Levi's...which one is your favorite?

Mine is a 527 Boot Cut, what's your fave?

This pair I have is over ten year's old, the knees wore out a few years ago and they are now cut down to shorts. I still wear these often but are starting to hole out in lots of places. When it's cooler weather I need to buy a new pair of Levi's, maybe I'll try 501's, but years ago when I last tried 501's I found them too low in the waist and too tight in the crotch..do the standard 501's stretch or shrink after washing and wearing them for a while?

DEFINITELY, the old 501's... w/ buttons. They changed their form....bummer!! Always durable, long lasting.

Liked the relaxed fit carpenter, too!!

I like the 550 Relaxed fit personally. I also like Wranglers, the way they fit/feel, but will not wear or buy a pair until they figure out they need to put deeper pockets in them.

501's

The reason I got hooked on Levi's was because they were the only ones I could find that fit me way back when. At one point I wore a 30 x 36. Try finding those. Many times I had to have them ordered.

I just checked the Levi's website...it's interesting to read the reviews, lots of reviewers say the quality of the denim is not as good as it was. A mate of mine has a 25 or 30 year old pair of 501's..faded to a light blue, not still thick and strong...

they don't make em like they used to could be said of just about everything nowadays.

I've owned button up Levi's before but it takes forever to unbutton and button up when taking a piss than zippers do...maybe I should start another thread "Levi's, button or zippers?" lol

Got that right. When I was a kid you got a new pair of jeans and they would damn near stand up by themselves. Wash em a few time before they quit turning your legs and underwear blue. lol Used to last forever. Now with the lesser thread count they don't.

I've only worn long pants a dozen or so times in the past year ( 12 months ) and when I did it was stretchie type cotton drawstring pants and once I wore khaki's.

The rest of the time I'm in short pants, topsides and a tshirt.

Ahh the life of a professional does have it's demands:biggrin:

Levi's was a big Occupy Wall street supporter. For that reason I choose to shop with other companies.

Didn't know that. Good thing my 550 and 501's were before Occupy. Agreed, the design is different, material (probably outsourced) isn't the same.

Luckily, still have jeans from a decade ago. Some patched, others ripped, others way back on the rack.

Levi's makes a great cargo pant, I know I own a pair. If they support causes whose ideas I believe in, all the better......
