I wish someone would post the name of and a link to some Israeli guy who very clearly spells out how wrong Israel is and has been for decades. Gideon Levy or Levi David or I don't know now.... anyway, atrocity can piss anyone off and get them to briefly think of equal or greater atrocities to be committed against the enemy. More so for those living there of course. It is important at that point to step back and cool off and come to your senses as most do. The few that don't perpetuate the hatred and violence. And the loss of one good person like innocent Palestinians or this guy I mentioned can't be justified by killing 1,000 of the enemy. Peace is the only way forward, peace that is truly peace and does not punish one side into living under oppression. I am done with saying the same thing over and over when no one listens.

Lol A logical person can't have a discussion with a person who thinks, as you said,"What a handful of extremists do is not relevant to the discussion" Well yeah, it kinda is. As it's those same extremist that continue to indiscriminately launch rockets anywhere they happen to fall. with many of my Muslim friends in Jerusalem, that they clearly explained that the war is not about land, but about an extremist interpretation of Islam, that claims that God wants all Jews dead, and this is constantly being hammered into the whole of Arab society through propaganda coming out of Mosques, TV, Radio, Schools and Government.and until people in general (like the idiots at the U.N) begin to acknowledge the elephant in the room, any and all attempts to understand the reason for the wars and to find a solution, will all be in vain, as the cause of the sickness is not even identified much less addressed by those who blindly side with the underdog Palestinians, without even considering that underdogs can and are often not in the right in any way, shape or form.

as in 1946, the whole area was under the control of the British and the French (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel including the Sinai). So the borders were not defined as they are today; basically, in 1946, that shape did not exist, nor did Palestine, it was British Mandate
and before that it was under Ottoman control, and the borders were even more different.but nice try.
