but the vet said that she had never had a full exam with them and that the vet wouldn't give any medication without a full exam first.

I didn't know she hadn't been for her first exam yet, you should take her there for that even if you'll treat her yourself after.

As for the DE, what I got might have been shit.. Could have been a fuckin bag of flour for all I knew. Check your source with things you're going to feed to your pets.

I've had her in for multiple vaccinations already. They have looked at her, and took her stitches out, as well as conducted major surgery having her spayed. I seriously doubt that they would do much more than what they already have during an "exam."

The DE I got bought yesterday is labeled as food grade, and has a guaranteed analysis as well as the distributor's information on it. It's says it contains calcium bentonite as well. It's lightly tinged brown, moreso than the stuff I already had, but both look identical in texture.

Well apparently my nutrient mixing fell behind. Came into the room this morning and a couple of my plants were drooping just a tad. Nothing terrible but the reservoir had clearly gone dry mid way through the night. I had also turned off the swamp cooler as I'm through stretch and humidity was sitting at ~60% still. This morning it was like 28%, so the plants were definitely needing that water, I wasn't giving them, lol.

I need some environmental controls desperately. I have literally no thermostat or humidistats to adjust my swamp cooler or my ventilation. They are high up on the list of items needed as soon as these next two trays finish in the next two weeks.

After a quick hand water and filling the res they perked right back up. I snapped some pics as well. I'll be back in a bit to upload them. Everything is looking great in Flower Room #2. I really need to get in there are defoliate. Lights running only at night can be a serious pain sometimes, lol.

Back to work!

Environmental control is everything Bro....means waaaay more than shoving light and juice up their ass....regardless....

Knowing is 1/2 the battle so you`ll be fine down the road....once stretch is over , don`t just let RH go down like that cuz it`ll shut em down just as easily....

Anything round 40-50% will stop em from transpiring too much and gettin nutrient uptake/balance outta whack till end of cycle...anyways....

Hope Harvey`s good to yas....and Icky....

That boy said if peacocks come round they`ll be dawgfood by sunset....didn`t tell him bout the guineas....lol...

Peace....DHF....:ying:....

You should go to the "Wolf Creek Ranch" website for info on how to use the DE for your dog. Google it.

Actually that's one of the sites I got some of the info from. I cross referenced it with a few other sites. I started her with 1 tsp twice a day and have since gotten up to 1 tbls this morning. She's passed a few pieces and no more loose stool but no large number of worms yet. I was about to order her Pyrantel Pamoate and Praziquantel combo dewormer today. Assuming the DE doesn't work before it gets here, I'll give her that and it should certainly handle the situation.

I'll keep the Wolf Creek Ranch DE order in mind. I've got lbs of the stuff now though...

Luckily I manage to be a decent controller myself, lol. Manual control works in a pinch.

I have managed to keep things pretty consistent and where they need to be, but as the seasons shift, and living in the mountains at 7,000 feet things have needed constant changes to keep the environment in line. Not running A/C makes this doubly challenging.

I'm planning to tear down Flower Room #1 here in the coming weeks, lay down some billboard tarp, and line the room with Orca if the money is there. Thinking about going bare bulb hybrid tree/donut/trellis room. With the vertical height I have I wonder if one or two of the new Epap's sitting up high down the middle might be a good to mix with the bare bulbs.

Room designs will be coming soon. I've got quite a bit on my plate at the moment, and I'm falling behind in regular household chores. Hopefully I can catch up in the next few days and get on top of everything.

Thanks for everything fellas!

If you're considering adding reflectors to your vert bulbs, you might want to look into vertizonals

My buddy who just cured his RA problem runs 6k of parabolics, over 6 5x5 trays, but the bulbs are positioned horizontally. I think he runs 42" XtraSuns.

The new Epapillion's are designed for a wide spread lighting an entire room, and require added vertical space to do so. They use the new double ended bulbs from Philips.

