One the one hand, you say that the market will be satisfied by mid grade, deny that concentrates & blends can satisfy demand for more potent product in the same breath.

90% of the market will be satisfied by the mid-grade. The other 10% won't have a product to purchase. I know friends in that 10% who have taken a shot at growing and just can't do it. Not up the standards of the product they prefer to consume, at least.

BHO and oils won't satisfy people like me, no. I don't like BHO and oils as much as I like bud. BHO and oils are TOO STRONG, bro. You can't go around smoking that shit all day the way you can with good bud. Extracts aren't practical consumer products. Am I going to take my BHO rig to the golf course? Whip out the butane torches and take a dab on the tee box? Aside of the lack of practicality I just don't like the effect as much.

You demand pics, furnish none of your own

I don't need to furnish pics showing examples of top shelf California OG. They're all over the forum.

Again, we aren't comparing Colorado weed to weed I personally grow. We are comparing Colorado weed to the best weed grown in California. If we were talking about weed in my garden, then there would be a reason for me to post pics. But, we're not.

How many times am I going to need to explain until it sinks your head?

, then claim they don't matter anyway. When apparently legit big growers provide their input, like ColoradoOG, you simply pretend that never happened, demand that such input needs to happen for valid argument to exist.

ColoradoOG posted examples that he believed were "top shelf." He wasn't here providing information on the industry, the way you're attempting to do. He was here trying to provide examples of what I was requesting. That was his only function in the thread.

So, maybe it was you who pretended that never happened. Because his information didn't support your argument.

If you were honestly interested in becoming a legal CA grower, you'd approach the whole thing in a different manner. You'd be trying to find out which localities are most friendly to what you want to do, what you need to do to satisfy the requirements, how to enter the network of people who supply MMJ outlets in CA. You'd be trying to make friends, not alienate people with bullshit & bluster.

I already know that information.

If you were interested in helping the cannabis community... you would acknowledge the flaws of your system and take proactive steps at changing them. Not spend fucking 50 pages defending those flaws.glgl

There're aren't rules on tomato plants or other flowering / fruit baring plants.

There aren't rules on tomato plants because tomatoes don't effect your ability to judge distances properly after consuming them.

Just because I was born into an era of insanity doesn't mean I'll buy into their delusion. The government can stay the fuck away from my body, my garden, and my property!

:joint:

I agree. Fuck the government. But, unfortunately we live in a country of 300 million people who don't feel the same way, and the government will remain in tact, as a result.

We're better off forming a system where both parties can be satisfied. A system that preserves the traditions of cannabis horticulture and breeding. Which, I believe is a taxation system of voluntary compliance for residential growers and mandatory compliance for commercial growers. Not mandatory compliance for commercial growers and "fuck off" for residential growers who are responsible for making cannabis the genetically diverse substance it is today. Which, is what the current model revolves around.

Without even knowing what it is, just by looking at a picture you automatically make the determination that what Seaf0ur had shown is total bullshit. And then you can't stop there you go on to insult the fuck out the guy. Seriously what kind of fucking moron are you? A critical thinker you are not.

In order for me to be insulted, I would first need to respect the opinion of the insulting idiot. This guy clearly is a loud mouthed fraud.. In my world guys like him are considered food.

Forget about him just dismissing my GG4 & GP Purps... My closet breedings for one, cannot even happen, and for two, will never amount to shit... I should just quit now. I mean... I dont use nutes or bud hardeners or pgr's or nothin... just water and my soil mix.. perhaps an occasional tea... how could I possibly stand up to his extremely high standard showcased in all his pics of his grow LMFAO.

The way he so easily can dismisses repetitive civilian murders at law enforcements hands...
now that just screams that he's a cold hearted callous LEO

He's admitted that he isn't reading opposing viewpoints... so, he would not change his position, even if the facts presented make it make sense for him to do so. Therefore, this non-discussion is a waste of everyones time.

hmmmm. pot does not affect my depth perception nor my ability to drive safely, your results may vary, LOL!. your comments on a taxation system for ALL do resonate with me, although I don't think one should have to pay taxes on something YOU produce that YOU will consume (just as with beer or wine). I do believe that if you are going to grow indoor that your electric work should be inspected for safety (if not done by a licensed electrician). a graduated tax wherein someone growing for themselves only ( $50-$100 a year to cover elec. inspection ) growing to sell at farmers markets etc ($250 or ???) & commercial should be based on how much they produce & sell through the outlets/dispensaries. My electrical was done by myself but the plans got OK'd by Rives.....does that count ?

