Hi blynx,
Yes that's correct. I did a grow report for med-man on this strain previously.
40-50 days max and the're ready.

Update flower day 34

Update flower day 34

Hi everyone, next due update! Here are the ladies with panel at day 34 of flower. The ladies got a good shave, aka I defoliated them real good.

With a screen and really weaving those branches in I could have gotten a better canopy... but the buds swell up real nice, even the lower ones! So with that defoliation I'm sure the yield will be decent at least.

here's one more:

The 80w version really penetrates far deeper than the 65w model from what I can see so far.
As I said, it's not quite ideal without the screen, but it looks great so far.
Approximately another 10 days to go! It's flush from here on!

take care & stay safe,

cc

Update flower day 42

Update flower day 42

Hi everyone, Here's the update for day 42 of flowering. This report is nearing its end... I figured I'll give you guys an update on the girls and also a little more info on my setup.
Here's the ladies today:
picture.php

They have really packed on weight and nugs go all the way down to the start of the stem

Here's a total of my tent, it sits inside a bigger tent so I can realise 2 different lightcycles under only one extractor/carbon scrubber unit.
picture.php

The little tent is 120cmX80cm (with a height of 150cm I think)
A tower style moving fan mounted upside down makes for good circulation in there and a small radial fan in one of the bigger inlets extracts the air from the little one into the bigger tent.

As you can see there's nothing in there except for the 4 silver skunks , well it's summer ;-)
I must say I could have seriously improved my results by just adding more plants or giving them a longer veg or simply covering more surface with green. A lot of light is lost here, the panel has a much bigger footprint than just those 4 plants. However it penetrates really well, so there's good bud all the way down to the main stem, not just on an imaginary scrog level.

This here now is a vertical shot of the main irrigation line coming down from the rez and into one of the inlets of the outer tent. the rez sits on top of the tent ( yes it's strong enough). I store a lot of equipment on top of the tent btw.

Here you have the main line with the smaller feedlines that eventually lead to the root pouches and the blumats.
picture.php

Some have asked me why I use rather tiny 1G/ 3,8L pouches...
We'll I'm not planning to grow trees in there. my available space is limited and I prefer to send plants to flower very soon, sometimes as soon as they are rooted properly. I like to have the squat and low, kinda my approach to getting a scrog without a screen... not too many branches stretching upwards and creating too much vertical on the plants.
Secondly, They are beeing fed constantly through the blumats ( well, not exactly, but very often) instead of getting waterings every couple days in bigger pots. So the get the nutes in evenly not at once. This way of feeding requires less root mass in my opinion. Especially since tha plants are rel. small anyways.

Now here'y my "extractor train" ;-)
picture.php

It's a carbon scrubber mounted to a silencer before going into the ( I believe) 220/360 cubic meter switchable fan.

leading into another silencer and then some sonodec insulated ducting
picture.php

The foam mats between tent wall/frame and fan take out any vibrations and further silence it towards the tent wall.
This whole contraption is as loud as a whisper I assure you.

Speaking of whispers, the panel itself is really quiet too, the only thing making any noise is the little computer fan on the back. Nothing like these turbine type needed to cool some other types...
Here's the switch section, just for those who care:
picture.php

it can sit really close over the buds, the heat is vented off the back metal encasing.

Here's one more from below
picture.php

Just to give you an idea, here's another shot of one of the blumats:
picture.php

You can easily spot the little jiffy type coco pellets I used to root the cuts.
I just press a little spot into the top of the the root pouches filled with coco. they then root into the pouch without any problems

I was feeding Hesi nutes all the way, as I said in the beginning.
starting from half strength tnt complex& full strength powerzyme and root complex plus supervit in the beginning of veg to full strength hesi coco , PK13/14, powerzyme, boost and supervit in flower.
I always added a good dose (1ml /10l) of drip clean to keep the lines free and some liquid minus PH to balance PH. The nutes a re mixed in the rez and are constantly fed, not just once or twice a week between regular waterings. the PH in the rez will always swing up a little bit over a couple days after mixxing a new rez, but can easily be adjusted and usually stays put after the second adjusting.

Well everyone, next update will be chop!
s long, takre care and stay safe!

Hi everyone,
I'm really sorry but I have to report a major FAIL.
Due high rh conditions and improper drying, I had to toss the whole harvest.
Mold struck overnight and there was nothing I could have done, too late.
Guess I should have let the buds dry a couple more days before jarring them.
AARRRGHGHHHHHH !!!!

The would-have-been-result was also no where I expected it. Around 700g wet, would probably make 70g dry... not anywhere near what the panels should be capable of.

- I should have given them more veg
- I should have used a screen
- I should have been smarter.

Well to late now .

Perhaps I will do another report during winter when the overall rh is lower, but I can't promise anything as of now....

Thanks for following and again sorry for the unsatisfying end.

That sucks. Best of luck on the next one.

I defoliated my last grow and I regret doing it. Did you see defo vs non-defo in the test grow section? I think I am gonna go back to tucking leaves.

Hmmm not sure about the defo... It worked great for me so far...
But I just had a number of bad situations this run, that I should have taken care of rightaway instead of slacking...
I think I'll check it out though thanks for the hint!
