This should be a universal requirement now that we have the technology and it is cheap. Police forces have always been and will always be filled with people who choose that line of work so they can carry a gun and boss people around. That camera, as the statistics say, will fix the problem of police brutality quite nicely.
it's getting exponentially worse here in the states, primarily because LEO keeps hiring former military that are otherwise unemployable. running around shooting folks that do not obey your every command is NOT a skill set I want to see in law enforcement. those boys look at every situation as life & death (for them) and with good reason. the time is going to come when SWAT teams are going to be fired on BEFORE they get the battering ram out of their SUVs.
and they will have no one to blame but themselves...
^They're force fed the "war on terror" "war on drugs" "war on crime"... they're given TANKS and m16's to patrol our streets... they are at war... we are automatically considered the enemies in that war
oh, and a tazer is not a do as I say cattle prod the way they use it these days. In addition to the camera, I would like the slogan changed to "Lead by example" and the tazer to require the same circumstances as pistol use... it is supposed to be a less lethal pistol replacement, therefore, only in instances where use of a pistol would be justified should a tazer be used....