BHO in my glass globe vape is the stealthiest safest most practical way to get high in my state, in which I'd get thrown in the clink and fired from my job if I got caught with weed....

You've criticized some pretty strong, connected growers as if they were inexperienced compared to you...and you don't know about vape pens?

It's unremarkable that a fraud like yourself wouldn't know about vape pens. They're all the rage around here. So discreet, particularly since they're also widely used for nicotine.

Short memory, huh? Forgot what you said earlier, I suppose. That happens a lot when people are dishonest. You said you were a grower of top shelf, not just a consumer pretending to be a grower pretending to have an airlift pipeline straight to Snoop's stashman. Any 16 year old knucklehead posting from his Mom's basement can do that.

His information supported the idea that CO would support top shelf producers & that he probably is one, unlike your fatuous blathering. He's been a member since 2010, doesn't post a lot, but he shares his experience, helps people get it right. Where's your vast experience?

I already know that information.

Like everything else you've posted, you apparently just believe that you know.

If you were interested in helping the cannabis community... you would acknowledge the flaws of your system and take proactive steps at changing them. Not spend fucking 50 pages defending those flaws.glgl

Heh. I've supported NORML with donations since its founding in 1970, probably since before your mama was born. In recent years, I've switched to the Marijuana Policy Project because I think they're more effective. I also donated to The Campaign to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol organization. My representatives at every level from city council to the US Senate have received my views on the subject.

Obviously, teen angst whining on an internet forum is pretty ineffective, particularly from self important posters like yourself.

That's it right there. I went to hawaii recently and half the people in the hotel had brought them on the plane. You can toke anywhere if you have BHO. Folk in their 40s and 50s sitting around the pool toking up and the people sunbathing right next to them were none the wiser. Unfortunately selling straight concentrates is illegal under I-502, but you can sell hash infused products including vapor cig juice. Dabs are going out and e-cigs are coming in around here.

And I wouldn't insult ColoradoOG... he's probably making a pretty penny doing what he's doing and it seems like he knows how to do it well. What's your job?

Police perform ‘simulated drug raid’ on 5th graders; child attacked by K9
A "drug awareness" event turned out to be more of a "police state" conditioning drill for a group of 5th graders.
Police Chief Clint McQueen revealed that police deliberately planted drugs on an 11-year-old boy in order to make the raid appear more realistic.

Mother of three negligently shot in the head during botched drug raid
The American Drug War claimed another casualty when a woman was shot in the head while sitting on a couch by an incompetent police officer, who fired his weapon through an exterior wall prior to raiding the home.
It would be impossible for a “malfunction” to wound Barrows if Sgt. McKnight were following basic safety guidelines. The muzzle of his gun should not be aiming at a home, nor should his finger have been near the trigger. By his negligence alone did Barrows get shot.

Prisoner freed after serving 15 years for baggie of marijuana seeds
A Jamaican family is reunited after years of injustice at the hands of the United States government.
Activists, pro bono super lawyers and a federal prosecutor joined forces to free a 57 year old man after serving 15 years of a 30 year prison sentence for possessing a baggie of marijuana seeds.

Woman experiences DEA raid at 5:00AM after shopping for indoor gardening supplies
A woman became the subject of an investigation when she was observed shopping for indoor gardening supplies at a hydroponics store. Police and federal agents began staking out the woman’s home, sifting through her garbage, and monitoring her electricity usage.
(DEA) had been staking out Midwest Hydroganics to attempt to bust citizens who grow unauthorized plants without government permission. Angela Kirking was witnessed exiting the store “carrying a green plastic bag containing unknown items” on September 17, 2013, the Shorewood Patch reported. The bag contained organic fertilizer for her hibiscus flowers.

Based only on the woman’s shopping habits, an investigation was launched that lasted nearly a month.

