Also for much much less heat output move the driver outside of the box.. that kicks out as much heat as the light..

That is true, I don’t understand why hlg does not remote the power supply like common hps units. However I have moved into a new place where there is a basement. Lights on is getting me about 71f so no problems with heat this run.

Looking good

Looking good

Nice grow started. The makings of a nice canopy.
You should consider placing the driver outside the tent. Will reduce alot of heat. May need to lengthen wires, but easily doable.
Pic of my driver panel.
Just a thought.

Stay safe!!!
Success w/ya grow!!! :canabis:

Nice chunky ladies. Looks like you're getting a bit of an immobile nute def from the looks of those tops..

Whats your environment?

Like temps and humidity (vpd) through the day and night?

care to school me? I was having troubles earlier in the grow but things are looking much better now that I have upped the cal/mag. they have been giving 2 teaspoons of maxi bloom, 4 teaspoons of cal/mag and two teaspoons of alaska kelp per gallon. soil is 50/50 coir and bagged cow manure.

Yeah well calcium is an immobile nute so it could have been that.. immobile deficiencies show up on new growth, mobile on old, as the plant can mobilise it from old to new growth should transpiration slow considerably enough. Like nitrogen deficiencies show on old growth because the plant can steal it for the new growth.

if your pH has been too high it could be the immobile nutes from the other end of the pH nute spectrum possibly zinc or iron.

Also if the vpd is out of healthy range then transpiration can fall and youll see immobile nute def from that as you need good consistent transpiration to keep pulling them up the plant or youll see tops quickly run out.

I would have thought from a 50/50 coir mix its probably calcium deficiency because ganja likes it to be the predominate cation and coco is cal mag hungry, but you'd need to know the current pH of your medium to be sure..

Another thing might be your water source.

Just food for thought, i have very little info on what might be the cause in your case but you probably did the rigjt thing.

I'll be interesting to see how this finishes up. I continued tucking into the net a lot longer on this run. all the buds are about 4-6" off the screen. Last time I filled the screen and let them go at the flip and ended up about 12-14" off the screen. Much better penetration on this round.

Well, I whipped up a quick and dirty vegg light this morning. Two vanity light fixtures from the local used building supply store and 4x 3000k 10.5w and 4x 5000k 9.5w led screw in bulbs. Cost was under $50.00.

I’d like to get two atreum 188 boards on a 120w driver but I spent all my fun moneys for a bit. This new fixture replaces a 120 black star blurple. I’m interested in seeing the difference.

I have some ******’s Herijuana getting ready for my next scrog run in my new 2x4 tent. Also have a mighty freeze that autoflowered under 24hr. I was hoping for a male to do some dusting but that’s the way she goes.

New flowering tent will have my hlg 260 v1 as well as a new atreum 288 v2. Pretty excited for a larger tent. Waiting on my new 6” carbon filter, and 6” fan to arrive. The current 2x3 tent will be a vegg tent once I finish up this triangle kush x Iraq.

Edit* wow Icmag hates s a n n i e s apparently, heh

Built a screen for the new 2x4 tent. Starting to work on the heri scrog while the other tent finishes up.

Assembled the atreum 288 kit today

Also finally borrowed a kill a wat and measured a few of my lights. Was an eye opener:

Hlg 260 kit with the driver on full power- 295w

288 atreum with the driver cranked- 161w

240 Black star blurple- 108w

That 260 kit reading really makes my gpw not so earth shattering from last run lol. Full disclosure I guess!

So I guess the upshot is the heri is going to be flowered under about 380-400w with the ability to crank it up to 456w or 57w per sq ft.

I was also looking for LED light recently. I need to find a cheap one because of low budget.
I heard a lot of nice things about MarsHydro light. Anyone has the experience with their light?

Don't bother with mars or any led light that looks purple. They basically have nothing going for them over hps. As you can see from my kill a way readings the backstar old purple led light I have was advertised as 240w but only draws 108w from the wall. lots of led companies are really full of shit as to what the lights actually do. If you get a purple led you need 50w per square foot.

I would only recommend getting led lights from a handful of companies, and yes you will pay more than comparable hps or cmh lights.

What you want is about 30-40w per square foot of growing area with cobs or quantum boards. Have a look at the links below:
Cobs-
https://www.rapidled.com/horticulture-kits/
https://timbergrowlights.com

Quantum boards-
https://growerslights.com/collections/horticulture-lighting-group-quantum-board-led-kits
https://atreumlighting.com

The light I pictured above was the following:
Board and heatsink 74.99
https://atreumlighting.com/collecti...full-spectrum-grow-light-panel-samsung-lm301b
Driver 49.99
https://atreumlighting.com/collections/led-drivers/products/meanwell-hlg-120h-54-led-driver-120w
Connector kit 14.00
https://atreumlighting.com/collecti...-power-cord-wago-lever-nut-junction-connector

so that is currently about $139 plus a bit of shipping. Also need a bit of 18g solid core wire and something like garden wire to make a hanger. Only took about ten minutes to assemble. Compare that to the HlG kit for 187.49 or for another 25 they will pre assemble it for you for a plug and play situation. https://growerslights.com/collectio...t-quantum-board-led-kit?variant=8194288910437

Atreum also is an eBay seller with a "make an offer" option. I have seen people offer 69.99 with free shipping for the heatsink 288 board combo with success, so you could try that to save a few bucks. Also you can shop around and perhaps find a cheaper deal on the driver.

If you think you can handle slightly more diy have a look at the strip light builds here for some real savings: https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/

well thats my rap on led choices, hope thats helpful.

edit* for smaller spaces on a real budget screw in led bulbs will outgrow something like a mars. Head over to the micro grow section and folks will school you on those.
