Hi this is my first indoor soil grow i was looking for some advice. I plan on growing atleast 5 plants. For seedlings and clones i have a t-5, a 400 watt MH for vegatative and a 600 watt HPS for flowering. For soil im using Fox farm ocean forest, and for a base nutrient im using advanced nutrients iguana juice. Im going to be growing the plants in 5 gallon buckets. Any advice?? Help me out thanks! :thank you:

sounds like ya have a start the t5 awesome for veg keep it slammed on top of the plants. how are you going to cool and dehumidify the room? also air flow is important get some fans to blow your bushes like a good breeze lol. dont over water do they weight test lift your buckets when they feel pretty light than ya water. (before wilting) also youll need at least a ph meter to make sure ya keep the ph were it needs to be.

also dont for get to water with straight water i would say feed feed water meaning that as your plant need water the first two times ya feed nutes then 3rd time plain phed water.

What strain / strains are you gonna grow? I've heard FFOF can be a bit on the hot side. I've used their Light Warrior before and it definitely needed to be cut not to burn seedlings. I'm changing my setup now but the easiest grows I've ever done were with a coco/perlite mix in hempy buckets with GH nutrients.

The strains im growing is The church from greenhouse seeds and UFO #1. Im going to have 4 church plants and one UFO. Do you think i should start it with something else?

im pretty baked right now but lets see if i can function enough for this right now lol.
cooling can be done by venting or a.c depending on were you live venting may not be an option. depending on the heat ya deal with. if your venting your intake holes need to big twice what your intake is. you basically want to have negative pressure to eliminate smell leaks. there are a bunch of good threads on here for that.
sealed room with ac is what i use to control smell i run a charcoal scrubber. umm what else did you ask umm nutes uhh well so many to pick from and not my strong point mabey somone else will chim in but advanced nutes are friendly and simplel with good results. you veg with one set of nutes then bloom with another set a & b mix. in mid to late flower you can get boosters. im now using bloombastic for that. if ya want some thing easier aqua flakes makes a two part that is for veg and grow. feeding at a low ix in early veg and slowly increasing it as you move through growth. feeding sched is nutes nutes water as i mention earlier.

as far as lighting sched veg 18 to 24 hrs of light to keep them in veg then depending on the size you want your plants determines how long the veg is . then flip to12 on 12off sched to start flowering.

I would suggest a tent. 4X4 Darkroom 120...get yourself an aircooled hood..and a 6" inline fan..and a carbon scrubber for odor.

You need to think about these things now, The peace of mind will be worth the $ 500 you are going to spend on this stuff. Also, it will allow you to do many grows, so the cost really gets less and less each time..until one grow...you actually start to make a profit.

The worst thing in the world...is to freak out mid grow...because your plants are wreaking. It happened to me...and I freaked...and threw perfectly good female plants away.

Be smart...and good luck!