Police began spying on Kirking’s utility bills. They discovered that her electricity usage was “consistently higher” than her neighbors. Officers were then sent to sneak around the outside of her property at 4:15 a.m. to dig through her trash. According to The Shorewood Patch, the garbage-pickers reportedly found “multiple green plant stems” that smelled strongly of “green cannabis.”

This evidence was enough to make the police and prosecutors believe that her home may contain the forbidden cannabis plant. A few days later, a paramilitary team of plant enforcers was assembled to arrest Mrs. Kirking.

CPS snatched infant because of legal medical marijuana prescription
"Why are you doing this?" the mom cried as government agents coldly took away her family.
NAPA, CA — A man was placed into handcuffs, a woman sobbed uncontrollably, and their 11-month-old boy was seized by social workers and put into foster care — all because of legally prescribed medical marijuana. It didn’t matter that no law had been broken; Child Protective Services has the power to split apart families in an instant without a trial, and regularly does across the country.

The commonly-used cannabis plant is an easy target for child-snatching agencies — even if it is legal. The agency can deem virtually anything “abusive” or “neglectful” at their discretion. The targets of CPS are punished first, then attempt to prove their innocence later. The American tradition of treating people as if they are “innocent until proven guilty” is lost on CPS.

“There are families out there … destroyed over a medicinal plant,” said Hillyer to CNN. “It’s baffling.”

Baffling — yet the stories are numerous.

Police use battering ram to break into innocent grandmother’s apartment as she slept
“I thought someone was breaking in to rob or kill me.”
A 75-year-old grandmother was terrified when she awoke to armed intruders beating down her door with a battering ram. The men then claimed to be police and started interrogating her about drugs, telling her that she was under arrest. Despite going to the wrong address, the grandmother says she was never given an apology, nor has the department offered to replace her busted door.

Florida man and his dog killed by SWAT team during pre-dawn no-knock raid
"They came in the back door. Why shoot an unarmed person? Now he's fighting for his life."
A man was fatally shot during a pre-dawn SWAT raid on his home because of suspected drug possession. The homeowner succumbed to his wounds after 11 days of struggling for his life. SWAT also killed his dog and beat up his son.

At approximately 6:00 a.m., the Hallandale Police Department’s SWAT team broke through the back door of a local residence because they suspected that the owner possessed prohibited substances.

Precisely what took place inside is not fully known, but the May 8th raid resulted in the homeowner being shot, his son being beaten, and his 13-year-old dog being killed.

Texas teen faces potential life sentence in prison for illegal marijuana brownie recipe
A young man’s baked goods could potentially land him with a harsher punishment than a rapist or a murderer. The teen faces a a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted of using unsanctioned ingredients in his cookies and brownies and selling them to eager customers.
When charging people with drug offenses involving baked goods, Texas law allows police to use the weight of the entire finished product when determining the severity of charge. Even if a trace amount of marijuana was used in a recipe for a pan of brownies, police use the collective weight of all the ingredients — eggs, butter, chocolate, sugar, frosting — and use that figure as the total weight of the “drug” they confiscated.

Police say that the baked goods and ingredients seized from Jacob Lavoro’s apartment weighed 660 grams — or 1.45 pounds. In the Texas “justice” system, this amount of illegal plant material carries a weighty sentence.

Police charged Lavoro with the possession, manufacture, and delivery of a controlled substance in a “Penalty 2 Group.” With a weight of nearly a pound and a half, the 1st Degree Felony charge carries a sentence of 5 years to life in prison.

SWAT team throws concussion grenade into baby playpen during no-knock raid
The sleeping baby received the blast of to concussion grenade directly in the chest and face. He received serious, disfiguring burns and is now in a coma. The blast scorched a 2-foot hole in the playpen.
Alecia-Phonesavanh-2.jpg

A SWAT team crashed through a family’s door in the middle of the night and threw a concussion grenade into a baby’s playpen during a horribly botched drug raid. A 19-month-old baby was horribly disfigured and is now struggling to survive after it exploded in his face.

