Pretty exited to try out Kali China. This is the seed flowering in the greenhouse. Should have vegged it more but I was making room for other strains. Probably will get a stool for it so it can be closer to the supplemental lighting.

Hi guys!

Here is my first Kali China fem, I had to fim her because she's under the T5s with very limited space. Looking happy so far.

I also have a question, although unrelated to KC. It's a little embarrassing actually haha.

A few evenings ago I was drunk, and decided it was the best time to sow my next batch of seeds. I filled 5 cups with soil. 1 orient express, 1 tikal, 1 Nepal jam, 1 kali china and 1 congo. Somehow when I was done the orient express cup still had a hole with no seed in it XD. I am 99% certain that the tikal and orient express seeds are both in the tikal cup. Only 1 seed has come out from this cup. So most probably the other one did not germinate.

So I have this little seedling which could be orient express or tikal. I assume it should be pretty easy to tell which one it is in a few weeks from now. Is that so?:dancer:

Hi Magoluci,

Glad to see you are giving Kali China a try :)
Should be quite easy to differentiate Tikal and Orient Express once your new plants are more developed.

Cool, that's what I thought. I will get back to you in a few weeks then :)

Does anyone have advice for femming a dense strain like kali china? Specifically, I femmed a kali china x gdp hybrid to backross to the kali china I have left, but the male flowers are so dense I have to pick apart the bud to get flowers that are ripe. When they're ripe they don't open because of how sticky the resin is.

It's a bit tedious and very unlike dealing with more sativa males with hanging balls. Is this just how it is femming a dense female, or did I mess up my CS application?!

Hi nldfarmer,

Never had any problem on reversing Kali China, at least with our KC parental plants,
but each plant is unique and sometimes some plants from a specific line don't reverse well for some reason, usually after the line is inbred.

I don't have much experience with CS reversion, we always use STS with great success,
so in case you are having problems i will recommend you to try with STS next time. Good luck!
