole, it would be refreshing to only wake up to an email “scandal” versus the broken sewer pipe that currently flows unrestricted.
