Let us give credit where credit is due. Federal acquiescence to state legalization is the single most important & positive legal development for the cannabis community since California voted for MMJ in 1996.
Period.
Neither Holder nor Obama can just come out & say that, obviously, haters being as they are. Whatever Obama is for, they're against, so it's best that they not be identified with this issue.
The Executive branch needs to jump through a lot of hoops to re-classify marijuana, whereas Congress can simply do it. Obama will obviously sign any such legislation that comes his way.
That's what needs to happen, and Repubs will obviously need to believe that it was their idea in the first place. Some of them are supposedly Libertarian, right?
They baited and switched us for our votes - and then did almost nothing. The raids continued all around us. I watched Dispensaries in the Emerald Triangle, SF, and later Michigan closed down and raided for whatever reason. Assets disappearing, including personal finances. While the rhetoric or lack of continued.

I don't think I've EVER seen such an example of BLATANT racist favoritism at the federal level in my many years. Dude is like a black version of a 1940's southern state politician.
Regardless, it is very typical of the COWARDS we have in our federal government to call for doing the "right thing" when they leave their office, as opposed to DOING the "right thing" IN OFFICE where it might not be popular.

The damage they have done to our once great country is incalculable. They have done NOTHING for "us". They pander to whoever when it benefits them. As far as doing what's right? Forget it. The vast majority of Americans are against the illegal alien invasion, but these lying hypocrites could care less. They are determined to turn this country into a third world dumping ground, bowing to their corporate puppet masters, for cheaper labor and more Democratic future votes from criminals who should have been jailed and deported. Middle class Americans, whose parents and grandparents fought in two world wars, saving the country & the world twice, can go to hell as far as these racists are concerned. Destroying the white power base is and always has been their goal. Their actions are indefensible. This is the most corrupt administration in history, and I can only hope they get the jail time they deserve.
