Here are some pics that I took a couple days ago. The first 5 pics are of my fist successful clone! YEAH, I'm excited!!! I have about 5 different methods going as experiments. I found these roots coming out of one of my cuts 1 week after cutting. If you look at the pic of the cup with 3 clones, it's the tall cut that rooted. A second one rooted the next day. Pics 6,7,8,9 are of my 1st grow which the cuts came off 1 of these. The last pic is of the 3 that I have going for my 2nd round (Nirvana Ice, Wonder Woman & Super Skunk). They'll go under the 1000W HPS when these are done flowering
Here's the method I used for cloning.
I put 3 cuts into 3 rapid rooters, put those into 1 solo cup filled with sphagnum moss. I kept the moss wet which in turn keeps the rapid rooter moist. That way I didn't have to worry much about it drying out on me to easily. I put it into my veg bin which has a couple of T5 florescents, some CFL's and 1 standard LED bulb that goes into a regular screw bulb socket. They're on an 18/6 light cycle. Oh and BTW, my plants have been doing great in this bin.
I had a bag of sphagnum moss at my house for my geckos. The last time I changed it out, I was thinking it may be a useful medium for cloning, so I looked into it. I found some people that have been successful using sphagnum moss but most of the setups I found were more elaborate and would have taken some time to build something with bins, water pumps and heaters. I found this to be quick and easy so wanted to pay it forward. I'll keep you all posted on success rate (%'s) as I go. I hope somebody else finds this to be helpful and useful!
