Grow Room Spec Question

You have a 10x12x9 sealed enviroment running six (6) 1k lamps. Would you be able to comfortably fit forty (40) indica-dominant, flowering plants in staggered stages of development? Each lamp puts out 155000 lumens, coming out to 3875 lumens per plant with 3 sqft per plant.

Are two (2) 8in Inlines w/ 720 CFM sufficient to cool three (3) 1k bulbs at a time? I have been trying to understand Ventilation but I have no experience with it so it is harder to figure out.

How'd you end up with 40 plants for 6 lights. 6.667? Why not 36 plants? And 10x12=120 sq. ft. / 6=50 sq ft=4x5=50w/sq ft. Adequate, but using a 4x4 space per lamp will kick it up to 62.5w/sq ft. Better and over a threshold. Working/navigation space? Do you have alloted space for cloning, vegging, storage, sink, etc.? I suspect you'd be better off with 4 or 5 lamps and plenty of working space. I learned that the hard way. My room and I are always crowded. Good luck. -granger

I am not really sure where the 40 plants came from? Haha. 36 plants is much more feng shui to the specs.

I have a 8x10 bedroom, I am designating for veg and clones w/ two (2) 600w MH and a few CFL's. The 120 sq ft is part of our garage we are gonna build out and "seal" the enviroment. The storage, sink, work space and etc (along with my python collection) is dedicated to the other 200+ sq ft of our garage.

I am fed up with my IT career and looking to have a professional approach to "my ladies". I just have little operational experience other than "guerilla". Thanks for chiming in Granger

So, what...you are planning on running a two ft central walk way??? with plants on either side? If so, you are talking 18 plants per side basically...three rows of six...with 3k over each set of 18? Yeah, you can do that easily.

10 x 12 - is the true interior space after having framed out the room for sealing it? Or have you taken thought into how much space you'll lose when framing it out? If not - there goes your center walk way and then how are you going to move around in the room to water and tend the plants?

Just a thought.
