Papaduc...Ok.. I'm only joking btw.. but that picture... looks like you've got some nice plants in there bro, but they're not right up the trellis ya know... With respect, doesn't look like a gpw grow to me fella.

I got u papaduc, we'll watch together to see numbers, like u I work by science and logic not opinions and hopes. Straight lab experiment is my approach.
Thanks for the compliment miraculous meds.
Thanks Maj cottonmouth for the knowledge on posting. Now yall won't have to break ur necks tryna look as some fly ass bzoids lmao, driving up all on the curb and shit haha
I would've let the starfighter and wifi go to the 3/4 mark of the fence but I was worried the stretch would be too much. Now I know she won't do that, so let's see what kind of numbers this one brings, then we can watch them next round hopefully prove me right. I feel like hella ppl hate on the idea of vert growing because they don't care enough to actually run it and c the results, ppl, if ur environment isnt as stable as the ladies need it to b to reach full potential and ur going vert, how do u expect to pull the numbers u think u can achieve? What I'm saying is don't expect ur grow, vertical or horizontal, to achieve its max potential if ur environmental parameters aren't in check,ie. temp, water temp if n hydro, ppm, co2 ppm, etc. can we all agree on that? U can't just have one disappointing vertical grow then throw n the towel and hate on the theory. Not until there's standard controls n the experiment can u prove or disprove someone's hypothesis on vert growing. Once environment and overall health is where it needs to be can we begin to observe and learn, then apply and then comes the conclusion, but only after scientific research. Thanks for not jumping on me right off the back yall, I'm not here to say this ways better unless it's backed up by research, observation, and coming to a conclusion based on that, not someone's feelings being hurt bcuz horizontals the only way they know, and it's been the standard and will most likely continue to be. Hoods are expensive and if I can save on just that, and at the same time achieve all surface area, damn, we might have something special y'all. And if it doesn't work out, then it's back to the hoods and horizontal way of life which is cool too. Either way, it's about the experiment, hypothesis, supporting evidence and conclusion with results based off of said experiment. Just my 2pennies, I think the vert looks hella clean. Just cuz it looks different. And u can c the whole lady, it's like having a wall of main floweres, and the ones that would b larfe r actually just as fat or close to the main tops. It's like having a bouquet of main tops. Like the idea of scrog, just vertical scrog. That's not my opinion or hopes, that's an observation, ya digg. I hope at least if some of us can't keep an open mind and helpful attitude about this, that u save ur haterism until I am disproved, and the show is over, but I really hope I can I show us different, I say us bcuz I hope I prove the theory of surface area= more.....ya know, so erry can c and stop bickering! some of these ppl on here have a real grudge on vert growing! crazy. Personally I always thought it was industry leaders covertly checking what can harm their bizz, if u can go bigger without hoods, that's a big loss, ya digg. But if it doesn't work, it's back to the industry lmfao holla at ya folks tho

but I wouldn't expect u to understand that if I have never showed you.. ever.. like even once.... It's because of my bad back and that you know...

;)

I understand about T5s brother, believe me. There's a big jump between stretching a plant out on T5s and getting 1.5 gpw from it.

I can't wait to see those 4 foot T5 branches holding 1.5gpw of weight right round that bulb... It's gonna look like a young Spiderman's been in there

I don't understand the hoods are expensive thing. mine were air cooled powerplant ones and I love them. it think they were £70. that's $113. tbh its one of the cheaper items ive bought.

coming back to your post/thread etc. what kinda numbers are you pulling from your setup? and how long do you veg for?

Well, other than a bunch of random posts by guys with (clearly) small penises or no Girlfriends to use their Magnum sized dicks thus causing a bunch of hate built up and needing a release, THIS THREAD IS ACTUALLY GOOD.

I have learned a lot and realized Ill go.......VERT. Not for yield, but because I can veg to fill my screens and it looks so damn sweet.

Thanks guys.

MM, you are new enough around here that you apparently don't know that Doc should be a pro bass fisherman considering his aptitude for trolling. He would argue with a telephone pole, and they would be roughly matched. Even if he inadvertently slips a couple of facts in, they invariably get lost in his sentence structure.

Consider yourself warned. :tiphat:

Best post of this thread.

You notice that most growers claiming high yields like Med mans 1.5 GPW or LSWM 28 zips never post final pictures ??? probably cause its total BS
Really funny when you read some of there posts then makes you wonder there claiming these numbers yet there posting about hanging a horizontal light 10 feet in the air hahaha here a post

I have a room that is roughly 15'x15', and has an AFrame roof that is a 1:1 slope. The peak is ~11'.

I am thinking about hanging vertical bare bulbs and supplementing some overhead lighting with 1 or 2 Epaps, or parabolic reflectors.

So my question is: Will the wide spread of the Epap be negated by the AFrame roof? If I hang the fixture @ 10' the bulb ends will be ~1' from the roof. Will this be an issue? I may be able to drop it lower, but want to have all my bases covered.

Starting my first horizontal 1000k grow in quite a while, in about a week. 5x5 space hope that's ideal. Just waiting for them to adjust to their new containers and I need to get another hood cause the one I have now for veg is pretty small.

First vert run in the new spot gonna be done in a couple weeks.

Are those plants growing in vertical pots, or are they leaning inwards? Have seen some where pots are leaning 45 degree's.

EDIT: Wait a minute. 25 per 600? That's 41 zips per 1k. Did you say you were hitting "25-35 per 1k"?

I also find it quite hilarious that you go check out my thread, and come back shit talking, but still have yet to post a picture of your own. Not that I would believe it was yours or the numbers you claim anyways. Without a thread to back it up you could be shooting shots of anyones rooms and claiming any #'s you like.

EXAMPLE: OMG HORIZONTAL GROWS SUCK GUYS! LOOK AT HOW EASY I HIT 2GPW VERT!

These aren't my plants. The pics are stolen from a post here in the vert forum. Grower is someone from instagram.

I can recommend a vertical grow to everyone who has a stretchy strain. Instead of battling stretch I use it to my advantage in a vertical grow now. I tried to battle stretch with nearly every option available but it only helped little. I also dont mind wearing welding googles if I watch into my cylinder full of buds. Otherwise I just avoid watching into the light directly when I am moving around in my grow room. I have a vscrog and I only need to train the plants for the first 3-4 weeks of flowering (I grow them horizontally before flowering). I am on my first vertical grow right now and all the training takes much less time than I imagined. I wont go back to a horizontal grow any time soon although a LED COB grow sounds interesting but why if we can use CDM now...:dance013:
