Multibillionaire George Soros Backs Prop 19

What I found interesting about Soros was that he does not use MJ now, but has tried it in the past.

His primary motivation for legalizing MJ is because of the irreversible harm a drug conviction can be for your permanent record.

Bro, that is simply not true--
First, it says NOTHING about growing with children around-- As a matter of fact, I have had CPS at my house because of weed...and after seeing my Rec, and looking at my garden (Outdoors)...they were fine with it-- I know 19 is not 215, but that is the attitude of CPS on Cultivation...they don't see it as a danger--
As far as smoking...19 says that you cannot smoke in the same "Space"...not "Dwelling-- Once you shut your bedroom door...they are not in the same "Space"-- When CPS was at my house...that was the only thing they were concerned about...was if I was smoking, while my child was in the room--
It frees you to have a legal ounce, IN PUBLIC!! You can keep everything you grow, in your house tho--
Very weak arguments bro....

If it passes we'll see what is true. You are speaking of a an experience with the laws being what they are now. 19 will change that.

...Democrats will take all your damn money in taxes.... But republicans wont legalize the devil weed? I have kind have this idea in my head that they are all garbage, what the hell is the difference?

We can't elect people whos agendas are clearly anti-pot, but we have to tell the people we do elect to get off their asses and do something about it.

The way I see it, we have been electing people that have been doing something about it.

The simple fact that prop 19 exists, whether it passes or not, is a huge victory for stoners everywhere.

I totally agree. :)

If he's putting big money into it you can bet he's already invested in a company benefiting him if 19 passes in 2 days. That's cool tho. We'll see if it pays off for him on Tuesday.

Having lived on both coasts growing up I feel it's important to understand the influence California has on the rest of the United States.

What happens in Cali spreads East. In my life I have grown to see the normal time line to be 5 years. What I'm saying is what I have always said,California needs this to pass. It's broke has got bills to pay and the idea of raising taxes to get a few penny's from peoples unemployment checks simply would not be enough to cover the costs of a ski trip to Aspen for the good Governor.

When this passes I say with in 5 years you will see the normal sway of the Cali Trend. On the east we also need to ponder the FACT that Kentucky is the 1/3 largest tobacco producing state and estimated numbers on MJ triple those numbers so YES the dollars are there. A few years back a man even ran for State Governor on the platform of legalizing MJ telling the Federal Government to keep there pocket change in state funds and PROVED they would be the richest state in the US in under 3 years.

It's coming folks it's coming fast. For you experienced folks (my word for old)think of what you might have seen as commonplace in Cali that was by far and large taboo on the east and years later it somehow someway became to cool thing because thats the way they do it out west?.

Is it true that you guys will be charged so much per sq. foot to grow your own depending on how much your county charges?

What nonsense!
What company might that be?
Oh, that's right, there is none!
He doesn't need the money, and I believe his motivation is honest. He doesn't want to see people locked up for using a plant.
Neither do most of us.

Dude. Chill out. If you can take the blinders off an look into Soros's past, he really doesn't do anything that does not benefit him in some way when he puts big money up.
Damn guy, wasn't trying to be a smart ass or anything.
I agree with your last comment-"Neither do most of us. "
If you believe I think different than you on that point you can suck up my e-ass.

Thanks for the info. Wondered how that was gonna work out.

There are a couple of Cites that are going to try a "Per Sq Ft" Tax on Medical Gardens...but doubtful that Proposal will pass, and no way it will hold up in Court-- But that is for MMJ....nothing to do with 19--:tiphat:

So you can see inside his head and you know his motivation better than he does and we should not be grateful to him for trying to help us because, really, his motivation is only for his own personal profit. A conspiracy of sorts, which only you are privy to. It couldn't possibly be because he thinks it's the right thing to do, just as many of us think. By the way, that's not big money for him. He's a billionaire.

Dude you read to much into things. If you want to argue you're jumping on the wrong member cause it ain't gonna happen. Soros ain't all roses and jello shots. Can't see inside his head any more than you can, but you seem to know more about his pure humanitarian motives than anyone else, so what's the inside scoop? Maybe he just needed another million dollar write off on his taxes cause he brought some more of his off shore account money into the US and needed the deduction?

Although this is a mj forum, I cannot let pass the fact that soros is NOT the benevolent person portrayed herein. he is a meddling socialist (except for himself) that is using his money to corrupt the American election system. Advocating for more taxes from you and me while accepting obama money for drilling offshore in brazil (in one of his holdings).

In other words, to make it simple for those of ou who ONLY live in a mj bubble haze, he is a piece of shit who is trying his best to corrupt our political process. Do some homework, read about him.

As far as his pro mj fundings, I could give a shit that one out of 10 things he does with his tax free money is positive. He is a thug cocksucker.
