It seems perfectly happy this morning, will leave it a few days and then ill bend it under something. It'll probably end up being very "ghetto" ..might go down garden centre and see if i can get some of that trellis stuff to wedge it under, almost like a scrog lol

so, i have now had it wedged sideways for a week, its turning into a huge bush. Drinks vast (i mean like HUGE) amounts of water now. Have been giving it up to 2 litres a day! It seems happy.

I have been chatting to the breeder of this strain, to try and find out some more info. Unfortunately he told me that it is "one of the longest flowering plants" and i have also been warned that sometimes a whole branch will be a hermie (i think that means male pollen will seed all my bud?) He said theres a lot of thai in this line (not really sure of the implications other than i love sativa highs so thats good!) Its certainly way too big for me to bring it inside now so it'll be left to fend for itself(i couldnt get all of it in the picture! its aboout 4ft high but about 7 ft long, and is bushing out big, it had been weaved through an old bike!). The preflowers have disappeared in some places, which is strange... i hope it doesnt seed my little autoflower,(another thing iv been warned of) the little accidental auto has the start of a nice bud on it. If it does seed it i suppose that will be an interesting cross!

Hey bro,

Good luck flowering a 16 week Sativa outdoors in the UK. I just cropped my force flowered ladies in the shed and suffered small amounts of bud rot from the humid air at night time, and that was in a shed with a 1000 watt bulb running 12/12. My only outdoors ones now are in a greenhouse to protect them from the shit weather we have. Hope you do well mate and the buds stay quite airy to try and prevent bud rot. All the strains I use outdoor are normally done in 8/9 weeks.

Peace

My plan for it is probably to leave it be for as long as possible, harvest early and then make oil if the plant is really not anywhere near being done, possibly also make a cutting and try to flower that inside if the plant is still vastly unready at the time i need to chop it down... SPG, Im hoping (praying) that because of the concrete heat effect in big cities means i wont see a frost for a little bit at least! Its nice and sunny today :D bit cold tho! Wish we could tow the uk to the Caribbean like in that old walkers advert lolol

It survived the weather so far. Will probably be giving it the chop soon, its fooking massive. Have tied down a few times various branches and they keep making more spears. its full of little preflowers but nothing more than a few white hairs here and there. Its a real slow one, thats for sure... the mrs is giving me grief about it because it stinks as well, its too bait for me to take a picture at the moment but i will try and get one before i chop it down, if not ill post one of it when chopped. Would ideally like to leave it another month at least but other half is the boss when it comes to these matters im afraid! (will still attempt to tie down a few more times and keep small tho, would love to keep her!)

Well part of the reason she wants it gone also is i had that accidental autoflower sitting inside in a grow area and its getting pretty buddy now...

here is some bad pictures of the autoflower (it is a skunk)

I don't get why you're growing it outside if it's so risky there :p

If I was you I'd put it inside and smell proof everything :p Growing a flowering plant outdoors in a residential area would freak me out.

I've had disagreements between girlfriends and gardens before though and I can totally relate.

The auto is looking good so far, remember skunks can have orange looking pistils long before they're ready for harvest. It's important to know if it's the trichomes oranging or if the pistils are just orange while the trichomes are still clear.

Hope we ge to see some more pics before the plant is chopped

Ok so here are some pics i took a couple of days ago, sorry they arent better, i was rushed and also its quite bait, couldnt fit whole plant into picture :/

the trunk (i think i can call it that?) is pretty big

There are lots and lots of individual pistils at the flowering sites

and many of the shoots are just (in the last few days) starting to develop purple colour at the top in their stems

updateage:

Outdoor is starting to look a bit nicer, but its the slowest flowerer ever. Managed to convince the mrs to let me keep it for a bit longer. Have tied it down more. Not getting as much sun as id like, being all tied down and shit. bear in mind that this plant has *never* been fed. Its in a decent peat compost but still. goes to show that some of these sativas are super light feeders.

So its the 23rd sept, and the outdoor is finally showing some decent bud sites-its got a crapload more than i thought it would, if this plant could go full term there would be big yields i think, it smells lovely too, im really getting excited about it now!

cheers guys! keeping fingers and toes and everything else crossed i dont get a mouldy plant outside with these low temps and wet weather. Looked at the longer term forecast, we should hopefully be getting some warmer weather again very soon. Next year im definitely going to grow outside again, hopefully find a sativa which will finish in the uk! Perhaps durban poison (think someone suggested that to me) the difference between outdoor and indoor is bigger than i would have ever imagined

Outside:

Plants looking good. You should see the roots! (I'll post a pic when i finally cut it down!)

Inside:

The auto is very nearly done, looks better than the last one i did. I think perhaps because the first half of its life was spent outside. Anyway... Maybe leave it 2 or 3 more days. It stinks quite nice, slightly less skunky than i thought it would, and a bit more fruity. Which is a plus for me. I'v got to take it down soon anyway because i have 3 new seedlings for my "autumn/winter" grow that want to come in from the cold, i'v got a very small grow space :(

I'm going to have to tie down outside again, its pretty f-ing bait. It keeps waving at people. I tell it, "NO, dont try and make friends!"

I cant wait to try some of it. Its super super lemony, classic lemon thai smell. MMMMM. :D:D:D:D:D

All this rain is messing with my poor outside plant :( the branches are all bent over cos the buds are full of water and are bending over. Some of the tops' pistils have started to turn a pretty dark red colour, they look good :D i'll hopefully get some more pics soon. contemplating chopping in a week or so. prang of getting bud rot. badly want to get some of that rocketship sativa buzz going on so even under ideal conditions i'd probably be cutting it down sooner rather than later. can anyone give me an idea of how many days it's ok for the buds to stay soaked through? i know water isn't good to leave sitting in them, forecast says rain for next 2-3 days :( Damn you england! *shakes fist*
