I agree. Can you recommend a church in the east bay where showing up smelling like reefer isn't frowned upon?

If we are being honest here, none of you are adding anything to this thread. Sorry but I can careless about your dick size contest and what crap you have in what cup. Talk about the subject or gtfo.

And being able to fill a cartomizer without needing any nasty pg or even worse peg. Hell, you'd even be able to rub it on topically.

Too thick to cartomize without terps

It also takes that bitter bite out that most edibles are designed to hide. This raw product is great for people who need high does fast acting oral meds.

Any confirmations on TetraLabs Pure Gold? I've been informed that they changed their formulation somewhat recently, but definitely recall the YouTube video mentioning limonene and people taking about how it tasted like straight tangerines.

At the time I read Rick Pfrommer's (of Harborside) review/write-ups of the then-new HBC solventless wax, I found it oddly interesting and also suspicious how the first samples were all strongly orange-flavored...

Thoughts, comments, info, feedback, discussion?

Literally every raw, solvent free, extract I have ever tried tasted like D Limonene.

Steam distillation using d Limonene as the carrier. I'm over looking for something that's not there

Too thick to cartomize without terps

The design of the cartomizer would dictate that.

For instance, if anyone remembers the Omicron/Persei cartridges that used a heated funnel for loading solid/thick extracts, followed by a two-coil design with one near the top to melt down the thick stuff at top down to the atomizing coil at the bottom.

I'm more concerned about the potential "bland high" effect vs a synergistic effect produced by THC + combination of terpenes. This is primarily what makes the Sour Diesel high different than Big Bud high, isn't it? (Along with the ratios of different forms of THC/cannabinoids.)

Starting to think a 300mm Graham condenser might not have been the best choice for this particular application. Thinking it would clog easily and often, maybe requiring frequent heating cycles to melt down any blockages or build-up. Maybe a shorter one, or better yet a coil condenser (reverse Graham) might be better suited for this job. Maybe a Liebig/Allihn.

Basically looks like additional heat or solvents may be needed to assist with flow. Guessing heat and a condenser suited for this application is best, perhaps even physical scraping if necessary, and the design allows for it.

If we are going back to steam distillation discussion apart from The Clear, might I remind you all there is a thread for that now.

Anybody see FarmerJoeParker's most recent post on IG? Pretty interesting. I always wondered how they did those dragonballs.

I agree. Although I was thinking chromatography. That may not be necessary though.

My first experiment using cannabinoids, I will try the distillation process with Limonene as a carrier.

Should I just fill my Buchner with Carbon for a second filtering after the initial winterization filter step..?

Fuck. Wasnt aware there were so many types of activated charcoal.

So "regular", or rather activated carbon that hasn't been specifically manufactured for decolorizing won't do. Looks like science supply shops are the only " retail" outlets for this stuff. Know of other easier sources, and ballpark range on price (website says call)?

Is there a particular method or temperature range that works better than others, in general, for decolorizing? Warmer or colder better? I'm assuming stir into mixture rather than pour mixture through, correct?

You have to buy carbon expressly made for decolorization from someone who sells reputable chemicals. I even tried gas masks, gas carbon doesn't work either.

Hours of magnetic stirring with a pinch of charcoal sometimes with heat is common, cold and large quanties of the charcoal are out. THC and maybe even more THCA stick to the carbon too - maybe the attraction is not as strong as with coloring agents.

Do you know off the top of your head whether a microwave oven will heat / steam / evaporate ethanol the way it does water?

Hours of heated stirring, eh? Maybe I just did it wrong, with the aquarium carbon.

I'll give aquarium carbon one more try before marking it off the list.