The armed berserkers were raiding the home on a suspicion that someone inside had used substances without government permission. To make sure that all the wannabe-warriors go home safe at night, they attack their prey in the middle of the night and use incendiary devices to “distract” (and sometimes maim) the occupants.

Innocent man arrested, jailed 10 days for having same name as drug suspect
Man loses his job, his reputation, and nearly his home after a botched arrest.
This case clearly illustrates the point that anyone — innocent or guilty — can be the target of government’s eager efforts to imprison Americans; the police state is not only felt by criminals. Those who turn a blind eye toward overzealous policing fail to recognize how easy it is to be subjected to a false accusation, a wrongful arrest, or a downright corrupt prosecution effort.

No-knock SWAT raid leaves Texas father dead, family traumatized
"When they came in, they had their weapons drawn like we were members of a drug cartel.”
The raid took place on May 16th, 2013. So-called “Zero Tolerance Officers” from the Fort Worth Police Department staged raid on a suspected “drug house” with the intent of rounding up and imprisoning people for getting high without government permission.

Video shows Mr. Darden being tasered at least twice — not because officers feared for their safety, but as a compliance tool. His body was painted with red laser dots, before a pop was heard as the sharp prongs of the device were thrust into his flesh. Sixteen seconds later, police jolted him again. Each jolt lasted for 5 seconds.

Witnesses said he was not resisting at all, only trying to breathe.

“He had his hands behind his back the whole time. But me and about five other people were hollering the whole time, ‘He cannot breathe like that. Please handcuff him on his side,’” said Randle. “But they ignored us and Tased him.”
Officers successfully handcuffed Mr. Darden, and eventually propped his limp body up into the sitting position. But he didn’t have long to live. Jermaine “DJ” Darden was pronounced dead at the hospital. He left behind a wife and 2 teenage sons. He was found with nothing illegal in his possession.

Cop shoots unarmed great-grandfather at family picnic, faces no consequences
"We are left with the belief that police have a license to kill."
Two police officers crashed a family cookout to harass a man who was not wanted or suspected of any crimes, then shot the man’s elderly father and allegedly planted a gun on him, according to numerous witnesses.

Shaun Monroe was not wanted for any crimes and had no warrants for his arrest. There was no tangible or legal reason that the police should have been harassing him, yet officers were told that if they ever saw him carrying a black bag, that they should stop and search him because the bag “probably contained drugs.” On the afternoon of Friday, February 20th, 2009, two officers intruded upon a family cookout for exactly that reason.

Texas grandmother, autistic man held at gunpoint in wrong-door police raid
Thomas says that she and her son were forced to crouch in the living room as the intruders threatened them and demanded drugs. Of course, they were no ordinary drug-seeking intruders. They were sent by the Houston Police Department.
A woman and her disabled son were held at gunpoint when police breached their security door and raided their home looking for narcotics. They found none, since they were raiding the wrong address.

Police burst into wrong apartment, shoot innocent woman hiding in closet
"I told them I was afraid and do not shoot me, and one officer screamed at me to put my hands above my head... That's when I heard the shot."
Iyanna Davis, age 22 at the time, resided in the upper-floor apartment and was hiding in a closet after hearing the violent commotion in the downstairs living unit. She stated that she did not know the intruders were police officers and assumed the home was being targeted by criminal home invaders.

The officers had split up at this point and only Officers Capobianco and Campbell were on the upper floor searching Davis’ apartment. Versions of what happened next varied between police and the innocent tenant. The result was Officer Capobianco firing his rifle at Ms. Davis, striking her with a single bullet that traveled through her breast, abdomen, and both thighs.

Police made various claims about the shooting, including an assertion that Ms. Davis had jumped out of the closet, as well as another version that claimed she held the closet door shut as cops tried to open it from the outside, causing clumsy officer Capobianco to fall down and negligently discharge his rifle. The victim’s story, however, included her pleading for her life.

The indisputable facts of the case held that Ms. Davis had nothing to do with the investigation, yet she ended up being shot while unarmed in her own home by a police officer who should never have been there. Despite this breathtaking display of negligence and incompetence, the department investigated itself and cleared its officers of any wrongdoing.

