As soon as I smoke it I will give a smoke report, I promise. Probably won't happen tonight, but soon enough. :)

Here's the top bud:

I haven't shown this Northern Skunk pheno before. There are 2 plants exhibiting this strange flower formation. Here's one of them:

Here's the other:

This next one I haven't really shown either, but it's actually been standing out to me all along... Literally! She is officially the tallest plant in the entire garden now, having recently surpassed the tallest SS. She is also becoming quite colorful, and it appears she will be the largest yielder of them all. This is apparently a sativa-leaning phenotype of Northern Skunk:

But while we're talking about the NS, I also need to show the most colorful one of them all, which will probably be harvested next, and is already on the list of keepers. So beautiful!

Next up is the tallest Sweet Skunk, and up to recently had been the tallest plant in the whole garden. This is the only plant I've had to stake up because it was leaning. I don't think its stem is as sturdy as the NS. But this is apparently a sativa pheno, and it should be a large yielder:

Last but not least, here is that beautiful, dark-purple one, basking in the artificial Sun:

^ Right now, based on the size of the tall sativa pheno, I can already tell you that yes, it is. I don't sell, so I guess I don't know for sure what qualifies as cash crop, but if I was buying, and this is what was being sold to me, I would be like "Um, I'll take all you got." :D

So, I have a preliminary smoke report for y'all...

Last night after dinner I was manicuring the lower buds and I decided to go ahead and smoke some. I ended up smoking a couple of bowls worth, because it tasted real nice, so I probably got way higher than I normally would, but this shit is FIRE! It has just enough of a head high to constantly remind me that I'm high, but the feeling is mostly in the body. It's a very nice body high, actually! Highly euphoric! I was vibrating all over as I laid down to sleep. Now, because I smoked shortly before I went to bed, I can't comment too much on a lot of the effects. I mean, I was already sleepy, and I was laying down in bed watching "How Stuff Works" so I wasn't up and about, and can't comment on how couch-locky it is, or anything like that. But as a bedtime smoke it was everything I could ask for... MORE, actually, since I wasn't expecting that lovely euphoric body buzz!

All I know is I felt fantastic last night, and I woke up this morning not feeling hungover or still stoned, like I've experienced in the past with strains such as White Widow and Point of No Return.

I've had the same reaction, its very powerful. Try making some tincture with it using Everyclear 190 and then use it, Wow. I used five drops of it on some already that I had been smoking on, the NS [grown and jarred a few years ago] was already half used up in the vaporizer, knocked my socks off last night. I get a sweet piney taste from my old stuff, very mild tasting but I water cure a lot of it because of lung problems. What a beautiful grow you've had, really a nice report. Oh, if you're smoking the tincture let the alcohol dissipate first in the vaporizer, about 5 seconds with the fan going gets rid of the alcohol taste.

Thanks dude. Your description of the taste is spot on, by the way. I was using the exact same two words: sweet and piney. It's definitely got a pine like reminiscence to it, but it's sweet instead of "turpentiney" or fuelly like a lot of pine tasting stuff can be. That's how it smells, too. I would say that the way it tastes is exactly the way it smells. Very good stuff! :D

Oh, and I plan on making a batch of QWISO with all the trim. I can't wait!

Wow Hush you did it again... nice looking top bud! Do you trim it thin to look like a thai stick? Or is that how slender the spears are?

It's how slender *this* spear is, not all of them. But no I didn't trim it to look this way. That's just how it looked when I finished manicuring. Remember, this was the smallest of all the Northern Skunks.

Thats some pro manicuring there! Good looking. I would say the same thing if just going off of bag appeal.. "give me all you got"... lol. Never had the NS.... looks like the old school though which is great! Spears instead of nugs...

^ Absolutely. This was just a quick run for mother selection. Typically I veg for 4 to 6 weeks before initiating flowering. Next time each of these strains is run there will be less plants with more veg. :tiphat:

Oh man it's hard to say without having sampled the Sweet Skunk yet. It depends on the high from the SS. If the SS gets me medicated better than the NS, then probably that one. But I'm expecting the NS to be more indica than the SS, and that's really what I need the most of for my ailments.

Great im asking these question because seeing your thread is the first i heard of peak seeds and your grow convince me that they have some solid beanss i love blueberry but it doesnt seems like you have much interest in them as NS or SS

Been smoking Northern Skunk from Peaks for a few years and have often wondered what the THC count was on it, has to be way up there. Must be mostly a Sativa because I don't get paranoid on it like I do with Peaks Northern Lights which makes me see people sneaking up on me from behind and hearing voices that no one else hears.

^ That's funny because it's the opposite for me... Sativas get me tripping, and indicas just make me feel heavy and slow. But obviously there's a wide spread in between all of that, lol. Yeah I've got various phenos, of both strains, that will probably vary in their effects too. So I need to smoke them all to really know which ones I will end up keeping, and then which ones lean more into the indica side of the spectrum.

No, I'm actually real excited about the BB but you're right that it doesn't seem that way from this thread. But that's mostly because they are kind of boring in relation to the other strains, so the other ones just upstage the BBs. I am only interested in selecting a mom from the BBs so this grow hasn't been tailored to their liking. I'm specifically looking to select the blueberry smelling ones and then reveg those and grow them out again, in clone form, to really see what these are all about. I only really ordered the BB so that i could breed with one. And to make F2 seeds to save in my seed vault. To really find a good Blueberry-esque plant I'm actually expecting Skunkberry to come through for me, which is the next strain I'm growing out. Blueberry inbred lines tend to be small and relatively unproductive, so I think a good cross with Skunk would probably fit the bill. I will find out soon enough.
