HEY!! LOL! Wait a minute. Don't try to flip it like I was declaring who was the best athlete. LOL! That is what I was saying to begin with. Every time somebody makes statements about these 4 QBs they all start talking who best athlete is with no way of knowing for real. Plus that person is never Luck. As a Colt fan I like to chime in. Just start adding Luck to the conversation.

does anyone else question the hawks mentality behind having harvin return kicks and earl Thomas return punts? there are a lot of injuries in ST play, they would be hurting if either of those guys get hurt...I don't see the point I guess....especially keeping Thomas on the field after being on the field for a defensive series...maybe they're over confident in their 3-n-out's....no way id have the best safety in the game doing anything but playing safety. same goes for Patrick Peterson last season, I understand they're potentially explosive players but geez lol

Thomas has had a tough night so far.

Lions open on Monday night!!!!

Here's to hoping they can cut down on the t.o.'s and penalties.

They had some good fortune too. Wilson throws an INT that gets dropped and Rodgers throws a completion right in the guys hands that comes out right into DB hands for an INT.

Wilson takes a big loss on a sack and there is a penalty that saved him.

The Packers did get manhandled. Plus they wasted so much clock time especially the beginning of the 4th quarter.

So far I am 0-1. Off to a good start. LOL!

Deez, that's what I like to call Pete Carroll coaching at its finest. He just coaches different than most and the last couple of years its worked for him. Actually since he had the unorthodox draft pick of Russel Wilson and then start him, seems like everything Pete has done has been smart. Its amazing what a good QB can let their coach get away with....I knew the over on that game last night was a winner!

Harvin is going to be a top 5 WR this year!!! I took him in 90% of my leagues

I missed out Lynch though....but I did draft Major Bust Andre Ellington...that midgets foot is messed up already.... hes going to miss so much time !!! Glad I didn't draft Lacy... rung his bell hard last night... concussion number #2

lacy looked a lot like t-rich...he needs to drop the 15lbs he gained in the offseason, or figure out some way to get into second gear. Kuhn straight up robbed him of that goaline carry...ouch, glad I didn't pick up lacy in any leagues.

otto- if im paying those guys to be my #1wr and just gave thomas a massive contract I'd tell em to fuck off and get on the bench, they have skill positions to play, let a rookie handle return duties, that way if he goes down you didn't lose one of your key players on either side of the ball....this goes for any team trying to have a star O/D player have return duties.

I was gonna make a trip to the indian casino to put a note on the hawks yesterday but then I found out that ca doesn't allow indian casinos to have a sportsbook...ghey, back to bovada....-6 (-220) so a win really didn't pay much...

Should have moved the spread, whadeez, then you would have made more.
again, the packers can't figure out an nfc west team and lost by 20.

lacy was possibly concussed on a big hit by chancellor that initially looked like chancellor got the worst of. gb stuck with the run game with starks; i think theyre committed to running the ball now, and aaron rodgers might not put up top 5 numbers this year even if he stays healthy.
their left tackle hurt his knee, if he misses significant time thats a problem, their backup LT missed some key blocks.

the seahawks have percy back, and lord have mercy on all their opponents. Averaged 10 yards a touch and that jet sweep was good for a 1st down everytime, with Lynch faking one way and harvin going the other. Is that a read option type play? im not sure, but it was effective. really makes a team defend sideline to sideline. harvin can stretch the field too. i dont think the niners have a burner like him on their roster.

should we just hand the division to the seahawks now? do the niners, with a depleted defense for at least the first half of the year, stand a chance at taking the west? What say you, Niners fans?

Seahawks looked really good. A lot of credit has to go to their offensive coordinator, Darrell Bevell. Their rush defense was also good.

Yeah, so... Otto you were right. I definitely should have drafted Lynch. He looked pretty damn good last night. I still think Ball will have a good year but man, Lynch might have a monster season. I don't see why he can't do what he did last night almost every week. He might even improve upon last yr's numbers.

