Stocking the Plantry: Chucks, Yucks and a Few F*ck-Ups

You should deffinetly have some luck with the ssdd from bodhi, I got a handful of those just started that I'll be adding to my grow log. When I asked bodhi which strain he recommends for a patient of mine with high tolerance and pain issues, he said ssdd is what I'm lookin for. Now if I can just find some buttered blueberry muffin goodness... Fingers crossed

Thanks for the input Stanky. I am still watching your grow btw. Ive seen most folks reporting pain relief with SSDD. Enough to make me think its more than a placebo effect or butt kissing.

Update coming once my connectivity issues are hashed out.

Getting in while the getting ins good. Who gives a shit about picture quality? Well, I, for one, certainly do not... apparently.

MMs - Somewhen around 25 days. 3-5 topmost colas forming on both.

And a whole bunch of secondaries.

V#1 - Nasty pic, but gives an idea of the number of buds. Light falls all the way through this plant.

They'll be on dailies soon. Been feeding 5/8 with floralicious bloom and still seems strong on the N. V is starting to claw now. Gonna try 4/8 with dailies.

Bud sets coming on nicely. Wish too much n was my problem, right now everything I have in veg is yellowing and I'm giving them all 3/6 lucas formula gh flora, with 1 ml rapid start and 3 ml diamond nectar almost every watering. Your buds look like they're pretty happy, +rep

Have you tried running 8/16 without the rs and dn? Youre vegging under a hefty light aren't you? How often are you watering?

Ya, thanks Stanky. They do look pretty good. Im def ahead of the last round.

Tossed out the last StrawD. Fuck that shit. Might even toss the last BS that's in the plantry. That shit can fuck itself too.
Ive got a MM f2, a Rendezvous, a Bodacious and 2 Deep Chunkolates to up pot. I pull that BS and 2 of the others can get loaded in.
Besides, the clone fairy has been kind to me - Ive got too many, again.

I'll try it, I've been switching back and forth between a t5 and a 600w mh, the halide gets too hot but growth seems to halt under the t5, so without a fan I've decided to just pop off the glass and use my sun system like a bat wing. Need to speed things up I'm trying to get some cannatonic #7s ready for a patient with uterine cancer, the doc doesn't know if she's got till Christmas so time is a huge factor. I'll try just bumping up the micro and bloom without additives, thanks for the input amigo. Can't wait to see finished bud shots of the chunkolate, love the dc that I've had the pleasure of sampling, would love to run some tom hill if yield wasn't such a factor for me

Defoliate those fan leaves that cover the lower stuff. I wouldn't hit whole plants in one day, but you won't be able to tell they lost a few fan leaves here and there, but you will be able to see the benefits of the extra light penetration! :D

Daily feeding! OH NO! looks like you joined all of us Coco guys :D

Wait till you see what two feeds per lights on does :bigeye: but Bluemats are in your future!

Pyrex 500ml measuring cup = perfect 2 gallon coco pot watering amount.

the 1000ml or 1Liter measuring cup = perfect for 3 gallon smart pots.

What is the EC of your mix? I've noticed 1.2+ is pointless and 1.0 being ideal but really hard with such a small res, because a 3 gallon recipe of 6/9 in my 5 gallons R/O is 0.9 EC and if I add just Cal/Mag its already 1.0 and then with Silica it goes up another 0.1 while Hygrozyme, SM90, Roots Excell and the PH up/down don't raise the EC. If you are using PPMS lemme know if its by .5 or .7

I would plan for a 2 week minimum flush also to get a real good strong fade and clean flavor.

Sup brother? Who are you asking about the EC? Me or the Stanky one?
If me, I don't know. Pretty sure Im safe with whatever it is. I know someone who tested the tap and that was under 100. So 5/8 (going to 4/8) + 1 ml each of cal/mag, silica and floralicious with 0.5 ml of down - should be all good. Whatcha think?

-------------------------------------

Super killed the last B(ull)S(hit). Replaced with a DChunkolate and Rendezvous. Now stocked up with Vitality, SLH, 2 MM and the 2 above. Gotta do my damnedest to keep the other DChunkolate and MM f2 from outgrowing veg for 5 weeks.
That's a lot of MM :yummy: Wish it was all OD... MM OD is a gorgeous smoke.

I'm goin off of ppms and I'm around ~400 for clones ~600 for veg and ~1000 for three weeks into twelve twelve. I see some improvements but I was being way too conservative on nutes up until a few weeks ago.

I have a bud who consistently underfeeds. It kills his weight. Im pulling 2-4 zips more with my 400 than he does with his 600. But what do I know, right? Im not a grower yet.

Most of my strains are finicky low feeders, deathstar and headband clone onlys, hybrids with some chem genes, I just never pushed the food on em cuz they're so quick to curl, I was being a little too careful, but I think I got it now. Way to make the most I your space and light, I'm using thousands to make up for my lack of experience. I'll be switching to tacked bare bulb vert with 600's in two weeks when some money rolls in , hope making the switch brings the weight

The switch to coco is near in my future, I'm gonna grow soil until I have enough oil for my patient with cancer, once the pressure is off my shoulders, I'll give those blumats a go, I just don't wanna try and learn a new style of growing with so much riding on this harvest. What kind of ppm levels do you recommend for a drip feed? Keep in mind most of my genetics are on the nute sensitive side of things

My SLH is pretty sensitive. Haven't grown her yet without getting N claw.

IMO coco is so much easier than dirt. The basics are just that - basic. Under/over dosing shows up quick and can be dealt with just as fast. Not like waiting a couple or 3 days with dirt. Only part that bites is all the watering if youre doing it by hand.

Im going back and forth... Do I want to go vert or SOG? Either way, Ill need a plan for the runoff. Thinking of building a space-sized tilted tray where I can let it all run to 1 corner and drain into a bucket. That would sure beat moving every plant every day.

LC - You getting any runoff using that 500 ml cup? Is it working across all the strains or do some need more? My V is always ready for the next feeding while SLH is still happy with every other day.

500ml yes in 2 gallons, no in 3 gallons smart pots or 2.5 gallon + plastic containers.

Its variable. You can tell which plants hit the ground running and which landed on their ass.

Usually if they had a good start and are well rooted you'll notice you can increase feeding/amounts you use.

I honestly rarely feed a full 500ml, usually at the 350-400ml range.

Also Coco is hydro so you could feed as much as you want really but thats under prime root conditions.

Dunno man :shucks: I think it would be best for you to make the call regarding watering frequencies.

As for run off, you'll have to determine that by monitoring each plants uptake which it seems u are, and id say its safe to water a full 500ml once a day with your trays catching run off and acting like passive hydro.

With flush I freaking pour 1liter into the containers, Flush that shit outa here!

:smoke out:

I read your MM OD is a delightful smoke! whats so different?

Edit: you know if they need more water you can always fill the cup back up with more :D hahaha I have both the 1 L and .5 L cups so I usually variate but before man, I was using the 500ml twice for the 3 gallon smart pots, and if you remember that SLH in the 5 gallon smart pot, she was getting 3 L a night.

Its all variable man, unfortunately, sorry to rant, fucking ripped ^_^

Got a few decent shots tonight - all with the cell. 70+ cam pics = 70+ recycle bin files. I think its day 30.