Police kill innocent pastor as he helped out impoverished woman
Beloved minister and father-to-be senselessly killed in the Drug War.
A Georgia pastor was gunned down by police in his vehicle at a gas station during a botched sting over $50 worth of drugs. The pastor had nothing to do with drugs; he was giving a ride and money to an impoverished woman in his community.

No drugs were found in Ayers’ vehicle or in his possession. An autopsy showed no drugs in his system. He was a complete bystander to the investigation — an investigation over a possible transaction involving $50 worth of drugs.

Unarmed New Hampshire man shot in the head with a shotgun during botched drug sting
"'Stop or I’ll shoot' is not the law of the land," remarked a local commentator.
A “poorly planned” sting operation left an unarmed New Hampshire man dead; shot behind the wheel in the bloody and unnecessary War on Drugs. Despite evidence that contradicted officers’ claims about having their lives endangered, the shooters were not fired and faced no legal consequences.

Attorney General Joseph Foster investigated the shooting, and remarked that “there was no indication that DeJesus was armed or likely to be armed at the time of the incident.” He also noted that some evidence disputed Officer Nadeau’s contention that he thought the car was going to hit him or Kelley.

The AG discovered that the officer who fired the shotgun, Nicholas Nadeau, had been on duty for 25 of the previous 29 hours at the time of the shooting. He also called the operation “ill-conceived” and “rash and poorly-planned.”

Nonetheless, the attorney general declined to press charges against either officer, saying that he was “unable to determine whether or not Nadeau’s conduct was justified,”

Terminally-ill man charged with felonies for treating himself with marijuana
"If I'm found guilty at all, I'm a dead man. I'm lucky I'm not dead already."
A man with terminal cancer of the blood vessels is being put on trial for growing marijuana plants that he used to ease his suffering. If he survives long enough to be convicted, he could face 3 years in prison, which he believes will be a certain death sentence.

Angiosarcoma is one of the rarest and most aggressive forms of cancer. It accounts for only 0.1% of all adult cancers, and only 30% of patients survive more than 5 years, according to Angiosarcoma Awareness, Inc.

There is no known cure for angiosarcoma. The best option that modern medical science can offer is to pump the patient with toxic chemicals intravenously and hope that the cancer dies before its host. For pain, patients are offered harsh, addiction-forming pharmaceutical painkillers.

Some patients turn to cannabis to naturally help with pain management and increasing appetite. But the government contends that anyone who possesses the plant without permission is a criminal.

Mr. Mackenzie is now on trial himself. As if the situation were not unjust enough, the defense team is being gagged from discussing the illness or the reason he was growing the marijuana in front of the jury.

Violent SWAT raid leaves St. Paul family traumatized, two pets shot dead
Arman’s girlfriend Camille, who is 8-months pregnant, ran frantically to protect their two sons, ages 4 and 7. She contends that the sleeping children were directly in the line of fire with the attacks from police, as they shot her dog as it retreated.
A SWAT team left a family traumatized and mourning the loss of two beloved family pets that were abruptly gunned down in their living room during a surprise morning raid. In the wake of their devastation, police walked away with enough evidence to issue a $200 ticket.

Mr. Arman admits that he uses marijuana recreationally, but there was no need to breach his door and shoot up his home.

The warrant stated that police were to seize drugs and weapons. The officer responsible for providing the supporting affidavit to acquire the search warrant was Officer Matthew Severance.

The police recovered a water pipe and some marijuana residue. According to Minnesota law, small amounts of marijuana are considered petty misdemeanors, and are punished with at $200 fine. Cops also made off with some of Arman’s clothes and some of his cash.

Marijuana raid leaves unarmed New Orleans man dead in his home
Removing one trigger-happy cop from the streets will not slow the violence of tyrannical prohibition laws.
On the evening of March 7, 2012, members of New Orleans PD’s 3rd District narcotics unit broke down the door of the Allen family with a battering ram. They were there to serve a warrant related to marijuana crimes. As police stormed the family home, several officers poured into the lower floor and others took to the staircase. Wendell Allen, 20, heard the swearing and shouting of intruders and left his bedroom and appeared at the top of the stairs. Officer Joshua Colclough, ascending the staircase, saw Allen, raised his gun and put a bullet through his chest.
Police found around 4.5 ounces of cannabis in the home allegedly belonging to Allen’s brother David and his acquaintance Brandon Boles. The forbidden plants were off the street at last.

