Anyone know what could be causing this? Its in pro-mix potting soil 5 weeks old and been fed plain pH balanced water for the last week since this started.

@Davey420

The information you give are not enough.

Soil or coco ? When soil, which one ?
How did you fertilize ?
Watering ?
Picture of the whole plant ?
How old is the plant, in veg or flower, how long ?
PH ?

Happy frog, bat guanos twice a week. plant is about a month old, ph 6.3 I think I may have been overwatering she drinks like crazy though, transplanting into 5's to see if that helps.

Hello. I have problems with all of my plants. The leave start to erode away starting with the lower leaves. Some spotting on others. The leaves feel very brittle to the touch and easily fall apart when you twist them. The new leaves feel much better but still a bit brittle.

Using soil, GHE bloom and micro Lucas formula and a couple of drops of superthrive. I don't have a pH-meter but my municipalitys website state that the tap water pH is very soft and has a pH of 8.1.
Temps are around 23-27 during light hours and 18-20 during dark with a RH of 50-60 light not sure about dark.

The largest plants are 4-5 weeks old, the small ones 2-3 weeks and they all have these problems, but the large have more severe.

I have also seen some fliers, suspect them to be root aphids. Transplanted 2 days ago and didn't see anything in the old soil though.

using Golden Label nutrients growing in Coco, A+B @ ~2ML per litre, MG @ 0.5-0.75ML per litre, pH is steady 5,8-5,9. I noticed the other day a leaf or two showing brown spots, today when I check the girls I find a couple of leaves pretty far gone so to speak... heres an example:

sD988V8.jpg

There are signs of brown spots on most of them. I've had spidermite problems and sprayed them twice with organic pesticide the past 2 weeks. So could anyone help me out? I believe it is CA deficiency - possibly by locking CA out with too much NA and MG? Maybe I should give hand watering a try for a few days with just A+B? (the MG additive I use has 4-0-0 and some extra MG)

MG @ 0.5-0.75ML means you feed extra magnesium, right ?
Then i whould also guess it´s CA deficiency :(

To much MG blocks CA out as far as i now.
I would totaly stop feeding MG for sure. I´m not sure if it´s possible to feed CA directly to the leaves.

Yeah, and unfortunately I filled my res with the scheduled nutrients before checking the girls... So I'm gonna try hand feeding just the basic nutes :) Thanks for the quick reply

Some discoloration getting worse. Got these cuts three days ago. Think I over watered them and gave em to much light to fast. The temps have been fluctuating as well.

Another pic of my plants. pH trouble is fixed, nute and watering is good. I think its spider mites. Will spray with homemade organic prsticide made from chilis, garlic and onion. Any other tips please! These suckers are slowly destroying my plants.
Or could it be nute burn?

(COPY) Please help! 3 problems w Jack H and Northern lights.

(COPY) Please help! 3 problems w Jack H and Northern lights.

(Copy of just added thread under Infirmary...)

Hi guys,

well we have some problems here in Denmark....

Jack Herrer and Northern Lights 4-5 weeks into flowering...

Problem 1

The leaves, pictures attached, appear burnt on the edges of the leaves - moving inward. The leaf stayes green until the burnt edges eat the leaf up. It only happens on the upper leaves.

Problem 2
The fine hair on the buds are turning orange/amberish... Half are white, but half change color.- We still have more than a month to go!

Problem 3
Very slow growth.... The plants have had a great time!! But for the past week, the leaves have started to wither and the buds are barely growing. Along with the colorchanging of the fine hair.

I have been looking on the internet, in here without finding anything specific.

Do you guys have any ideas???????

Tomorrow I will get a mignifying glass - I have seen some flies... I suspect them to be fungus gnats! If it is true I have read one can mix hydrogen peroxide into the water and wash them through. Do you guys agree??

Kind regards
KiLoLo

Greetings IC-Folks i´ve got some Problems with my Sensi Stars here going on.

As you can see the girls in the front starting to get purple leaf stalks while the leafs on the bottom staring to turn yellow from the outside as you can see in the first 2 pictures.

In the second row you can notice that the plants who start to yellowing have these purple leaf stalks, while the 2 healthy remaining Sensis (which don`t yellow) have no purple stalks at all.

I fertilized one time since i buyed the clones with 8ml Plagron Power Roots + 2 Drops Hesi SuperVit on 10 Gallons Water.

They are standing under 250W in a HB Growlab 80, with 220-360 m² pipe fan, 2 Clip fans (15W) and a 240 m² active carbon filter.

I water them about every 3-4 days with 9 gallons water on 9 plants which are each standing in 6,5 gallon pots

Temps: 19,6 - 26 °C
Humidity: 40-55%

I´ve bought them on December,22th from a trusted Shop and moved them today in 12/12 cycle.

Hope this infos are enough so you can help me out!

i think your issue is your ph is off. those burned leaves are from the pH dropping. i also see your roots suffered some damage near the bottom of the netcup. how far away from the bottom do you keep the water level? what temp is your reservoir? 20C is that over 80 degrees F? that's too warm looks like you've had some root rot.

but from what i see with your leaves i'd say the pH is too low or your nute concentration is too high. most likely all caused by your root damage. i'd lower the nute concentration for a while till your plant recovers and make sure theres a little gap between the water and the bottom of your cup so that the rockwool doesn't stay wet all the time, and make sure the res temp stays above 60 and below 75 degrees f.

Thanks for respond. Solution T is 68-70 (F), week ago before the photo been made i spotted a beginning of root rot (T wat near 75 (F), so i plug another 2 airpumps and lower solution T to 68 (F) roots growing well and healthy now, but leafes problem still persist - brown spots and curling upward keep pH at 5,70 and EC-1,5
My it be from my tap water 200ppm@0.5 ? Should i buy RO filter? It seems Mg deficiency still progressing

try this. take a separate container and put 1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of water and soak your roots in it. while doing that wash your res real good and use a little bleach. rinse well and mix your nutes again. the h2o2 will kill any bacteria on the roots. but it will also kill your plants. use very very little. 1tsp 3% peroxide or less per gallon.

HALP!

I am stumped as to what is causing this death. It has happened throughout 4 different strains (Jack H., Jack Skellington, Grape Ape, Blue Dream.) and starts in week 4 and gets worse. Plants are fine and bloom normally until then. I have used NFTG, H & G, Ran both through the harvest with same issue, Top Dressing with GrowillaVeg in veg, and GrowillaBud in bloom. PH has been kept in the range of what the nute manufacturer recommends same with PPM. The only thing that has been added to all the different plants is sometimes there has been a watering day with Sea Green (1ml/gl) (not consistently throughout plant life). Pictured are Jack Skellington at week 6 and a bottom branch of blue dream week 5. I have sprayed with UltimateWash and Azamax (rotating weekly) RH is 55% to 68% Temps are 66F/pm 84F/AM
