on the still-living-plants side, we have 2 new entries - they vegged for some time (@12/1) and about a week ago entered the hps tent (11/13): on the left is ziel-zielona's x-dog (chemdog), on the right cbd Lavender:

a small experiment: i am so lazy, i still haven't built the minibox for males, but i managed to collect some pollen from a very resinous gfxbb male (which started to flowering in veg when rootbound), and i pollinated a micro clone of a very nice unknown strain found by a friend (kinda northern lights). swollen calyxes made me happy! i really had fun in this operation... ;-)

gfxbb: i wish i never run out of this! flowering for 39 days, 3,6 lt pot...

i also have a moondog clone. stretched a lot less than her mother with multiple toppings... she's also been flowering for 39 days in a 3,6 lt pot:

a small cured joint from her mother... last one! delicious rose/ambrosia floral/balsamic aroma... this pheno is very sativa, heady relaxing buzz, perfect for daytime

i am not sure if both my psicodelicias particularly suffered the hot temps, but i wasn't impressed by neither of them. my fav is #1, spicier and cheesy, i am running her again in a very small pot, 1 lt. i'll keep both around to flower them again in the fall/winter to be sure whether to keep them or not...

hey fellows,
I have some trim and flowers in the freezer, so the other day i started making some extractions; i decided to do ice extractions, since i haven't done it in long while: i've been into oil... ;-)
i used about 20 grams of mixed Shit's trim, a couple of kilos of ice, a 12lt bucket, water, 2 Secret Smoke bags, 190 and 45 microns and a blender.
i mixed for 10 minutes, then let it rest for 10 minutes and then another 5 mins of mixing. speaking with my extractions-mentor RulaTone, i should have mixed longer, for about 30 mins at the lowest speed.
The biggest mistake i was doing in the past is that i was working the extract with my hands to let the max amount of water out... RulaTone told me this guarantees some water stays in the extract... so this time i only used a spoon to collect the extract from the 45 microns bag and placed the extract on some oven-paper (don't know if it's the right term... eheh). after one day the extract was dry so i sort of unpealed it from the paper with a knife (do you think i should have then make it into powder and wait for more drying?).
Anyways, i got a little more than 1 gram and it was really good. we smoked 4 strong joints out of it last night at a nice party. ;-) here are some pics, with flash, without and a macro... i can get better for sure, but i'm satisfied of this result. ;-)

i'm really starting to have fun in ice-making!
this is the best i ever did, so tasty! comes from ca. 10 grams of great trim from gfxbb and moondog (among the sweetest tastiest herb i did recently): the gfxbb (blueberry) aroma is the main one, combined with moondog's rose, i'm really happy!
i avoided my main mistakes of past extractions: i used a lot of ice, mixed for about 20-25 mins at minimum speed and didn't touch the extract, but i just let the most water flow out of it, collect it with a spon and then regularly break it as it was drying. tried... it's strong! :-D

That's some super clean looking ice hash, beautiful. Looks like you got a pretty nice amount from 10 grams too, nicely done. I like drysift because it's very quick and easy to do, but maybe i should try making some waterhash.

I can understand why Shit doesn't like the heat. Maybe something to do with the Swiss climate where they are made. Everything looking good as always..

thanks a lot dude! yes, this time the yeld was better, i think thanks to the greatest amount of ice i've ever used and to the proper mixing time... i have been doing oil (QWET) as well lately and loving it, but now that i made some tasty ice... i must say i'm liking it better (surely the fact i used some really nice trim from two of my favorite plants -gfxbb & moondog- helped this judgement ). i am a noob in drysift but i still have to try it properly done... next! ;-)

thanks a lot man! i still have to flower lavender x-dog (and 2 sweet tais i have in veg)... but i am planning to get some bodhi gear, i was thinking about love triangle ad lotus larry... i am curious about his stuff! i have tried a cheech wizard from a friend and it was great! i have another clone of that batch (pinesol pheno) from my good friend elprincipe (the aforementioned "friend" lol) that i just put into flower. also mental floss is in my whishlist...

hey fellas,
i'm still processing trim & flowers collected in the past moths for extractions... this time it's ethanol extraction, or QWET also known as oil. ;-)

some days ago i did the first run with some shit flowers... using coffee filters, a metal strainer, 1lt jars, a big transparent pyrex dish, a big pot, a ceramic cup, a small pot and of course a bottle of ethilic alcohol 95% (food grade).

yesterday i did another 2-runs, the first one with 30 sec extraction the second with 2 mins 30 secs. the only different thing i did was filtering from one jar to another with the filter facing inside, the filtering took place inside the freezer. maybe a little cleaner... but i did take some nice pics... ;-) here...

this thread needs some fresh air. ;-)

things are moving along... i'm happy because the seeds i ordered just arrived. a lot of nice freebies, but in the next months i will focus to find something interesting in these 4 packs (all regs): from Bodhi i got Lotus Larry (Larry OG x Snow Lotus), Mother's Milk (Nepali OG x Appalachia) and Goji OG (i got a 5-pack freebies, i'm happy! genetics is Nepali OG x Snow Lotus); from Cannaventure i got the Girl Scout Cookies mix pack (first mix pack ever for me). 15 seeds of 3 cross with this infamous strain: Larrys Lemon Cookies [electric larry land x flaming cookies (gsc x fire og)], Bubbas Urkle Cookie [(gsc x urkle cut) x bubba kush bx], Cookie Affair [(gsc x l.a. affie) x fire og aka l.a. affair].

anyways, let's get back to what's still inside the hps tent! :-D

but first i show you 2 nice clones from my favorites mums i have, ready to be put in flower (soon i have a moondog ready to be harvested).

gfxbb, this is a nice clone. twisted leaves are a feature of this bluberry dom cut

and the special cheech wizard #1 cut by my friend elprincipe. cheech wizard (from bodhi) is green curry og x snow lotus. this one should be gc og dominant... this cut comes from a batch of F2 seeds made by indabonga and first grown by elprincipe. he didn't like this plant at first: she had these taco leaves from the very beginning, a feature dispayed also on every clone taken from her... but then she turned out to be great: the end product is among the best i have ever sampled, great OG smoke. ;-) i really went light with ferts. she basically never got anything since i was afraid of these taco and dark leaves (she's sensitive to N). now i think she has a light cal/mag deficiency. yesterday i fed her with biobloom, topmax and algamic. anyways, here she is, 12 days flowering:

yes, my friend el principe said she's the most resinous plant he's ever seen... thanks for the kind words man! i'm having fun making oil and i think last batch was really good... doing the extraction inside the freezer helped. and i've just got bubbler, titanium nail, dome and dabber... i'm in orbit! cheers mate

since today i harvested a moondog (ziel zielona GGseeds) clone, i post some pics. i'm happy, it looks she yelded preatty well to be just in a 3,6 lt pot (biocanna soil). anyways, i think ziel-zielona used a sativa chem DD male: both this cross and x-dog have many sativa features... this one has chemmy aromas of rose and lemon paint. ciao!
