Topsy Turvy Fridge Grow/Clone Box

Thanks Mr Code,
Yea, the PPM fluctuates as the plants drink .
The more they drink, and the evaporation, causes the PPMs to increase.
When the res starts to get low, I add a gallon of PH'd water to dilute.
Someone mentioned to me to check my KH...???
Don't know what that is.
I still think it has something to do with the GrowStone?

Check the thread BigTokes made about water chemistry, I think KH has to do with that. I would lie if I said I know what it is (kh). Other than that, just check oh and ec every day and adjust.

If it fluctuates to much could mean rez too small. Bigger volumes of water swing less as evaporation and plant drinking wont make big changes so fast

That pic was taken with the flash ON to counter the HPS light spectrum.
They are very green and the branches are strong and stiff and the roots seem to have really taken hold of the stone.
I am still using the weights to help LST but have to use more weight.
There are lots of new bud sites forming and even the leaves are very stiff.
I will change the nutes Sat or Sun and then flip to 12/12 !

Thanks.
I think I am getting it… slowly.
The PH swing seems to be settling down a little.
I'll know better after I check it this AM, but something is going right… fingers still crossed.
I started out by putting only 2 gallons of nutes in the res but quickly changed that to 3.
I think I will up that to 5.
Easier to mix in a 5 gallon bucket.

Just the tips of a few leaves are turning yellow.
I am changing the res today and gonna put in the transition nute schedule.
Just wonder if I should go full strength or back it off a bit?

burn tips mean nuts burn, less is more! Or at least that works out pretty nice for me

Yea, I figured out that it was nute burn.
I mixed 4 gallons at normal strength then added a gallon of PH'd water.
I will keep an eye on them.

12/12 starts Sunday !!!

I will keep the lights on starting at 7 AM this morning and leave them on until 11PM tomorrow night, 40 hours straight.
Then Sunday at 7 AM will start the 12/12 photo period.

Next I need to get busy on a couple DIY Co2 generators.
Anyone know which is better?
The one where you drip vinegar into a bowl of baking soda.
Or
the one where you mix water yeast and sugar.
I appreciate any advise.

I also got all up under the SCROG screen and selectively defoliated a LARGE handful of either old fan leaves or big ones that were just sitting in the shade using more energy than they are producing.

I thought I would try the water/sugar/yeast approach to Co2 generation.
The main jug is an empty windex refill jug and a 1 liter soda bottle.
They fit nicely right in the door pocket. (had to crush the soda bottle to clear the SCROG screen)
The out put goes up to my circulation fan.
Some may say this is great, some may say it is a wast of time, I say... it couldn't hurt... right ???

I put the freezer door tray front on the bottom of the door with a couple screws.
Also added another small plastic tray I had.
Makes it easier to do my daily res work !
