Dominion Seed Company / Duke Diamond Throw Down

I

i0dineAlf

Guess who's back ? :rasta:

I wanted to start a new journal for a few reasons.

A. The last one was real sloppy.

B. There were lots of mistakes made in the grow.

C. I couldn't give great descriptions of the strains due to the temperature and humidity being off when drying.

Also, this grow will be 90% Dominion Seed Company / Duke Diamond.

What has been started:

A. Dominion G - Road Kill Skunk / Chem strain.

B. 6 Mill - Straight gas factory.

C. Mountain Berry - Sagarmatha Bubbleberry x Cinderella 99

D. Pinebomb - Old Durban x Screaming Eagle

E. Skunk / NL 5 X Super Silver Grail Haze

F. Stashplant - Puck x Screaming Eagle

The other four strains are not Dominion

G. Bodhi Seeds - Strange Brew

H. Bodhi Seeds - Silver Mountain

I. Bodhi Seeds - Tigermelon2 x Sunshine Daydream

J. Inhouse Genetics - Wedding Cake x Platinum

The goal this round is to produce some killer sativa buds.

The strains listed in bold are supposed to have extreme sativa effects.

Time will tell!

Below is my current stock.

More pics to come. :smokeit:

Day 14 Above Soil ?

Day 14 Above Soil ?

So the germination rate on the seeds was awesome!

However, I made a mistake. :bashhead:

I told my partner to mix the Fox Farm Ocean Forest with the Happy Frog (50/50) in the solo cups.

Only issue was there was no Happy Frog soil.

The only thing sitting around was the Happy Frog Fruit & Flower Fertilizer.

So that caused some serious issues.

100% my fault.

My friend follows everything to a T.

Nowhere to put the blame but myself.

On to the good news...

Those that survived are in a great soil mix and ready to take on the world.

I popped a few more, so they will be behind but that's alright.

Hope everyone is ready for the greatest grow journal ever. :bis:

Feel free to ask questions.

Can’t wait to see this finish out. Killer genetics. Really interested in that 6mil. I got a pack I’m waiting

Thanks for joining me on the journey. :lurk:

And the compliment on the genetics.

I think we're both stoked to see what the 6 mill is about.

When you see Duke's face in the interview below talking about how it's some of the stinkiest weed he has ever grown, you cant help but be excited!

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhvXIZGs9tg

I'm sure you will find 5 or 6 keepers in your pack.

Have a great weekend! :smokey:

Im in for the ride. best of luck to you.

Hi there! :smoke:

Thank you for following along.

In my previous journal, I show people what soil mix I use.

If you're interested let me know.

In this grow, you will learn what not to do in a scrog.

Talk soon. :dance013:

Day 14 Veg

So the plants were FIMed yesterday.

The bottoms were cleaned as well.

However, we are planning on keeping clones.

So there's still enough on the bottom for that.

The scrog has been lowered at least 5 more inches since last time.

Hopefully this helps with the previous light situation.

All of the plants that were started two weeks ago came up, except for one.

We're back on track and ready to roar! :shooty:

All plants will be vegged for two more weeks.

Then we will start the flowering.

The comparison we will more than likely be doing regards to yield:

A. 42 day veg under 400 watt de.
B. 28 day veg under 800 watt de

Couldn't be more excited.

If anyone has any questions let me know.

Wow, that's a pretty good lineup!
I'm very interested in Duke Diamond. Been hearing great things.
And he was raised in Virginia!

Mmhh.. Bshw by coastal.. F2 please!! :)

Hello sir! :plant grow:

I made the splurge on the Coastal BSHW mainly due to listening to the breeder of aficionado say (on the pot cast) it's the best weed he's ever smoked in his life.

He named another strain as well from Mean Gene from Mendocino, who is the breeder of Freeborn Selections.

I believe it was the Lime Pop, but I could be wrong.

Here is the pot cast: https://soundcloud.com/the_pot_cast/leo-stone-of-aficionado-mendocino

I'm more than happy to send you some F2 when that process is done. :whip:

My goal is to have two packs of every strain I plan on keeping for the future and do an open pollination.

One room will be open pollination of the strain, the other room will be for flowering out the females and narrowing down the keepers from the two packs.

Unfortunately I only got one pack of the BSHW, for $300.

I was told only 55 packs were made but who knows.

Keep in touch and drop a link to your current grow. :respect:

Hello there! :smokeit:

Thank you for the compliment.

I try to grab as much of Duke's gear as I can.

I have only grown a few of his strains previously, but the Purple Dahlia seemed to be everyone's favorite from last round.

It's Lavender x Screaming Eagle.

If you're bored and need something to listen to while cutting grass, working out, or working from home during the day - give this a listen: https://soundcloud.com/the_pot_cast/episode-1-duke-diamond-va-of-brothers-grimm

Obviously he's not with Brothers Grimm anymore, but the interview is still killer.

Listened to it a dozen times.

Can't wait to run his Shineapple.

It has the Virginia Beach Afghani.

Have a great weekend! :moon:

Thanks iodine!!
I haven't heard that interview on MediaFire yet.
I've listened to every episode of potcast.

He's been on Adam Dunn Show, and Dude grows show, a few times.

I even heard him call into the Adam Dunn Show before he got famous. They didn't know who he was. Mitch said it sounded like they knew all the same people tho.
Said he was buddy's with subcool.

You know of any other Duke Diamond interviews?

Yeah, the pot cast is fucking solid.

I like it because the interviewer actually lets the breeders talk.

That's the thing about the Adam Dunn show.

IMO, he never quits talking.

Let the guests talk lol.

He did the same thing with Bodhi on there.

The only other Duke Diamond interview I have of interest is right here: https://soundcloud.com/the-cannabis-connection/duke-diamond-va-042018

He discusses drying, which is a serious issue I have.

That issue will be resolved this round.

He did a live discussion a few weeks ago on Instagram and I missed it.

I was pissed but shit happens.

Have a great weekend! :joint:

Howdy!

Nice seed collection. Have heard good things about Duke. He works with the old school strains and that's what I love. Going to have to give Dominion a whirl sooner or later. Hopefully this winter.

That Sag Bubbleberry x c99 is going to be a really nice pairing. That one should be in bold as well as I think it will lean more towards "sativa" in effect. Excited to see that one flower out.

Nice plants, they look happy! Be cool to to see some non hps shots, maybe individual strains closer up. I haven't found too many journals on Dukes gear so curious.

Will definitely follow this one, thanks for posting up!

Oh and I totally agree on The Pot Cast, killer show. He asks a question then listens to the answer, as long as it takes. Dunn can't go more that 45 sec without getting the dt's from not talking about himself. I like the show, just something I noticed. Also they can't get the audio or a phone call tech right after all these years haha!

Have a great weekend!

The plants don't look bad for me trying to kill them with fertilizer.

I'm sure you will enjoy the interviews as much as I do.

Keep you posted on the progress and fuck-ups along the way. :beat-dead

Hello there!

You are correct on all counts.

A. Duke claims the Mountian Berry is perfect for socializing and is motivational. Definitely not mostly indica.

B. I need to and will take some non-hps shots and give more detail on each strain.

C. Adam Dunn never quits talking lol.

I guess we should be thankful there's an array of shows to listen to, but the pot cast is where it's at, in my opinion.

The owner of the Pot Cast has a seed company as well called Heavy Dayze genetics that are for sale at headiegardens.

It's nice he doesn't plugg his own seed company 24/7.

If you're interested in old school genetics, you should check out Gooeybreeder.

I ran his gear last round and was pleased with all of it.

Please critique along the way.

I will make lots of huge mistakes. :blowbubbles:
