Dear Moderators

Dear Moderators

I know that the poll here is very similar to the one in "ACE Crosses"
But I've received lots of input on preferencess so wanted to modify the poll. feel free to delete the "ACE Crosses" Thank You

Which hybrids would you prefer and why? What do you think the high would be like? Do you think that hybrids are the way to go starting a garden or would IBLs be your best bet?

I voted for the Purple Haze Malawi X Banghi Haze aka NOCO Gallo Loco, because I only do outdoor & guerilla.

This cross will already be too late for my latitude (50°) because I do only outdoor & guerilla. Or October and November has to got much better weather than normal (2013 was such a year).

Would love to see some potent sativa crossed with Erdpurt...

Grtz,
D.U.

I think Erdpurt X Banghi Haze would be a winner

One good thing about crossing with Banghi is that not only does it bring down flowering time but it's resistant against bad weather so you can keep them out longer to mature

This thread is for ACE crosses both accomplished and planned. ACE made Kali China X NepJam
an offering so I won't have to make that one cross I was planning

Hi CACTUSFLOWER,

They all sound like interesting combinations, with good potential to produce high yielding and powerful sativa dominant crosses of short-moderate flowering time.

Nepal Jam x Kali China is already available as new limited edition, very limited stock until we produce more. Overall an excellent F1 as stated in its description.

Panama is a great sativa to breed with, and with the right parental plants you can easily produce outstanding hybrids.

Haze/Thais and Haze Malawi cross well with shorter flowering sativas or sativa/indicas like Zamal Hash or Bangi Haze.

I'd recommend you to start first with a few good inbred lines, then become familiar with them, learn what you like and what you don't like of each line, keep the best parental plants of the inbred lines in clone form, set your breeding goal to produce the hybrid (define possible nice combinations between different strains), produce seeds using as many parental plants as possible (different lines), and in different order (strain A x strain B, strain B x strain A). Find out what line/s perform better and are closer to your breeding goal, keep parental plants of the best hybrid lines, start to inbred the hybrid for the desirable traits.....

If you are looking for solid inbred lines to make your own F1s i would recommend you Malawi, Panama, PCK, Kali China, Tikal, Oldtimer's Haze, Haze/thais, ErdPurt ... or from other seed companies: Skunk, Peyote Purple, Deep Chunk, Blueberry, Flo .... they all produce great hybrids.

can anyone give advice on trying to keep some diversity in the gene pool even though I can run very few plants. I want to make crosses but cant do 1000 of each, just a few. How do I maximize my breeding (I really don't think of myself as a breeder since I don't have the experience or situation) and not cause an immediate bottleneck? Sorry if this is a stupid question