Best Cali has?

Best Cali has?

I'm not getting it from a dispensary owner. The guy I get it from flies to Cali on daddy's plane once a week and ships back pounds of the best of the best. The dude is fucking loaded. Son of some Def Jam records executive. Friends with all the Cali rappers. Snoop Dog, Berner, etc. That's why we're getting access to the best Cali weed. These aren't people who bullshit around with mediocre product.

I'm getting Girl Scout Cookies straight from Cookie Fam in the Bay. Not a dispensary trying to pawn off a knockoff like you see Girl Scout Cookies growers on this forum doing. I get the original cut of Girl Scout Cookies straight from the people who developed it. I'm one of the few people on this forum who does.

I'm sorry to butt in on this.. but I have to.. especially after the weekend I have had. I have access to "the best Cali weed"... I used to live close to the Emerald triangle for over 25 years.

There is a flaw in your comment. You think because people have scads of money they have access to connoisseur smoke. Up until very recently, the best smoke I have ever had was in the coffee shops in Amsterdam. What was grown in my (then) home state of Calif didnt hold a candle to it.

That was nearly 25 years ago I was there. Since then, I came back to the states and pretty much didnt smoke. It wasnt the same. What was in Northern Calif was nothing compared to Amsterdam. Why smoke? It was always a disappointment because I was always comparing it to Amsterdam's finest.

I began growing a few months ago. I just love growing things.

A grower friend told me that he would "lift me into enlightenment" when he came to visit. So.. several months later he comes over and has a single blunt. This guy can smoke two or three blunts a night, so I had my first clue.

It was fire. It was better than Amsterdam. I was stunned. In over 25 years of access to smoke, taking a puff here and there, being around LOTS of people who smoked, I had never had anything like this in the USA, only in Amsterdam.

The thing is... if you have never had it, and you think the best smoke is sold to people who have big money, think again. The best growers keep elite strains. You dont know who you are talking to when you are talking to someone on ICC. They may have fire, they may be a master grower, or they may be reading the information off the lable of a bottle of nutes, you just do not know!

But to think the best smoke comes from Cali? No, I am sorry, but thats not true. That just tells me you have never been "enlightened." I know guys that grow up and down the state of Cali, and nothing holds a candle to what is in my city.

How can you develop an honest opinion without sampling it. Looks don't mean shit. Just further goes to the point of you being a moron. FWIW, I hate GSC and tossed it in favor of better. But others love it so more power to them. Pot is subjective as to who like what.

You've nailed it, resin... just a pity that this guy cant understand that pot is subjective.

Strains really dont matter, because no matter what strain you grow, if you are testing ONE set of flowers by one grower, that doesnt cement what a strain is. Stabilized strains don't happen for a while, so what you are really doing is testing the skill of the grower, IMHO.

There is just something to be said about a strain when a mason jar can't even contain the smell. I can smell this shit walking down the hall, outside of bedroom, and it's closed up in a jar tightly. You better take extra precautions if you drive with this shit in the car. It's a pain in the ass. It really is. Good luck smoking it without your neighbors knowing. This shit will stink up the whole block. It's no wonder why more people don't fuck with growing it. I don't see what good Carbon Filters would do.

You just don't see that problem with anything coming from Colorado.

Ok.. thus pegs the bullshit meter.

If you can smell your flowers then screw the lid on tighter! Use a brand new rubber gasket! Sheesh! Get a CVault! If it stinks up the whole block, then the neighbors will be calling the police on you daily, and clearly you arent in jail, so that didnt happen either... omg... can you just pull your head out of your ass? geez...

But JeanGreens, dude's got the most top shelf cannabis in the world... That degree of quality is so atmospheric that the terpene molecules can't even follow the laws of physics... They create a singularity of top-shelf-ness that causes a worm hole to open up and the aromas actually permeate the glass bringing the hyperspatial molecules right directly into everyone's nostril holes.

Oh wait... Never mind... The lid wasn't on all the way.
