My Coco Quest: Coco Hempy 4x4

D

dribbled

I haven't flowered with these nutes yet but so far it's proving to be VERY SOLID. Even easier to use than the good old GH h3ad 6/9 recipe. Guess I'm not surprised considering all the sweet pictures I've seen with great looking flowers.

That's great information to know! Thanks! Looking awesome!

Sweet. Glad to have provided a resource!

Alright finally got my tent up to spec! Currently running a 600w digilux MH for veg. The plants are doing well. Got some new additions to the garden. Chocolate Hashberry! Should be solid as these clones came from a well respected nursery unlike the last ones.

Pure Afghan's are chugging along. The one that naturally split itself into two tops is still looking great. One of the 3 phenos is sensitive to nutrients. Only getting 1.0EC and it's showing over fert signs so it's going back on the young seedling diet. So far I only like the double split. They haven't shown sex yet so we'll see.

Deep Purple seedlings are adapting well to the new coco. Gonna up their feed soon as they'll probably start getting hungry quite soon.

Deadhead OG is doing phenomenal. Pretty much picture perfect and it's a female!

Chocolate Hashberry's just got transplanted into fresh coco yesterday. They have perked up so things are looking good.

Temps are nice and steady now. It just rained earlier so RH is up. Sittin at 76F with 51% humidity. The plants seemed to have adapted to the 600w MH nicely.

Deep Purple(feminized)(just got a stronger feed at .8EC)

Pure Afghan(no sex yet)(finally the sensitive one seems to be pulling away from its problems after I gave it a flush and a few feedings diluted to .2EC lower than the rest of the pack. Showing less leave curl and more perk)

Deadhead OG(confirmed female)(heavy drinker. Gets feed about 2-3x a day at .8EC and probably could take more. I want to transplant her, but I'd like to find the 4 strongest to complete my 4 plant 2gal run so I'm keeping her in the solo to kind of slow the progress)

Chocolate Hashberry(female clones)(They are just cruising adjusting to the transplant. I saw a few roots pop out the bottom of most of the cups so they should start gaining momentum soon.)

2 out of the 3 Pure Afghans are male so they gotta go but here's some root porn! 1 is female so that's sweet.

Too bad one of the males was the seedling that grew two tops by itself :(

Finally got the nutrition dialed in for this HID lighting! It's been so long I forgot the plants needs are much higher compared to being under t5's. I started to see some yellowing especially in the Deep Purple seedlings who haven't accumulated any nutrients to a respectable extent but now they are doing much better. I forgot to add that I have recently introduced +Life into my Veg+Bloom run last week. It's a microbial inoculant with good strength(5.5g per 10gal). So far so good.

.8EC was not cutting it so I went to 1.2EC and I think that might be the ticket for now as everything is looking pretty good and gaining some speed.

These two(Pure Afghan and Deadhead OG) perk up perfectly during the day cycle but at night they tend to droop pretty hard. I'm wondering if it's the strains or maybe because they are rootbound at this point. They get fed about 3x a day. I think they really want some more coco. It's amazing to see how far they've come in the short time under HID light compared to my t5's. As you can tell it's been a while since I've grown so I'm still easing back in to everything, but so far things are going fine.

These Hashberry's are looking good. Definitely starting to take off at this point.

1.2 EC of V&B is a little hot for plants that size . & your already showing burnt tips . I very rarely go above 1.0 in veg & i max out at 1.4 in flower .

just sayin :tiphat:

That's what I was thinking too but they were starting to yellow at .8EC after I put them under the MH for some reason so I thought I'd up the feed. I suppose I'll take it down to 1.0EC for now and see what happens. Better safe than sorry right.

They sure do hahaha! Already bumped my rez down earlier. Luckily they only got one small feed at 1.2 so I think if I'll be ok running at 1.0 and just giving them a little extra to wash out the excess.

Thank for chiming in as always!

yeah it would . but no higher than .3 , especially with V&B nutes ! its a 1 part & has alot of N in the mix & you don't want that while flushing .
i use a 55 gallon barrel as a rez , & when it gets down to the last gallon or so i refill it with RO water & just check the PH . all the nutes do in the last 2 weeks is act as a buffer to keep the PH in range . & really once the plants have depleted the nutes in the coco , they start feeding off themselves & the fans go yellow & start dying off ....... then the PH isn't needed anymore & plain RO water is fine . theres no nutrients for the plant to uptake anymore so the PH doesn't matter .

Thanks for clearing this up for me DB.

Tagging along Justice.

Right on Bobbo!

This little deadhead OG is doing pretty good in her solo cup after the light turned on. A little over fed, but she'll be brought back into shape soon enough. Still learning the right levels of V+B but so far I am definitely liking it.

Not sure how to edit my posts, so I apologise for the double post.

I may have missed it, but was that a clone/cutting or from seed? Thanks

Thank you! That DeadHead OG is from seed. No prob on the double post. For future reference you can edit your posts by looking at the bottom right of your post while signed on. There should be an edit button to the left of the quick reply and quote buttons.

Yeah, that Deadhead is definitely the nicest looking one you've got running. Definitely a keeper if it flowers out well.

The DeadHead does have a really nice structure to it. Good branching as well. I definitely like the characteristics it's showing so far, and it has also held up well to abuse.

Big ups to Dansbuds for helping me work out my veg EC levels with veg+bloom. If I would have kept going the route I was on I would have probably been screwed:laughing:. Less is more, and I can see that my plants are responding well.

This DeadHead OG is doing some serious reinforcement on the nodes. Looks pretty cool.

She's looking good. Still a touch overfed from when I blasted her with 1.2EC but I think she'll be able to hang.
