I had a question about the secret jardin tents that seems like it should be obvious but I can't seem to find an answer.

Hows does light trapping the intakes work? Do the light proof flaps on the side actually work or do you have to rig up some kind of ducting w/ a bend in it through one of the bottom duct holes?
