Crippy - Pre86 OG KUSH

sorry to say, but to me, this story does not make sense...
when I lived in southern Florida in the 90s, and we had visitors from either California or NYC, none of them knew what the heck was Crippy, first time they ever heard of it was when they went down to FL to visit their grandparents...
I knew this guy from Tallahassee (north FL) that went down all the way to Hialeah to get the Crippie, and then would drive all the way up to Atlanta to distribute it at Emory Univ, which was where I met this guy.
So my personal experience does not relate to all these podcast stories...

I think many floridians will dispute your claims. Crippy has been Florida slang for good weed for a very long time. Either way, you have what you have and you claim it's the original og.

they just made a new podcast about this, finally revealing the truth...thankfully we have these podcasts to keep us informed or we'd be fucked, not like we have dam near 15 years of internet forum info to look back on or anything....

yes, in South FL, most stuff that was kind herb a.k.a not Colombian pressed or Jamaican or in rarer occasions Mexican, the generic terms were either Crippie or Kripto (Kriptonite), but there were many batches of a very consistent bud that was always called Crippie, you also could find other kind herb with other names, like Bubblegum, Orange and a few others that were rarer, like Haze.
Yet, no one that came to South FL from other areas of the U.S had heard the term Crippie, so I dunno, this story about Crippie being from Hawaii does not sound solid.
Today every kind-herb you'll find in Colombia and Venezuela, is called Crippy btw, and many of us are unsure of where the name actually originated, whether in Colombia or South FL... in this thread is the very first time I've heard about it coming from Hawaii...

I know this story from the grow houses in Tallahassee to the point of distribution to be 100% true as far as any Crippie I ever smoked.
Yeah Crippy or the crip, da crip is used to describe good weed in Hawaii and Florida but the Crippy is an actually strain. Look into Humboldt Seed Organization they made em dog with B-Real and called it OG Kush x Chem #4 originally but once My story surfaced its know called it OG Kush "The Crippy".
I don't doubt people in Florida have seen the Real Crippy but if you look around the net pre 2013 very few if any posted or even knew it was a strain. I am out in Hawaii and put the world on notice it originated pre86 and I connected the dots of Duck Foot and The Crippy for all the people who care to know. Well respected people in the cannabis community know my cut is the first original cut and I won't waste my breath try to convince anyone. Like I said this thread is about the point of origin and how to tell you got the real deal or not. Believe what you want but when you see the crippy aka pre86 popping up more and more in peoples grow rooms you know they on the Crippy Hype I started and that should tell you they know its the real deal. PS most will be OG cuts simply renamed because just like everyone wants the real cut of cookies even the most seasoned vets want my cut and I am not like Cookie Fam reputable farmers will have my cut so patients in their state can get a taste. It will be in CA, WA, MI being ran right next to Triangle Kush, Triangle so the Floridians are just gonna have to chill for a bit before they can see or try for themselves. But My Cut is the Originaly Crippy and if people don't want to call it Crippy then call it SUPA OG cause it came from me.

I enjoyed the 2 or 3 AdamD webcasts I listened to.
It's great to hear marijuana-friendly news.

I've seen duck-footing frequently emerge with re-gens and late-taken-clones (where it's already flowering and you take a cutting and root her using veg timing).
It sounds like it is native to some (good) strains.
I don't know man... in overgrow, tons of people discussed about Crippie way before 2013, and many from Florida talked about it being an actual cultivar that got so popular, that everyone that had kind-herb to sell would call it Crippie to sell it... much in the same manner that today people will call Kush anything to try to sell it even if it is not Kush or whatever other cultivar that dominates the trend.
maybe you did call a cut Crippie many moons ago while in Hawaii, I don't know, why not? maybe you started it all, who knows...
but the truth is that the whole Crippie subject has been discussed tons in the net for a long time now, and for many of us, it is hard to believe that a name such as Crippie that was mostly used in Florida and no where else (maybe Colombia too) came from Hawaii... I'd be willing to accept that the name came from Colombia and did not originate in FL just because of the amount of stuff coming in from there into FL in the 90s. I never saw any herb from Hawaii while there, so who knows... you can even find many thread about Crippie here in ic way before 2013...