Rodgers did not look very sharp, tons of poor throws that missed guys high, low, and wide, though to be fair he was getting hounded. I don't like Cobb returning kicks, didn't they learn last year that losing him really fucks up the flow of their offense? I understand you can't be afraid to put guys in spots but they must have another decent returner so that there 2nd best wideout doesn't have to do it in games when they're down 20? Seahawks D looked like they haven't missed a beat. Are we gonna see a repeat?

Seahawks are repeating. I'm a lions fan but Russell Wilson is my favorite Qb and Pete Carroll might be my favorite Coach. They are the next dynasty. Wow their D is scary the offense is way better with Percy Harvin healthy

Deez, I hear where ya coming from and to be honest i can see it from both sides. Like you mention don't risk an All-pro starter for a stupid special teams play. Example: Gronk breaking his arm on the PAT a couple years ago, you think belicheck ever gonna do that again? Here's the other side of the coin though having veteran guys or someone you just trust to return a punt is key to a coach. I hate to bring up this example but its a good one 49ers vs giants 2011 conference championship game. Ted Ginn is out for the game and kyle Williams fills in and fumbles twice. 9ers should've won that game and the superbowl that year IMO, and all because of 2 plays, punt returns. I think Carroll's thought is the best man for the job and he feels starter or not he trust those guys. Same thing goes for McCarthy and Cobb.

SS, Ellington was drafted so low cause he was constantly hurt in college. I like the kid and wish him nothing but health cause he can play. I love Harvin when he plays but he is frustrating to deal with, he won't stay healthy for a full season.

baba, i want to see how seattle plays on the road first before I would just hand the division over to them. They do look strong though I admit.

rasp, ball's got manning and thats all he'll needs to put up numbers. Lynch is pure beast, imagine what it's like to have to tackle him running full speed at you, that alone is probably a mild concussion. Also I think Rodgers will be just fine, playing in Seattle is like playing in New Orleans no one wins at their house.

its one game, the hawks looked like studs but let's not jump to conclusions here folks. one play can make or break seasons, harvin is harvin and lets be real, there's zero chance he's playing in 16 games this season, lynch is a beast and can account for 50% of a productive offense on his own...he looked scary good last night.

Until GB LT bolaga went out it was a game that could have gone either way...and the pack gameplanned themselves out of the whole right side of the field...and lacy was looking pretty pedestrian, starks performance was clearly more productive.

I think he 9ers come out of the first 9 games at 6-3, figuring we drop to the saints and the broncos and one more "flukey" loss, the 2 toughest games in the remainder of the season are vs the hawks, so say we split em...and go 7-1 to finish off the season @ 12-4, I don't know that it will be enough to win the division, the hawks have a weak schedule minus the broncos and division games, and their "tougher" matchups are at home for the most part...time will tell

perfect example w/ kyle Williams...if this was a playoff game and not week one of the season I'd be much more on that side of the argument, at this point in the season...not a chance.

He really should have fair caught the ball on both of those,'' coach Pete Carroll said after the game, per the Seattle Times. "He's so aggressive, he got vulnerable that second time and he got pounded that first time, too. So we will keep working on it and get better.''

That doesn't sound like a man ready to change gears and take his most vital defensive player off special teams.

Well I must say they looked exactly like they looked last yr. Except the Offense looked better and put up all of the points except the safety. They were the highly favorite to win the SB last year I have no clue why Denver is favored over them this yr? The two teams should meet again this year and Wilson will get his second while Peyton is left with 1

No seahawks fans are coming here to gloat, or are they still sleeping off the afterparty?
Maybe they don't want to jinx it.
Seems like naysayers are expecting Earl Thomas to get hurt returning punts. And if he doesn't? and if harvin stays relatively healthy, doesnt miss more than a game or two total?
After 1 game, a lot of people are expecting the hawks to repeat. But its week one, a lot can happen over the next 4 months and usually does.
