That should do the trick without pushing your luck.

The six days were in the low 50,s with a small fan to circulate and a small dehumidifier set low , might not work so well in a warm climate.

Glad to hear..
Ill start it tomorrow and see how it goes...

Temps will be in the 66 - 75
RH 50 - 45

When I harvest I leave the bottom of the bush when I want to make seeds. I drop pollen on decent nugs that are prolly a week or two from harvest and let em sit 3-4 weeks and they still seed fine. Long as a healthy pistil hits a pollen grain it doesnt really matter as long as you are going to nurture it to ripeness.

it seems off topic now but you originally asked about a second window to pollinate.

recently when I was taking cuttings I noticed that the female preflowers have been pollinated and were seeded in veg.

In Veg... That would be a interesting couple seeds...
I have to try and remember this and give it a shot on my next run.

Thanks Lammy...

I been tossing my male into flower 10 days after females.. and leave my male in flower until I see mainly every pistil turn from white to red.. or orange.. usually I leave the male in until week 5 .. and then if the seed production is starting all over the plants ill cut him down after I do a nice shake of him all around the females.. then leave him on a piece of paper in a shoebox. let the remaining flowers open.. dry the pollen and into the fridge it goes with the other seeds.. as a backup just incase I kill the male off. usually keep 1 clone of the male sometimes 2 .. around just incase its a offspring is very special

Reading my mind BG...
Damn.. That's scary....
Word for word, how I wanted my run to go...

Replace shoe box with a tote...lol

I really pulled a boner move and
topped the male just before flipping
due to not training him in Veg...

I have a clone as a back up....

Great recipe for success ya got man...
Spot on goodness...

Thank...

Great incite TG... Pure gold....

a week or two from harvest and let em sit 3-4 weeks and they still seed fine.

Are you saying just break the nug off the branch (At harvest)
and let it sit ?

I'm seeing that last push of white pistils
about 2 -3 weeks
before harvest as the 2nd window...

If all else failed.
One could hit this window and let them ride a couple extra weeks.
Downside being over ripe ladies for smoke... (80 days on a 70 day grow)
Hermie potential ( I think)

But you make me think/wonder

If you just wanted a couple buds full of seed and have the pollen saved.

Hit this 2nd window and when you chop
the garden come 2 -3 weeks later.

Simply chop the branch and place in a cloner or just water
and keep it 12/12 for 2 weeks...

Ill have ta chew on this....

yeah you can sit the chopped branch in water/ light nutes and let the seeds finish ripening. alternatively like i and i'm sure other do, you can just pollinate the lower branches, and when the top is done, chop it and leave the bottom to finish.

Ya i dont do water, I just leave a few branches on the bottom when I harvest then pollinate, 3 weeks more of LIGHT watering maybe 4 and youll have beans. Don water too much you will drown her.

Here is a pic, the little on in the back was done like im sayin and make about 100 seeds or so give or take...

^^^Love that idea Tony.^^^

I'm assuming that due to the root mass, seed development is sped up, no? IDK...
I've never seen seed mature as quickly as 3-4 weeks and if this is the case I might have to adjust my future pollination strategies.

3 weeks youll have alot of ripe and quite a few unripe, 4 weeks and they should be real good.
Granted my only experience is with indicas, makin seed. Could be longer maybe with a sativa not sure. This is a great way to extend your pack! I dont mind 3 weeks cuz even though some are not ripe i get tons to use for me a hundred is alot to have atm.

I do this in conjunction with makin my dads into bonsai plants and keep em flowering, they usually recover good by the time I need em or if they drop pollen earlier i just collectit and save it a few weeks.

With one C99x girl crossed to a dozen very different males , 28 days seems a minimum for mostly good viable seed that will store , if i can i leave it six weeks or till the first start to fall out naturally.

Many of the pale softer immature ones will germinate straight away but not store or fridge very well.

Finishing males or seeded limbs off the plant on a windowcill works suprisingly well for me , some girls root and finish the seed then reveg without issue , tougth plant.

Tony what did you spray that bitch with? Collodial silver? I'm about to whip up a batch of STS pretty soon myself

sorry to dig this back up but can I pollinate some lower buds at week 6 on a 8 to 9 week strain, if I leave the lower buds for a reveg? will they still ripen under a veg lightcycle?

sorry nevermind I should have read more carefully