Do you think the vertical mounted reflectors would be a better bet? Or are you just busting my chops? Hard to tell, lol.

Those ePapillons are really junk with wider spread of light they are not a stand alone light makes it a weak par rating compared to Gavita

There are some folks that use horizontal lighting above their bare bulb setups and swear by em increasing yields , but it`s only conjecture and unproven.....

Hammerhead/Purple Frostbyte uses 1 of those new lights above his bare bulbs hangin and swears by it , but again dunno....

I know as you said they haveta be set higher up to give the footprint they do , and Third Coast says he can`t raise the wattage above 600 on dimmable gavita`s on his GG4 flat tables and says he`s doin 2+ lbs with said only 600 watts , and that`s impressive...bottom line....

Only 1 wayta find out and that`s to do a side by side with all things being equal , but do you have enough ceiling height to utilize 1 of the new epaps , although you could do what Third`s doin and dim the ballast down , dunno....me ?...

Bare bulbs rule and all else drool , but it`s what I was raised on.....but....Don Juan Matuus uses parabolics over each individual plants , and with his perpetual up-potting and staggered planting schedule after a total of 3 months his plants go staggered into the bloom rooms and turn into 3 lb monsters from his super cropping and other training techniques...

I couldn`t ever wait that long before cycling out plants or rooms , but it`s all relative after all ducks are in a row with perpetual cuz he`s still pullin 4-5 plants a month continuously and consistently.....

All in where yas wanna be and how far down the rabbit hole yas wanna go.....for the record....Philips ain`t supplyin those bulbs anymore and backed outta the pot growin industry , so getting double ended bulbs will haveta be otherwise sourced......

I'm not planning to use it as a stand alone light. They would be used over the top of a barebulb hybrid tree room. Say 4-6k in barebulbs hung down low, then another 1 or 2 Epaps raised way above. Everything covered in Orca film.

Par is certainly lost if you try to use an Epap to light a single tray, but when you light a room, uniform spread is better than directional lighting.

Thanks for the heads up on the others using similar techniques. The multiple points of light, not just from the 4 side, but also from the top has me thinking it may be a winner.

The Gavita's have a smaller footprint and are designed to light a single tray. The Epaps are not designed as such. I could see the need to dim gavita's if you don't have the vertical space, and if you don't have the vertical space, I see no point in trying to run Epaps.

I have ~11' of vertical height up to the top of the A Frame roof. which is 1:1 slope, so assuming I hang them dead center there is plenty of vertical height for growing trees/bushes. Although I'm not sure if the spread would be so wide that it would hit the roof or not.

God damn I'm wasting way too much time deciding between brands, sellers, and the oils themselves.

Anyone want to recommend a brand of neem? Photosynthesis recommended Ahimsa brand neem, but I can only order it from Neem Resource and being the only item I'm purchasing, shipping and handling is going to make that an unattractive source. DynaGro Neem I've seen suggested around... Or I could just order neem from the same source that I use to grab my essential oils. I can grab every single item off Amazon as well.

I'm going to simply steal Photosynthesis essential oil mix, so the full round up of items I plan to purchase for this new IPM project will be: Lavender, Thyme, Rosemary, and Eucalyptus, as well as Corriandor oil from SM90 and Neem oil. Maybe add in some Clove as well.

Depending on funds I may just go straight with SM90 or the essential oils and Neem. To buy them all is going to be ~$100 but should last me a while.

Ive used the dynogro neem. Quality shit bro. Thick and pure. I have used the cheap big box store shit that was watered down and runny. Not as impressed with it. Id go with dyno for sure. Couple tips, soak it in hot water before u measure and mix it. then use warm water to mix it. Also shake it good during spraying so it doesn't re solidify. Don't spray it too thick or it will burn. A drop or two of dish soap will help spread and stick. Wash ur sprayer directly after and run water thru the wand or it will clog up on ya.
