Funky's Nutrient Test pt 2 - GHE Ripen

great. First time using it i'd try and keep it as straightfoward as possible-just use it 10-14days before you plan to harvest-45days does sound terribly early but i don't know the cut.
The way i have used it on the past few runs, on coir, has been to give them a stiff dose (ec1.5-1-7) for a couple of days-then plain water for a day or two-watch the plants for a response-should take 3 ish days from first application-then give them another hit (1.4-1.5 ish) for a day or two-watch plants for respose etc. Basically a days or two on Ripen-alternating with the same with water. Not rocket science but if were we got the peroxide anyway

i used to sell Ripen ina shop-the sales pitch to commie growers was 'do you want some free money?' they always did-lol because it does increase the yield. I'm still in touch with some of them-and they are still using Ripen-that's why i'm having difficulty understanding how some of the ICM crew have run into problems with it-?? anyway time will tell-
stick with it

I just bought some. Will be experimenting with some OG Kush & Chemdog plants. Only thing is the plants are all sorta different sizes so not really sure how I can ensure that it's a fair test.

Especially because I am adding other new fertilisers aswell at the same time!

I think I'll wait till I have two cuttings of the same size and age so I can do a side-by-side. It will end up either being Super Lemon Haze, Volunteer or Bubblejack cos that's what I have in veg right now.

Sadly the first run ended badly when my fan failed, the plants got a big burnt so I chopped em. I'm gonna start a new Ripen experiemnt shortly hopefully.

Bugger that, unlucky mate!

I know you'll be straight back into another experiment. Im gonna run Botanicares version next time 'Ripe', i have a feeling it will perform better with MJ than the GHRipen does.!

Best of luck guys.

Any Results Yet ?

Any Results Yet ?

Great experiment, but I have heard conflicting evidence also it (ripen) is supposedly too acidic and can then burn your roots so obviously too strong, also 1 application is all that is needed to 14 days every other watering, in an attempt to bring my 8,9 and 10 weekers to harvest together I was advised to start at 7 1/2 weeks still got a few days to go but I will let you know how I get on.

Well sorry it's been a while but in answer to my own queries they all ripened at the same time got decent results, the reason for bringing the 10 weeker down early was a touch of the dreaded spider mite, but I averaged around 3 1/2 oz per plant, not bad for small indicas.
