Has anyone else heard this ? I saw an article about the five top states that will most likely legalize marijuana and California was one of them for 2016. Not surprised

What do you guys think about this ? is that going to make things better or worse in cali ? do you guys like how it is now ?

Yes probably going to happen. Will not change anything here (my house). Will still grow and smoke my own and occasionally smoke some tasty fire a buddy might have.

Its all going to change...too much money for people to not try to monopolize..first we will win some battles..be able to do our thing..soon after(relatively speaking) they will attempt to make home growing illegal again...everywhere..corporations and politicians be damned...I will grow my own til I die..

As advice for your activist types, learn from Washington's mistakes. Keep the focus on medical patients rights, and recreational users right to homegrow. Otherwise they will treat it just like tobacco and hard liquor.
What does it cost to grow a pack of cigarettes, less than $1? I know a $25 bottle of booze costs $5 or less to make. All the cost is sin tax. And if you're a homegrower you will be competing for their profit and law enforcement will continue to target you. Or start targeting you all over again if you're a medical patient supplying your own medicine.

Thats exactly what I was gonna say.... theyre gonna do us like tobacco or worse.
Old rules are still good rules, keep your mouth shut an your grow to yourself still tje safest plan for the smart grower.
The best most powerful vote you have is with your dollar. Be mindful of who you support. Dont support companies who support crooked politicians or invest heavily in political groups
Problem is most people r so short sighted an only focused on their temporary satisfaction. Im just as guilty as anyone on that one.
Money money money... the root of all evil.
Capitolism is gonna kill the earth... no joke.

I believe growing tobacco for personal use is legal and unregulated in the US. I can still my own hooch at home all I want, if I am smart about it. I can grow all the ganja I need, if I am smart about it. So why not legalize in California? How is big business going to fuck with my private enterprise? The only people I see whine about this issue are those trying to profit from it.

I think it will pass. +2016 being a p-Resident election year, usually means more voters.

About damn time for it to be re-legalized.

Well you cant legally make your own hooch... you ca REDESTILL but thats not what your sayin. Thats for tax reasons your hooch cant be taxed so you cant make it....
I dont want my smoke to go the same way.
Just wait till big buisness gets a ho,d of it an starts pushin it.
Its gonna be a problem it has never been.
There nothin wrong with it being strait legal I want it to be legal.
Big buisiness will do it like everything else they do drive usage thru mass advertisment.
Like the cigarette companies do but they will be much more successful with pot I think.
Then you get the big boys who will start copyright genetics.
They will control your consumption and you will be smokin what they wanna grow an have you smoke.
I know you will probably say the market will make them make good stuff but thats not true. We all smoked bricked mex for years an couldnt get enough.
They will be much like a cartel in fact putting out their crap and coming down hard on anyone who does it better small guy or not cause thats a profit loss.
Except they wont use guns they will use the politicians they buy with the big bucks you CANT compete with
They will use the police to bust small growers and have their politicians legislate laws that protect tbem and screw you....
So sometimes its not as simple as just wantimg to make a buck. Do I provide my medicine to legal dispensaries. Yup. And im real proud of my product take a lot of time to do it right and provide the best I can its a pride thing... like we used to have thriving small buisnesses that turned out superior products now we have walmart and cheap chinese crap an not much else to choose from.
I do it cause I love it either way, id will grow my own till I dont need it an as my knees arent gettin younger, hmmm probably not gonna happen.
They say you gotta take the good with the bad. I just wish legalization didnt mean we had to get in bed with big buisness I think it will create a bunch of problems.
What happens when they start advertising and pushing pot like cigs or alcohol? That one concerns me personally.
I think it should be legal from a moral standpoint.
They want it to be legal for FISCAL reasons.
You could say we want the same thing but not really, id say we want two entirely different things.

I don't know how I feel about legalization. I mean it could be good, but what about the people who use it medicinally, ya know? Turn the tables around, would a doctor prescribe you booze for an aliment? No. If it's legalized recreationally, the medicinal aspect goes out the window. Depending on what kind of category marijuana is placed, possibly in the herbal healing isle at walmart? On the other hand, if it's regulated like colorado for recreation, it is also prescribed for patients and is much cheaper. It's a weird situation. FUCK prohibition, it's ruined the image of what marijuana is. I'd just like it rescheduled so the federal government can leave people alone, recreational or medicinal.

I got to a dr pay 75 bucks and grow 18 plants for my self. What do I need to vote to change.
I am happy the people of ca are smart enough to see this.

Man is the root of all evil.

Ever see a lion devour an antelope? A pack of wolves fight over a piece deer flesh? A killer whale toss a seal in the air?

The root of all evil goes deeper then the man himself.

It's not ours to control. Yet.

Statements like these can be argued left and right.

If humans wouldnt be making certain species extinct then guess what wolves wouldnt have to fight over a piece of deer flesh because hey theres 50 more pieces out there.

Nature is nature and theres a difference between evil and animals eating.

We eat cows/chickens etc but that isnt the evil part of it. Whats evil is how we treat them. Locked up in cages being fed corn and shit. no dude come on thats really fucking brutal/evil. It isntthe act of eating its the way we eat. It should all happen NATURALLY because thats nature like it did back in the day.

See my point ? I totally agree the world is so fucked it would be hard for a single human to turn it around and its out of our control at the moment.

KEEP CALIFORNIA HOW IT IS !!!!

Legalizing it is a big no no. Until the day its federally legal then Im just fine with how things are :D

I wouldnt mind if we stayed like this like someone said before I think changing it would essentially remove the "medicinal side" in a way
