I have a few posts on other people's threads, and have a kind of starter thread to this...but figured i would make 1 that covers everything. This is my first go at coco. I took these babies over from my brother who basically killed them. I owe alot to many people on here. Some truly knowledgable people...some not so much lol. Mad love to you guys all the same! Dont wanna sit here and name everybody but specific thanks to a few...Snowcrash, stoned40years, and that poor bastard coconutz. I hope he reads this somehow lol. You 3 had the most influence on me and it was great chatting with you guys. So here we go...grab your popcorn! Hide yo kids, hide yo wives!

When i received them...

This was done with GH micro and bloom, some silica here and there, and a tad dripclean. Thats it! Simple! I fed around 1.0 - 1.2ec in veg, and never went over 1.4 in flower. 1.4 seemed to be my sweet spot. Fed 2 times a day in veg, then only once a day in flower. 3 gallon pots in flower. 1 gallon in veg.

nice looking ladies GonjaLove :)

do you run silica all the way thru flower ?

Thanks! I run it til stretch is done then cut it. I honestly dont think it did anything for the plant. Could have possibly helped with heat resistance? I dunno. I dont think I will be using it in the future. Just seems like another bottle to buy. Next run I will prolly throw in some rapid start, kelp, and some humics (diamond nectar) but thats about it.

Diamond nectar is 99.999999% water.
Plenty of research on silica has been done.
It should be added at every irrigation not just here and there.

Whats up GONJA !!!

Look forward to some more shows got any plans in the making right now last harvest looked real nice ! 6/9 till We Die.....ok something like that aha

I used to use rapid start drip clean silica with 6/9 but didnt see to much of a difference like you said than 6/9 with a little rhizo early veg.

6/9 is the shit plain and simple.

Looking good Gonja:tiphat: I've also come to the conclusion silica doesn't do jackshit for MJ. It works good for clogging drip lines and as a expensive ph up though:biggrin:

Diamond nectar is not 99.9999 percent water. It has beneficials without a doubt. And I did add silica to every feed...if u can show me research that shows it actually does something then ill believe it. Side by side, not 1 single difference.

Diamond nectar is humic/fulvic, not beneficials. There are about 100 more concentrated alternatives that cost less.
Just research silica powder mildew and I'm sure you find all kinds of research with tissue samples.
It adds a good amount of K and h3ad now aims for a profile with more K, so it should be a good add to your 69 profile.

I do have some plans but theyre on hold for a few months. Im moving in the beginning of December so I won't have anything going til I get to my new place but...I have some 98 bubba seeds, some sfv's, and a bunch sour og's. So yea I plan on doing a lil somethin somethin. In the future I will prolly have 1 or 2 experiments with different nutes for shits and giggles but for now im on the 6/9 train. Choo choo bro!

Thats the biggest problem with growing...the word "heard". Do some experimenting for yourself. Stoned40 has plenty experience with clogged drip lines from drip clean lol

Lol stoney has never done the same thing twice.
I wouldn't have commented if I didn't have experience.

I should have been more specific. With blumats you have 8cm of 3mm hose that sticks out past the carrot. The diaphragm pinches off the 3mm line when the media is saturated. For me this time period of no water/feed going through that 8cm of tube was about 10 hrs during lights off. Water evaporated in it during this time leaving the white sludge residue to build up. Caused one runaway when it busted loose. Pour a tsp of protect on a table and let it evaporate, there is a hell of a lot of silica crystals in a little bit of protekt. I've been using it off and on for a year and don't see any difference in my plants. If you like it use it. I'm going back to MB next month and plan to use it just as a ph up with no blumats. I've read a lot of the scientific papers on how good silica is for plants. So what, it don't do jack for me. You can have my share of it, I won't buy anymore:biggrin:

Lol u ever see the crust drip clean leaves when it dries?
Tap water leaves crap behind when it dries too...
Pretty much anything will clog a blumat line. In fact just dirt or air bubbles in the tube with pure ro will clog them.

Right on.. I've always kept my coco feed simple like yours. I never bothered with the drip clean (I'm cheap that way).

Thanks for sharing the 3 gallon pot info, I have a bunch of 3 gal I bought I thought it was overkill, but looking at what you did, I think I made the right choice.

I Wil prolly use up the bottle of drip clean I have and then not use it anymore either. Its expensive as hell and if you feed with the proper runoff theres really no need. These gh nutes seem pretty damn clean to begin with. As for the pots, I was trying to only water once a day in flower so thats why I went 3 gal. Worked out pretty well I think. Ill post some root pics in a few days. I havent seen them in a couple months so im lookin forward to that :tiphat:
