lowering the light wouldnt hurt either.
once that big they can handle being @ least 6"-1' away from bulb...
they stretch more w/ 18/6.
24/7-20/4 will produce tighter internodes & less elongation between nodes...ie, they stretch @ night (dark cycle/reaction).
no need for them to stretch twice; since they will be doing that during initial 2 weeks of flowering, when night really becomes longer.
can easily test this by turning lights to 19/5-18/6 from 20/4. they will stretch noticeably in 1 day...
however, this 18/6 stretch can be used to replace pruning, by making longer stems w/ 1-2 terminal flowers @ the top. less nodes to prune & makes the stems stretch out from the main stem.
can then turn back to 20-4+ to make those tops alternate nodes per square inch... ideally want zig-zag'ing nodes in close proximation, not 2+ inches apart. lights & temps greatly influence this.
that 15k btu ac should be fine! especially since air cooled.
also, turning on that mh for the middle is+... they like constant blue-dom light. also makes for wider, stouter & less stretchy plants...
enjoy your garden!
