My very first grow stealth cab

Hello everyone, I'm here to present my very first grow and will update as things progress.

I began reading here about 6 months ago and started to plan some things for a small scale grow to accomodate my personal needs.
The thing that got my eye back then was all the cool micro builds. They seemed so effective and stealthy and didn't look to hard to build.

So finally, this month I bought some equipment which I will list further down for those interested.

The cab is not done yet, the carbon filter is not hooked up, I dont have any fans for ciculation, light leaks and the damned door doesn't close. Hopefully all will be fixed in the next week or so. Issues I have been dealing with are cramped space, little time and my own shortcomings in terms of buildig it. It's one the whole quite ghetto if you ask me, still I'm somewhat proud of it.

Four Osram dulux 55w compact floursescent bulbs (plls) 2700k, 3000k, 4100k, 6500k driven by two phillips hf-performer 255.
Can filter 100mm/300
Scythe ultra kaze 2000rpm fan for exhaust.
Some diamond mylar
Materials for the cab.
A pack of dreamtime from Mr. Nice seeds.

Dimensionons of the cab are 97x71x40 (HxWxD in cm)
Made out of an old drawer and some plywood.

This is the first day under the pll's. Before they have been under a 9w Led bulb which was the only one I had.

I want to thank all the amazing people here at Icmag for all the information that has helped and inspired to to finally start my first grow. Hopefully this might help someone else, or sr least provide some enjoyment.

Some more pics. Having serious heat issue right now. Have to have the cab open with a large fan blowing inside. Still temperature is 28 celcius and humidity 45%.
My outlet fan is to weak I might have to buy an inline fan.

Nice setup. Lots of air flow is key in micro grows.

Are the seeds fem?

Hello and thanks! No they are regular. Have taken some cuttings in rockwool am going to sex them or wait for preflowrs.
I will get an inline fan as soon as possible and put some computer fans in for circulation. Right now the table fan does the job well but as ita outside blowing into the open cab it can only really be used in veg.

Worst problem at the moment is lack of time. Just started my education about a month and a half ago and it takes most of my time and energy.

Anyway here are some pics, tried to super crop oneand it seemed to work, but maybe I did it in the wrong place. One shows an alarming sign that is happening to some of the planta. I think it's root aphids. Cleaned the place out today and transplanted the big ones. Didn't see any in the soil but i have seen fliers. Will update with more pics tomorrow.

Some more pics. Transplanted the big ones into 3 liter air-pots and cleaned the place out while I was at it.
I'm not sure how old they are but I haven't seen any preflowers yet. Plant health seem to be generally better. Clones haven't rooted yet, but only been 3 days.
The cat used to chew on the plants at first but now she guards them and catches some of the fliers.

Ok, time for some updates!
Been having trouble with dying leaves which really had me worried but it seems like it has stopped. Posted in infirmary but no response.
Anyway have a bottle of cal-mag to supplement my very soft tap water with, a simple pH test kit, a simple cloner box and some other miscellaneous things for the cab.

I'm going to start feeding with half-steenght nutes because I think they didn't like full strenght. Did a flush yesterday and since they all seem happier.

Oh, and one of the three oldest plants showed up to be a female!:whee::laughing: Another is probably male but not sure yet, and the third doesn't show yet.
Took cuttings from all and marked them today.

Only one picture now, but will take more tomorrow.

Looking good, once you get that airflow worked out it should be great in there. Did I overlook it? What are the strains/genetics in there?

Hi, it's a pack of Dreamtime from. Mr. Nice Seeds, a mix pack. https://mrnice.nl/dhtml/strains.php?id=19

Yes. I feel good bout this, it seems I can sort out most problems before they get out of hand, mostly thanks to all the information in this forum. And thanks for the inspiration 2000pm!

Thanks Mydaddy!

Great Looking Cab, Hestah Plant's Look Great...

Thanks PinkFan!
Sorry for the slow updates, schools' being stressful and some family business going on.

Anyway, another one turned out to be female. She smells wonderful, like fruity mango or citrus candy, with just a hint of grass. Showing pretty pistils on several locations.

The only reason I don't put them into flower is because I want some smaller ones to get a bit bigger so I can transplant and I dont have a vegging box. Will probably make one hopefully before this month ends with some cfls.

Also did some late LST but maybe doesn't show that well in pics.

Damnit! I have spider mites, seems like a small population though. Will try to spray leaves with chili and garlic mixed water every third day to see if it helps.

Damnit, spider mites confirmed. Plants produce new leaves faster then the mites destroy them at least but damn. Have a chili-garlic conciction going on, going to spray them all thouroughly tomorrow and clean the place out.
Any other tips would be highly welcomed.

Finally got inline fan and carbon filter installed! The fan is amazing, getting temps down to 21° with cab closed. Not too much noise either.

Two clones have rooted but some yellow leaves. Should I remove those yellow ones or let them be?

Also made the lampboard smaller to allow more air upwards to blow out. Cleaned everything out, inside and outside cab. Put chains to hold lamp board, and put a pc-fan blowing on the bases od the lamps. Only had one so this had to do.

Made a batch of organic pesticide with chili, garlic, onion and hot water, mixed it and let it set. Will spray them tomorrow. Damn mites are keeping the plants from getting bigger, at least thats what I suspect.

Some pics, last two of a damage leaf similar to many others. Always begins on lower leaves, especially fan leaves.

What are you feeding them and how often?

That looks more like damage from nute lockout (pH problems) than it does from insects.

I feed them with GHE nutes with Lucas formula for flourescent lights ( 5ml micro, 10 ml bloom/gallon) once a week with 5ml calmag per liter since my tap water is extremely soft. And a couple of drops of superthrive.

pH is 5.7-5.9. I havent tested runoff-pH yet though! Will do next feeding.

I also flush them once a week with plain water.
Took these off today, about 75% of all larger fan leaves :(.
Could it be nute burn?
