TGA Genetics- Concerning Potency...

I was actually thinking about throwing in a pack of ace of spades or jillybean in my next order just based on how this jacks cleaner is performing. I rate smell and taste pretty high followed by potency and tric coverage...yield is last for me.

Did you find any of BCS phenos with purple calxes? Colors look crazy from pics I've seen on other grows of it

I got a bcs pheno out of plushberry. Hated it it was like cherry vanilla cough syrup with no buzz. He ruins elites with his pollen chucking, and did you really just bring up cali connection? Bro don't even get me started on that greedy, lying pos swerve. I wouldn't give archive my money, and there are still some decent breeders out there, they just don't have ads in high times

Bodhi and loompa, karma, shanti, Neville, still plenty of people that work strains past one pollination with one male.

SO after skimming this thread I think TGA may save me alot of time and effort.
I'm looking to grow something that has great taste and smell but doesn't have an overwhelming punch. I'd like to be able to enjoy smoking a jay without ending up way too high.

I honestly didn't think any breeders put taste and smell above potency and yield. Maybe there were some small time, local source only breeders but with the market being what it is I just figured all the commercial breeders focused on potency and yield and taste and smell were secondary, if they even cared at all.

So, to me at least, this save me alot of time and effort tracking down landraces or even wild seeds and then doing my own breeding to get something most would consider underwhelming and not keeper worthy lol.

I would agree with you, I would recommend the JC 2 if looking for lemony sativa, also have Chernobyl on deck as well as agent orange. The querkle gets alot of recs but I personally didn't t think it was a keeper but only had 1 female out of a 5 pack due to my own errors in killing seeds and seedlings.

Having a couple of strong males can be the corner stone of a great breeder. Bodhi main males are Snow lotus and Appalachia.

He also uses the temple, Hashplant dom male of the 88 g13 hash plant, and deadly g pheno male, not to mention the bcsc nl5 open pollination, and many more. Using one or two males often is fine but it should be concise and deliberate, snow lotus is the clearer male, appy the more dominant

His Snow Lotus and Appy ARE his corner stone males used on the highest percentage. That being said there not his only males. He also has and extensive landrace line up too.
He is a breeders breeder. No flash and great genetics

Rocking some of his line up at the moment:biggrin:

The fuzz and ssdd goin over here:) I'll say that sub offers some interesting hybrids, I just don't go through flashy advertised seed companies, I find that reading here leads me to some amazing breeders that are humble and hard working, and I wouldn't order anything with an ad in hightimes, tga, cc, ghs, and the like. Better things available for half the price. I'll order some bodhi or motarebel any day before I line the pockets of some corporation seed co that mass produces in some Spanish warehouse grow being subcontracted.

Hey I only know that thanks to you all here on ic. Spread the wealth of information my friends, I wouldn't be doing half as good as I am without these forums

No offence to the Nerds , they most likely dont know better . But truth be Told - Most of Subs genetics used are replacements lol .. The man outsources like an auto manufacturer and you really dont know where the TGA beans are from , Spain most likely now though if your ordering them from overseas .. Shit even the ones here may be made by some guy hired to work such and such . This is a corporation with an agenda to make money not Dank in this quarter of the game . Potency was lost years ago and things like Bat Girl replaced Jacks Cleaner , other cuts were lost as well and replaced with similar phenotypes.

I wont go on and on about this all but anyone in the know will agree too that like with most other breeders , things changed through the years . We all know Simon's story or Adams - both lost original stock and reshaped with remnants but yet are still not the same . Sadly this happens to the best , not saying Sub is or ever was lol ..

TGA is what it is and that is just another bunch of hands in the pot .. I never paid for anything and even grew Subs personal beans but I do not have anything of his except for the original Jacks Cleaner cut and some mixes Kak1963 made with Plush - Black Cherry Dom male

the problem being is.. we can all find great smelling and tasting strains.. its potency that we are striving for..

so when a breeder or so called breeder .. comes out with strains that taste good its like.. anyone can do that.. but.. to take a strain.. and to make it hit on everything . taste/ smell./ potency/ bag appeal/ and growth.. is more difficult.. like in all seriousness TGA would of done great. if he would of worked in some potency and kept workin on his strains before releasing..

and yes.. a lot of breeders.. setup a house with someone else doing the breeding. they supply the females and or males.. and the other person does the rest..

this is also why a lot of fem beans hermi.. because the person actually slingin the pollen.. didn't keep the plants healthy enough. or whatever..

also why we find crazy WIERD phenos.. in strains that shouldn't be there... usually some rogue pollen. or something herms or something or another..

I liked the looks of tGAS work.. but the potency wasn't there..

Overall I don't think TGA is a bad company, however I didn't know they outsource breeding in spain. I knew they had other companies do it in norcal, but I didn't know they did it in spain. Is that definitely true?

TGA's prices are fair. Not saying i'd ever go for TGA but there are worse deals out there. His advertising is annoying and you have to figure new growers are happy with any budding plant regardless of quality, which is subjective to begin with (well not really but most think it is)

TGA used to be cool , but he's always crying when he doesnt win , chatting shit about others doing him over (hightimes) , chatting pure shit about companies using his genetics ie he gave alphacronick certain cuts and told him not to use it , fuck that , he started his whole seed company through old jack cuts(sensi) and brothergrimm to name a few , and that whole MTG thing , the rez thing with mrjill . Most recently he true attitude shows when he lost his boyfriend , fuck subfool and Mr Jill ............ hillbilly fuck , come to amsterdam and will show you what time it is .

I heard Tga mention seed production in Michigan. I think the state laws in Michigan treat seeds like waste so there the most favorable. I think its ok to hire out if you are overseeing and you are putting it in the hands of a truly passionate and talented breeder that has an innovative vision.
But honestly subbing it out over seas is Hack.
