I agree with you guys, I can almost sense when a bud was grown with that shit. If it's rock hard with little visible trichs, my guess is it's paclo bud. Stay away, that's straight up poison. Same for bud blood, bushmaster and a few others. If I owned a dispensary I would only except organic grown buds for that reason alone. Who knows what kind of poison these chem growers are pumping into their plants. All in the name of greed. I seriously hope cannabis users and patients start demanding a better product. I know this is tough when you are suffering and anything is better than nothing, but the crap some people are selling is truly pathetic and downright harmful.
That's why this LP system is doomed to fail. Once the majority of people clue in to what quality cannabis looks, smells and tastes like it's all over. Trying to produce high quality, crystal coated, connoisseur type buds will be impossible with chem ferts on a large scale. Sure they might reach some level of standardization, but is that really what we want? Standard, run of the mill cannabis at $10 a gram. The over regulation of cannabis was done to keep it out of the hands of the people. Why is that I can grow poppies and peyote legally in my backyard, but cannabis needs to be behind lock and chain?
Cannabis is as harmless as tomatoes, and should be regulated that way. Trying to turn our much loved cannabis plant into a pharmaceutical product is completely moronic and absolutely ignorant of the facts. The fact is, every grow, every plant, even different parts of the plant will have different cannabinoid profiles. Taking a small sample from a batch to test will tell you very little about the quality of each individual bud.
The only future I see for LP's will be as r&d facilities and clone banks. Having someplace to purchase small quantities of a strain you're interested in to see if it works for you. If it does then you are free to purchase a clone to grow for yourself, or look up a small organic farmer or dispensary in a database that is offering that particular strain already. It's the only logical model that would provide for the needs of patients.

seriously? i think anybody can tell if somebody is buying extracted bud no? how long ago did u visit toronto420 im actually there every other week and ive never seen bud that has no trichs on it lol these are a few strains ive picked up from them within the last month , hes almost always outta stock but has atleast 20-30 different varietys rotating as well as the corresponding oils for each breed he carries. ive been to calm half a year ago and they were selling headband for 250/oz and other varieties for 200-300/oz

That's 2 more than they are getting in the Vancouver area. Best product goes 14, but that's the real pretty stuff(Top Shelf).
So yes, I would say 16 is good.
