My patch may have been compromised... looking for some advice here

Man, I would've thought for sure that crop was gone! The copter over your neighbors house is sketchy, especially if it stopped and wasn't just flying low. I would've thought that they saw the crop outside and were using their infared cams to see if he had an indoor grow as well.

I've had a chopper fly over my grow this year during veg, and then that same night one flew over my indoor grow at like 2am and shook the entire house, waking everybody up. Nothing has happened yet though. That was in July....

You have balls for going back for such a heavy harvest, but it sounds like it was worth the risk for sure. I know what you mean by your heart pounding out of your chest bro! That's pure adrenalin right there. I had to nab a crop that in reality was ripped, but the ripper told me that the cops had found it. This was last year, and I went back to find all the plants down except one. It was dug up and plopped on the ground right at the entrance. I thought it was a setup, but went back one night to harvest it anyways because it was beautiful. Ran like the fucking wind for a mile back to my car and almost passed out, but it was successful. That was a Critical + that I'll never forget.

I might go back during the daytime, and pretend to harvest and make my way back to the road to see if anything happens. If they are staking it out then they'll bust me if I have a trash can in my hands I bet. Then if all is well, I'll make my way back there by night and actually harvest the plants. I wear a headnet and gloves when I do tend the plants, so I'll bring those and my running shoes just incase. Thanks for stopping in and sharing that story man, I'm gonna take your advice and trek with caution...

You N me both man. The chopper didn't just buzz over their house either. It actually stopped, and hovered directly over it for a good half minute, It did a complete 180 above their fucking house in midair to turn and face me. Never seen anything like it. I was thinking the same thing, maybe looking for a heat sig, or just trying to let em know we found your shit (wasnt actually theres), but you know. Then they turn the chopper around to face me, Im like fuck.. maybe theyre just trying to get a reaction, so I look around like "WTF" and dip back in the house..

If they hadnt seen the plants and werent fucking around, They must have just been some real dickheads. I will never forget that season tho. Ive had some close calls but that shit was unreal. I remember praying for a successful harvest because I had so much invested, and at stake that year. It must have worked.

I would go in during the day like u said, take some running shoes, and/or the dog like your just having a walk.. Have a good look around and see what u can see. Maybe you can see trails going in or out or will notice some disturbance indicating someones been in and seen the plants.. If not have a closer look, I wouldnt touch or even "notice" the plants, and casually make your way out, to see what happens. Try to look around for cameras. I know around here the railroads and adjacent properties are private, so worst case if you are encountered they may ask you to leave, just tell them you were having a walk, and didnt know it was private property.. If the coast is clear, come back midnight, and get your buds.. Be careful man, tread lightly, and make it happen.
Keep us posted, so we know how you made out.

Ever see the final scene of "Scarface?" Sorry, I'm a bit irritated, having to chop 40+ plants about 4 weeks early due to fucking rippers.

Maybe watch Dr, Phil instead...

That's fucked!!!!

I would have lost it. Your neighbors aren't growers, are they? LOL

It's quite possible good faith brought that harvest to your door man... I believe in that type of stuff. I'm glad you made it out alive, and had a great yield as well. How many lb's did you grab off of that btw? It sounds like a lot.

But good call, I definitely have to do some more investigating before chopping the girls. I'm gonna see what happens this week, I'll keep ya posted though! :tiphat:

No man the neighbors def didnt grow they were older folks.. In their 70s atleast. Everyone in the neighborhood had veggie gardens. Mine was the best looking :) n unbeknownst to them I had a killer flower garden in the woods
I never got a total weight, but I was trimming right up to spring. I sold quite a bit of it, and would basically trim it as It sold.. It was a nice haul tho. Ive been growing for 18 years, that was my best harvest to date, and the first time I never had a single plant ripped off or eradicated.. Had some critter damage, but thats all part of the game.

I'd be more scared of the drive home with the goods.

4 summer ago I had a plant out in the woods. I went to harvest it during a torrential downpour so could save the plant. I hiked through 4 foot snake infested waters to get it. saw no snakes got out. felt nervous on the way home.

I think it's the striving for that perfect crop that drives us... I'm glad you got to have yours finally. It sounds like it was amazing bro. Before I go legal I want to have one of my own... maybe I'll get lucky this year. Maybe not. Only time will tell...

Absolutely. Since my first grow It was that garden of dreams Id strive for. I finally pulled it off, and damn it felt good. Im gearing up now for this spring. I havent done an outdoor since, and Im going to try to go even bigger this year. As with anything, you gain knowledge over time. I remember my first grow, was me an a partner, we showed everyone bc we were so proud, and trusting, and looking to learn a lesson I guess. We learned our lesson, never trust anyone when it comes to dope or money. I tried growing another season with a partner, and lets just say I grow alone now. Secrecy is very important. If a crop gets stolen and you have a partner your gna want to blame them. It may not even be them, but I feel better not having anyone to blame but myself. Ive gotten really good at hiding outdoor grows, and that all comes with experience, and a bit of research. I got serious about guerilla growing not long ago, and use every bit of knowledge, and technology I can. Google Earth is excellent for scouting plots early. U can find entrances, nearby water sources, nearby houses, etc without ever setting foot on the ground. Than when you do go in, you have an idea of what to expect.. Julian has a massive outdoor thread on here somewhere, that was honestly a lot of my inspiration back in the day and made me aim for that "field of dreams".

Bro I get just as sketched out as you do......cars sitting where they shouldn't be looking like cops. Reminds me of the thread "You know your a real grower when........you think EVERYONE is a cop" In my experience the pigs aren't gonna sit where you can see them, to try and catch you at your crop. They are gonna hide in the woods in camo and wait........if it was the cops. If you can get out into the woods real early during a week day, pick your plants and drive them home during morning rush hour.......real safe time to travel if you obey the traffic laws. Sundays in the morning are also a good time, as sunday is the "universal" day of rest......I've noticed that there is hardly any traffic sunday mornings.

I would go to the train tracks.. with something that could be done.. if theres a river near by.. a fishing pole.. or bird watching shit.. or just bring a dog for a walk if u got one..

and when u see the dude in the impala.. ask him if hes a cop.. just say u saw some dude acting sketchy and shit in the opposite direction of your operation

get a north American bird field guide (read up a bit so it sounds like you know what your talking about), a pair of binoculars, and a backpack with some snacks and water and stuff. maybe even take a camera. park right where you saw that car sitting. get out and walk directly to your plot stopping just short. wander around and enjoy nature for a bit maybe even do what it is your trying to make it look like your doing. then come back to your car. drive home and wait. if nothing happens then you are cool. go back late on a sunday night, park FAR away and go in on foot. bring your shit back to a spot just inside and stash it. then walk back to your car. go home get you something to eat shower and go pick your shit up at like 5 am when everyone is headed off to work.

if you think you need to get yourself a benzo so you can keep your cool if you do end up having to explain your self to a pig while you are bird watching

so are you in prison yet?

2 unmarked cars flanking the area you grow in. do you even need to make a thread and ask these questions. sometimes coincidence isn't a coincidence, it's a warning from the universe.

or just cut your losses. these things are why its best not to put all your eggs in one basket. also the reason I gave up the great outdoors for growing illegal plants that are currently under a witch hunt.

indoors gives you some peace of mind. however. if you give it a week or two and go back just to look around and they are still there you got a green light to harvest. they are not going to stake out that few plants for too long. it isn't worth their time. they are after the big fish and 14 plants makes you a guppy

I'd just walk my dog through there. if the plants are still there chop em, stash em near where you can easilly load your car.
simples.
