If your feeding with softened water.yes you will have problems because I do believe those units add salt which isn't good. Also rust spots on leaves does sound like calcium. But you have to be careful with a cal/mag supplement because often times it's just one and not the other so we don't need to supplement with both. But yes I would water with a cal/mag supplement as it seems your displaying a bit of both. I would water with full strength cal/mag and 1/2 strength nutes.

ya bro. in fact, you might even be right dude.
I was just providing directions. Ive never used it on a plant with a buildup.
Ive always just assumed the company was trying to warn people for a reason.
it may not be a big deal in most cases tho.
we can agree to disagree.
you have anymore award winning strains you wanna start spreading? just hit me up!

My battery gonna die so ima be fast n come back to explain.... drip clean added mid run will most likely fuck shit up depending on ur situation ... drip clean is a totally different product then clear ex .... drip clean has multiple uses n dosages for different situations.... but a hard flush is not one of then... i speak from yrs using it. Spoke with many reps from hg also .... down to 2%battery im out

I was thinking about it and perhaps they are only warning not to add it to a regular feeding program half way...
Meaning giving it to a healthy plant at normal watering rates(not flushing out a buildup) because it will slowly strip the existing buildup and make it available to the plants.
When Ive used drip clean in the past Ive noticed that the pots don't have a salt build up on them. But when I don't use it I can literally see the salts binding to the pots and I imagine any part of the coco that has ever gotten slightly dry is pretty much the same.
Using drip clean when buildups like that are present seems dangerous.
As far as the "hard flush" not being recommended is because you don't want to remove everything during a "flush".
Dropping the osmotic pressure literally sucks the life out of the plant and into the roots to balance the pressure.
During the last 2 weeks or however long someone might flush it could substantially raise the risk of mold or other problems.
Anyhow, it looks like people get away with it in certain situations so I will not say that it cant be used that way.
Im planning on picking up pekacid because I cant afford dc anymore.
People practically want herb for free these days!

This looks more like a thread on cleanex lol

Do u think I need to flush, or does cal/mag seem like the issue here?

My girls are scrogged so they can't be moved around and I have no way of catching all the runoff I would get from a flush

PS My runoff E.C is around 0.8-1.0 after feeding some plain water, can I rule out a buildup then?

Thanks for all your responses it's helping a lot

No you can't rule out build up as that's what u have.
As long as the plant is not setting in the run off water use drip clean to break shit lose then use. As directed.

I used it mid cycle in hydro. It brought lots of stuff in my barrels. Drained the barrels no prob.

Good hangin in ther for the new guy Marrdogg
