Growing right along.

The season is changing. Sadly summer is almost over.
It's been long and hot!

The plants are starting to transition now. Some are starting to bud. Others will be in the next 2 weeks.

I've been shredding the plants like never before.
Cleaned out all the insides and other little nodes.
It has taken me the better part of the week to do.

The plants are doing really good.
Keepin up with pest management has paid off.
Clean, no pests really.
Just a little thrip damage from before on some. The thrips are gone now.
Hoping to keep the mites away for the rest of the season!

Getting some leaf drop but its expected as the plants shift gears and move some nutrients.

Some nice Sativa's in the garden here!

I would imagine 9 - 12 there croptober. Extremely tight internodes. Over 10' tall at finish.
Great health. Pest managment is in check.
The runt might yield 6 or 7. Dudes rocking Mendocino County!!!
Ya....thats my take on it.

If hes only getting 5 per, then I better cut my expectations on my garden waaaaay back.
Cuz mines are only 1/3 of the size.

Beautiful, mendo. Absolute monsters. Avenue of the GIANTS indeed!

It was a brutally hot summer here. Measured temps up to 110°F last week, but the seaso. Is definitely transitioning and the girls are well on their way.

Heres a quick question: How do you get inside those plants to clean them out with those cages around them? You have shears on a stick or something? lol

You've got a beautiful thing going on man. Stunningly beautiful.

Great job mendo you got some monsters. How much does one of those yield 4-5#?

I don't count chickens.
The season aint over yet!
Some plants are 11' now and its only September.

We have all seen how much growth I get it 1 month.
I cant imagine what will happen over the next 2 months.
:dance013:

Its a real pain in the ass.
I just use a sharp knife, reach in and start shredding, 800 gallon ninja style!

 I can imagine! The ultimate american ninja warrior lol

What I did was try to thin them out before putting the outer support trellising on them to try to help me out. Its still a pain in the ass, and I have nowhere near the size of those giants you have.

Keep it up man. Your hard work is clearly evident.

Would you say a 400 or 800 Gallon Smart pot would fit as a raised bed outdoors? should be a bit stealth hidden :) would this work?

Do you fill the smart pots using a backhoe or something mechanized, or is it all people power ?

That is a lot of dirt !

25 x 800 gallons ... 25 x 100 cubic feet -

almost 100 cubic yards.

plus, mixing it ... Jeez.

Have you worn out any cement mixers mixing up the soils ?

:woohoo:

The 800's are 125 cubic feet or 4.5 yards.
I only wear out my arms every spring!
The pots are amended by hand.

I upgraded this garden from 400's' to 800's.
Filling the pots was a lot of work.
Yes I used a machine to fill them with 1/2 used dirt and 2.5 yard totes.

Its over 100 yards of dirt. That was mixed by hand.
