What happens to ball valves that have been used with no lube for a while (i.e. turned on/off more than 100 times)? I'm concerned with the potential for micro lacerations to start occurring with dried out ball valves, in addition to just being really hard to turn. Anyone experienced anything close to this?
That's a good point. I'd also like to know.
You certainly don't need any unnecessary oil in your material. I've noticed a good run of "spent" & followed by a rinse, cleans out all the pieces of teflon tape, pipe dope, oil shavings..ect. from a new rig quite nicely.
The stainless sanitary valve is specified for applications requiring a low co-efficient of friction. They are designed to run dry, however will one day wear out & need to be replaced.
They pack those things in grease to prevent them sticking in storage. Especially the larger ones that require a bit more then a push.
So I finally got my vacuum hose, gauge and coupler yesterday and was able to finally pressure test the Terpp unit. The site glass is leaking like a sieve. Anyway to tighten them up?
icdog, do you resell these guys extractors in canada? or just make a knock off
