here's what I do with 2 600S: 59"x59" = 48 watts/sq foot, not quite enough! There are dark spots on the edges, not sure if I should move them up to spread the light out (thereby increasing distance,) or leave it alone and see how they do.

Phatty, why not just move plants in and out of the light margins. Looks like you have them in pots, right? Just rearrange the ones on the edges to the center here and there.

MJ, Originally missed your question, so I edited my post. The SS went in 7/24 already showing some bud action up top and smells fantastic when the stem is rubbed.

So an update on mine. It is getting a little disorganized in here. I have been shoving things in here and there to get them out of veg. So in the back row mostly Jack Herer the rest is C99. Considering Jack is In C99, I wanted to see how they ran side by side. Cindy as usual is a stretcher and quickly came up in height to match the Jack. The plants that are a little yellowed in coco next to the male are Sensi Star and Sweet Tooth. Duplicate SS and ST are in veg being cut and trained for bonzai mothers. They came with a few mites that got out of hand and they have not yet regained their full green yet after treatment. A couple of others went in in coco, both are based on Salmon Creek, a Humboldt Original. One is SCxNL5 the other is SCxPurple Urkle. Again, duplicate moms sit in veg for each of those.

You might notice a male in there. He is not near flowering yet, but because a friend that recently passed away gave him to me, I have decided to start crossing with it. He was unsure if it was Webster or Shoreline. Never the less, it will be bred with both the Sensi Star and Sweet Tooth that he gave me. The new strain will be named in his honor after back crossing over generations and spread out to friends interested in trying it.

The close ups are Jack acting naughty. The other is Jack root porn. A bit like a hockey puck or roots in my version of aero, not the 5 foot root runners like I have seen before that end up clogging the emitters.

Once fully loaded with fresh clones, I expect this space to produce a healthy yield. This first run was a validation of the system and it seems to be working a treat. I still am a fan of my Coco recirc drip, and might make a full run with it. The jury is still out.

I've just purchased a growbright Hid/MH and it was a steal at 200 bulb and all. Just trying to read up on what I can expect harvest-wise with this wattage in hydro?
I'm growing in a closet so I have a lil room to work with. I'll be growing dwc maybe 18-24 gallons rubbermaid tubs with at least 6 plants in each tub and I think I have space for 3 of those to fit. Would 18 plants be too much for the footprint of the lite?

i'm: A 600 is good for a 5ftx5ft space and better when used in a 4ftx4ft space. If you can fit your 18 plants in a space that size, then they will be fine. Reflectors can change the shape of the throw of the light, but can't help much to increase intensity at the fringe of the footprint. As for Harvest, it's easy. If you can hit 1 gram per watt of light, you are doing very well. So 600w divided by 28grams= about 21 ounces. Good luck, if you are just starting growing, to hit 1 gr dried flower per watt. It takes knowing your strain well, a good strain that can do it, and a little luck.

A few updates on my grow. All is doing well, the Aero system I built is proven to work. This first run was to test the system, trimming practices, and length of veg time to get the desired results. I will finish this grow out and then reload it with clones. I still have not decided if I am going to stay with the Aero system. I have worked out the details for a new style of Coco drip system with bio-culture elements that should produce ridiculous results.

For now, here are some pics.

Thx Admiral i'm trying to get it right I do understand the fact that knowing your strain will let you know what it can produce. I'm still trying to get it all together for some success. I need some good genetics.
