are you sure that you are getting what you pay for?

hello, this goes out to breeders and growers alike,i have a question for you, have you ever thought that maybe you are getting crosses instead of different pheno's it could be stray pollen from the guy's stuff in the next valley,if it is grown outside, or if it is bred inside, unless there is super tight ventilation in the breeding rooms,or the grower goes from the breeding room to the grow who knows, when you spend you money for beans of one strain that has been bred for years and worked on there should not be much if any difference in the seeds, just saying:comfort:

i was thinking about this sort of thing earlier. i recently got a freebie that behaves absolutely nothing like everything i've ever read about it. could be someone mixed up a label for all i know.

yeah, who knows for sure,i'm sure that the breeders try to keep everything pure ,but who knows, but one thing is for sure if you find something that suits your fancy, you can keep it going, clones, line breeding, only working with seeds that you know nothing else got too!,if you only work with one strain at a time, then you know what you have, and can be confident that it is what you say it is

Nature makes mistakes.
You want absolute stablilty, then you'll be in bed for a long time, never to go out and see what you CAN get.
The few phenos that behave completely out of line could be a blessing or a curse.
Great consistency is available but with enviromental variations and instability u could end up with a herm or a shitty plant that you did not sign up for.Or pay for.
You play a part just as much as the breeders.
Cloning ,as above, will net you your most repeatablity.
Information,as in forum use, will net you the most inspiration or strain desirability.
Bullshit from all the above will fuck up your mind, your grow, your time and energy, your money and will have us all chasing our own self destruction.
Good luck with ur grows and keep smiling.or stay in bed.:)

Unexpected and surprising results are interesting, entertaining, sometimes very cool, and fun. Unless you are in it for the money, of course.

even when its what its supposed to be it can suck ass. I got a whole list of strains from known breeders that was crap..so far bog has been the most stable and as advertised...decent prices solid gear...one place I will never purchase again from is dutch passion aka DITCH PASSION...most strains are ditchweed quality lol

Stray pollen is HELL on a medicine growing operation.

And it is nice to have total control of pollen sources when one is making seeds.

ON THE OTHER HAND >>> some of the best strains we pay so much $$ for (those of us who buy beans or cuts) - were the result of random pollinations (e.g. Brothers Grimm Princess and her 2 sisters.)

So, no worries.

If I was in a more urban environment where a grow-op next door or up the street could fvck me up, I'd have a filter on my intake air.

But what size filter would you need to keep pollen out ? Cannabis pollen grains are pretty small.
