The growing large plants, outdoors, thread...

Interesting to hear how everyone harvests.... I always green clean my stuff before hanging to dry. After that its popped off the stem into storage or to trim. I'm never in a hurry to hit that flooded market price.

Organic grower: Check out http://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Marijuana-Mildew, good info for organically battling PM.

On a small garden the ecosmart Lecithin should put it out in one spray, little pricey on the commercial side as they only come in 24oz bottles.

On Mandala seeds website they recommend only using Milk/water spray for PM during Veg, as it can lead to Bud rot during flower.

I am also trying the regalia product on my garden. Found some PM on a few plants so just hitting the whole garden to be safe. Will see if it works.

Hey, I've lurked and read through the first 50 pages of this thread and Butte ' s journals a million times. I'd like to make a contribution but, I don't want to seem like spam. I just picked up this new machine called the ultra trimmer (still waiting on buds to run through it). I am curious if anyone else has tried it. I'm hoping to kick all those bums/trimmers to the curb this year.

A friend bought, and just received, an Ultratrimmer and asked for his feedback after he's dialed it in a bit. He said the YouTube vid made it look easy and he's saying more than that to get it to work 'properly'. My buddy is running some of his recent 6' x 72' light dep buds through it so a solid report soon.

I wasnt a fan of the twister after watching a season outdoor buds get bronzed and rolled into balls...Although the trimintaor,... of similar design but with a few important details addressed seems to be the ticket. I had the triminator reps come out to do a demo on some fresh material and I will say its a much better design. I like that it doesnt use cooking oil on the blades, a finely sprayed and controlled amount of water to keep the blades clean.. Indeed it is pricey but def pays for itself the first time you use it. >. I also got to check out a prototype of the dry run machine they have for sale now. It did a really nice job on some small stuff that would have take an hour to trim by hand in about 5 mins. I think its geared toward the mom and pops set ups as it cannot hold much material at once...

The ppl at Triminator were super helpful and drove up from cali to do a demo for us. Family owned business, machines made by the order and in the USA. That demo sold me on it. Prior to that I was the Anti trim machine propaganda guy. :p

Ultratrimmer for dried buds and something like a Triminator for wet buds. Two totally different animals. I remember some posts by Nomaad about the sap liberated from wet trimmers and he said not good for finished product quality.

Ultratrimmer looked like its savage on the flowers.....

Would you harvest your tomatoes or melons and then beat them up? I don't know...If you want to get around trimming why not just go from Soil to Oil ??

I heard that with a MKV set up you can run through 20 lbs per day ...

Well I know you know its not the trimming its the trimmers. If we had trim ninjas that do amazing work and dont bitch and complain about anything possible. Its all gravy when the tops come down and its easy doing multiple units a day, then the seconds come off the line and nobody wants to work. Special food needs (lol allergic to onions) cigarette breaks, Drama chicks and gossip cliques. Last scene was it for me. Ill call in the small handful of good folks that do quality and appreciate the work. Theyll do tops and everything else gets the trim machine ran with hourly labor, all done in a week. It took me a long while, a shitty all women trim crew and a new machine to convince me otherwise. Nothing against all women crews this one just happened to be a shitty group...

according to Obsoul33t, a terrible pest called Dipsaci Eelworms (aka stem nematode) have been confirmed found in some outdoor plants on northern california by UC davis. They are very very hard to get rid of, anyone experience phantom deficiencies should have some stem samples sent in for testing. trying to learn more about this…anybody else heard of this?
