The power of coco multifeed

i do treat coco like soil and i have had success hand watering once a day or once every two days depending on pot size. of course i ph and monitor EC levels.

why not just hand water twice per day until this crop is finished?

My pots are 6.5L, ive got ph meter and been correcting the ph levels.
Dont have a EC meter and to be honest dont know much about it.. (Knowledge is the key) i know i know...

kinda think i made a cruical error in the beg, which was to repot to early. (6.5L)

Once i had done that, the growth stunted and the ladies suddenly lost color and just looked so weak. Since i repotted to early they just couldnt drink up all that water and they took way to long to dry up. maybe a nut lockout?

Out of the 5 ladies 2 of them are decent in growth and size, but the other 3 really took a hit when repotted..
I would love to hit them with a nut bomb so they could grab a chance to maybe regain some power and nutrions..

But like i said earlier, got no EC meter and dont have any knowledge in that area.
Therefore i havent had the balls to hit the ladies with a big dose.
ive got the gold labels coco pack. Coco A/B MG/ and so on..
Also ive followed their feed schedule for coco..

Do i dare to step it up? Dont wanna burn them.

Sry for stealin the thread, but im kinda of askin about multifeed :p

dont hit them with a "big dose" if you think they need more food, slowly increase your feed strength and check for signs of nute burn ie tips of the leaves burning

I wont...

In the beg i was handsprayin them with water, it was workin fine but took forever.

But when i repotted this wasnt an option anymore.
Then i started to pour the water in the bucket untill i got some runoff and then just let them soak it in for a day, or until they got dry(light) again.

Question now is;
If i was to instead of givin them the hole amont of water at once,
divide it by 2 and start with first dose at light on and then second just before lights out.

Would this be similar to multifeed?
And how important is runoff when growin in coco?
Sry for all these questions, but u guys have the knowledge i crave! :p

run off is extremely important, it flushs out the toxic salt build ups and other shit from your coco, this prevents salt build up plus lock outs. when i feed once a day im getting quite a bit of run off 20% to 30%

ye thats all multi feeding is. if your going to water twice i would not water just before lights out do it sooner.

how big are your plants? 6.5L pots are to small for hand watering but ideal for multi feed.

The plants might be almost 3 feet, that bein the biggest one!

But so if i was to water twice instead of one time a day, make sure the second watering has runoff?
As it is right now, the runoff is maybe 5% but they do suck that up again.

Does this maybe counterfeit the advantages of getin rid of the salt buildups?
Since they suck that runoff water up again?

please forgive me, first grow with coco and second grow ever.

its cool man ask as many questions as you need to.

dont let them soak up the run off

every watering should have run off

never just give plain water. if you need to flush always flush with a weaker solution.

get an EC meter so you know where your base line nutes are,

At the moment havent got the money for a EC meter, otherwise i would have bought one. But since im gonna go back to soil once this grow is over still feels like abit of wasted cash if bought.

So, how do i get ride of the runoff? Sure i can lift the plants and hold them over something, but this wont be possible in a months time..

With that said, they have soaked up the runoff since birth..
Maybe i need to flush them propeply and then feed them again?

I simply want them to be healthy!

Put your pots in something (I use a big under bed storage container) and when there's runoff, use a shop vac to suck it out. Definitely don't let them sit in it.

Home Depot sells something called a bucket head, it just clicks onto a bucket and turns any bucket into a shop vac. (I say any bucket, but I mean the orange home Depot buckets)

Those work great and don't take up any extra room. Plus they're only 20 bucks.

I set up my pump system for auto feeding for 60 bucks. I could have done it for 40.

if you could post pictures up that would be very helpful.

i use an empty canna nute bottle and empty my tray by hand. tedious work but im trying to go DTW.

yeah i shall post some pictures later.
Im gonna try to build a frame that can lift up the pots and have something under that can collect all the bad runoff water.
Cant belive ive let my ladies flush n suck it up for a good 7 weeks.

Like i said earlier, my first coco grow ever. Knowedge is the key..

it may not cause any problems sucking the run off back up.

my first ever grow was coco. i nearly killed the seedlings from over watering, then i put the seedling into 15L pots. after a few days i re potted them to 1L pots. the stress they went thru and they turned out to be monsters :)

you can make mistakes and get away with it this time. but doing this with another strain may cause havoc on your grow. things change with each grow.

after 3 years of growing i still feel like a noob.

Here's a shot of how I run off.

You can also see the roots coming out of the bag all the way up the side. There's also salt on the bag, you can see how salty the nutrients we use are :D
